That thing handles like my revo. Smoothest truck over bumps I've ever driven. I'm seriously thinking of grabbing one of these! Looks like loads of fun.
+Aussie RC Playground I knew the OutCast's were tough trucks but I never knew just HOW TOUGH they really were until watching this video. @7:41 (Especially!) and @8:20 those two wrecks would've COMPLETELY DESTROYED a lesser 1/8th scale basher without a doubt... Arrma has really impressed me with this one. I own a Granite (which I converted to brushless) that's been nearly bulletproof since I got it; you almost expect that from 1/10th scale trucks though, but seeing this thing taking the whooping you just put on it has REALLY validated Arrma (IMHO) as a company that's here to stay! Arrma's durability is 2nd to none and their build quality is not to be overlooked either. GREAT video ARP! Keep'em coming!
I have the current version of this. It has stiffer springs out of the box, I haven't found any yet that are stiffer. In the older arrma trucks, people were going with the Tekno orange springs. The current outcast springs are a bit stiffer than those. The truck really is a lot more fun with heavier diff oil. I run 4S so far with 100k/500k/100k in the diffs. I also removed about 1/3 of the 1000cst stock shock oil out of all 4 shocks and replaced the 1/3 with 2000cst. It still lands hard off a 10 foot drop, but it does it all day long without much trouble. I have RPM arms all around, t-bone rear skid/wheelie bar (stock wing mount/wheelie bar is known to break a lot) and a center tower-to-tower brace. Has taken a lot of abuse so far. Check out my recent vids. I got it almost 2 weeks ago before taking a week off from work and ran the thing A LOT! My stock servo didn't even make it to it's first run before it died. I replaced it with a savox sw-1210sg, put some locktite on the servo saver adjustment and tightened it up a bit. Also recent added a motor fan as my temps were getting up to 170F when running in the grass with 16/50. I also dropped the pinion to 15 to try and combat the esc overheating, but I may have to go to 14... or go 6S and drop it to stock 13 that comes in it now.
Great run Vas 💪 The tires look amazing ! minimal bolloning is great to see! Im designing adjustable shock ends that provide more support & height adjustment because it's a problem on most Bashers. I'm looking forward to you taking home the Gold with a front flip 🍻
This looks so much more fun to drive than your Kraton vids. How would you compare the two since they are basically the same truck, just different lengths? And which do you prefer?
Doing loop de loops is the fun. This is a stunt truck, not a race truck. Making it do overpowered backflips, standing wheelies and going out of control is the whole point. If you don't want that sort of stuff you get the Kraton which is literally the same truck just longer. It handles the power in a much more controlled manner.
Yeah, but my local shop doesn't order arrma so I'm wondering if he thinks it will be durable enough where I can just buy a few parts and be good for a while
Man I've been saving up to get an Xmaxx, but this little beast is making me seriously reconsider getting it instead. I just wish it was a bit bigger (one of the things I like most about Xmaxx is how it can just walk up curbs like they aren't even there)
I think I'm going to get order one. Was on the fence until this video. I have a Talion which is ok but I think the Outcast would be better for them big air jumps. 👍🏻
Whilst I completely agree with u, arrma made these outcast and kraton trucks "parts interchangeable" when it comes to shocks and wheels and tires, they did it to be cheaper on parts to maximize profit
I've only run on 6s had the same feeling. Expected something different. Still solid truck. Sure a bit different diff and shock Floyd will make bid difference. Ouch. Not rod ends. Any chance you have a bent front shock shaft. Mine sitting low in front. Found bent shaft.
So what you think 4s or 6s. Do you think 4s is more manageable and able to pull off stunts better because 6s looks to uncontrollable overpowered like another person commented.
Older video I know but what do you guys think? Worth selling my Proline Pro MT 4x4 for this outcast/notorious? The pro is a little tank but has a few flaws I think I’ve addressed. This truck must be a little bigger I’m thinking
I'm just getting into Rc and not wanting to be upset with my purchase, or my wife kill me because I tossed $500 or more down the drain on something I'm not happy with, so any advice would be helpful and appreciated. I'm looking at the Nero,Kraton,Sabretooth, and Outcast..Which one would I possibly be the happiest with for speed , offroad, back yard racing with a couple buddies, and most durable for hills and jumps.
Asking for opinions. I want a great jumping truck and one that will take street and yard bashing. I want a honest opinion. Which is better the Kraton or the Outcast? That's kinda what I've narrowed it down to. Just very limited funds and wanting to step up from my Stampede 4x4. I don't have anything bigger then 1:10 scale and really am overdue to step up to the big guys. Thanks.
+fredrik magnusson oh yeah... LOL. Forgot about that. 😬 But even so, that wasn't even pushed to the punishment these RCs can take, that was fault with the truck and the material used to make that chassis.
Aussie RC Playground do you know if you can place the mud guards from outcast on the kraton? And the mud guards on the steering on the kraton? keep going nice video's
I don't get why this truck has a rear wing given the fact that it is a stunt truck. Now it can't get on it's feet again by itself. Maybe Arrma should provide a optional chassis brace between the shock towers for extra strengthening. If seen Arrma chassis bending on RUclips with heavy punishing... Was looking forward to this video Vas, thanks!
+Gerard Scheffer I've never bent any chassis on any of my cars, ARRMA or any other brand. If you're bending chassis, then you're doing something with the RC that it's not meant to do or you're crashing, and that's called an accident. Yes, chassis braces will help prevent chassis bending in case of bad landings or accidents, but I'm yet to see a company release an RC with HD chassis braces similar to those home made ones that are posted on social media. Every RC has its limits and if you are going to go beyond them, then that's on you, not the company that makes it. Don't you think?
For sure, every rc has it's limits. I like to drive my rc a bit conservative because hars bashing worns the whole car down, not only the parts that are breaking. But that's to everyone to deside for them selves of course. If I recall correct, didn't the ST4 chassis bent? That chassis is/was known for bending anyway. I think Arrma is a fantastic brand and the cars are though enough. The only thing that I think that could be better is that the brace that is in now on this platform should reach onto the top of diff mounting. That would stop it from flexing anyway.
+Gerard Scheffer yeah, the brace design could be improved, but I'm not sure it needs it in a buggy chassis. The ST4 had a slight curve to it when I rebuilt it after 2 years of hard bashing. Given the punishment I put it through and for the length of time, I'm more than happy with its durability and would hardly call it a flaw. ST4/MT4 chassis only bent due to heavy abuse by users, they are very tough trucks and from my experience with them, you'd have to be doing some pretty crazy stuff to bend those chassis.
The ST4 GoPro bash has produced a nice video anyway. Personally, I often impressed what rc can endure. I brought the brace up just as an suggestion for Outcast as it’s a stunt truck. I am quit sure this platform is strong enough. Rc’s are not indestructible of course. It’s good to see that the nice body is provided with oval body post holes. Let’s hope Arrma will use and support this platform for some time because I like it a lot. And the reason why I knew I wanted this car was due to this channel!
not wheelie bar,i meant the tire/wheel combo thats on the outcast. the ones that look like proline badlands. was wondering if they would fit on the nero.
I have both the e-revo as well as the new outcast and Kraton. I can assure you the outcast wins hands down!!! The Kraton and the Outcast both BEAT the E-revo down in every way ,and that's even after spending and exrtra 500.00 dollars in upgrades for the revo like I have done. Don't get me wrong the revo has been a GR8 truck but there just not in the same class as Arrma..
Could not have said that better myself. My friend has the e-Revo, Savage Flux and also a Kraton, I can tell you that although he enjoys both the e-Revo and Savage Flux there's no comparison to how good these ARRMA cars are. Their handling and the punishment they can take is second to none.
I might have to pick one up soon. How is it to work on them. E revo looks simple to work on. The savage has those twin plates that can be a pain to separate at times.
Yes i would agree with that, the outcast will be joining my family soon, the revo is an absolute animal but not kraton tough, the Kraton is the go too time after time
That's what my buddy runs in his talion. Some say running a single 6S has the individual cell voltages be more consistent, but I'm not sure why it would matter. His truck is ridiculously overpowered on 6S. Fun to watch him air it out though. :)
How to Wot Traxxas is in the middle of suing Arrma. What a way to ruin this hobby. Supposedly Arrma copies their suspension setup from the Revo on the Nero. I hope they lose because I really like this brand. I have the Talión, and it’s a great truggy. I also have a Rustler VXL and an E-MAXX brushless. I’ll be getting a Nero with the Diff Brain next.
I am right there with you. Like a lot of people I started out with a Traxxas vehicle or two. Once I found companies like ARRMA and a few others why would I ever go back to Traxxas? Honestly, after driving my Kraton or Outcast driving my stampede is really boring... The only thing I have found to be as much fun as my ARRMA trucks is my Tekno MT410.
I love mine, i have even nuttier electronics in mine, 82 lenth 1600kv can with a max8. 19tooth pinion on proline badlands tires to help tame it down some... its too much honestly haha, run mime on 4s mainly, 6s just to show off occasionally 😉 proven to be tough. Especially with the aluminum braces and a big t bone bumper on the front.
I love how those pillow balls pop out instead of breaking the arm, instead of a trip to the hobby shop, its a trip back to the trunk of my car.
That thing handles like my revo. Smoothest truck over bumps I've ever driven. I'm seriously thinking of grabbing one of these! Looks like loads of fun.
Wow! Great vid! That roll at 7:40 is the gnarliest tumble I think I've ever seen an RC take. NICE!

Simply AWESOME Vas!! thats how You BASH!!! Great Video!!
Very impressive with the handling, power and stability. Great bashing video.👍
Your Driving Skills Have Leveled Up Bro Your A Beast On That Remote With 6s ✌
+CapitalDeeRC Thank you. :)
Great run Vas 💪 The tires look amazing ! minimal bolloning is great to see! Im designing adjustable shock ends that provide more support & height adjustment because it's a problem on most Bashers. I'm looking forward to you taking home the Gold with a front flip 🍻
Great truck that is what I want for my next Rc. Great vid bud I'm Subscribing . HELLO from Canada eh
Great video Vas, looking forward to your mods on it, I get mine in a couple of weeks hopefully and you will have it figured out by then 😜😜
I put Associated yellow truggy springs in the front of mine, it did help some.
The Fazon is not fascinating me, but I would like to have the outcarst

I would like to see this running a set of 3.8" Trencher Tires ;)
Looks awesome, I will definitely look into that!!
Little Tip if you want to do frontflips: when you made the flip, you have to give it a bit of throttle so it stabilizes itself👍
good tip.thats why it always lands crooked
Agreed. And use the steering to correct any 'unbalance' head diving.
I love it, would you recommend it for a real hard basher?
RC Trend i can asure you it is.. like the hardcore basher i am i do recomend it.
Does the label stunt truck mean nothing to you? RC Trend
What can i say!!..State of the art running vid Vas.
Yeah, but my local shop doesn't order arrma so I'm wondering if he thinks it will be durable enough where I can just buy a few parts and be good for a while
It look absolutely badass. Just badass
This thing has got some spicy juice!!
Man I've been saving up to get an Xmaxx, but this little beast is making me seriously reconsider getting it instead. I just wish it was a bit bigger (one of the things I like most about Xmaxx is how it can just walk up curbs like they aren't even there)
Love the outcast true beast monster truck keep up the good work 💪 arrma power
That thing is a beast on 6S, so I guess I'll stick to 4S until I get used to it. Great Video...
Man, arrma outcast is mad! Lovin' it!
Out of hand !!!!! Perfect stuff.... RCFL Bro
Tough and looks like a BEAUTY!
I think I'm going to get order one. Was on the fence until this video. I have a Talion which is ok but I think the Outcast would be better for them big air jumps. 👍🏻

I have that 6A Graphene 6s batery on my Xray XT8. But i haven't run yet. Needs eletronics and motor! :) Nice!
Sick arrma power on 6s beast mode jumps 👍 👍 👍
Really cool RC car and so powerful, nice Video man 😎...
Great review, sealed the deal for me.
Great video! I love the body on this truck.
One Luv!
man thats some badass driving! i have a quick question im undecided between buying this truck or the new kraton which one would u recommend

wow, damm that thing took a beating! wish I could do that type of jumps with my hpi savage. lol
Nice video as always Vas ! Given the price tage of the outcast , is the v2 Kraton not better value ??
Amazing driving my friend
Love your style of driving!
sir vasco what was your run time with that battery?
thanx
Should i buy this truck or kraton V2? I mainly ride it on concrete and sand and going to do some jumps? So wich one should i buy?
In your opinion, what is the best choice? Outcast or Fazon?
Older video I know but what do you guys think? Worth selling my Proline Pro MT 4x4 for this outcast/notorious? The pro is a little tank but has a few flaws I think I’ve addressed. This truck must be a little bigger I’m thinking
AWESOMENESS!!!
i cant wait to get this!!!!
tell me the wheels are not heavy on version 6s? worth buying?
Beast mode !!

What are your thoughts on the Turnigy Graphene batteries?
Hey brother. I'm new to this. I bought the Outcast and the same ball popped out on my front upper a arm. How did you pop it back in?
did u fix it..goto your local hobby shop..they will fix it for nearly nothing
yup this is my next truck thanks to you bud. Im in love lol
Runs really good!
Please do the traxxas wreck brushless on this track just like you did with this car please put the car through a lot of stress
What is a traxxas wreck, they dont make such a thing
Oh, by "Wreck", he probably meant "Any" Traxxas brushless product. So nice that I don't have to break the bank on RPM upgrades on my Arrma products.
hahahaha
Steve Caron lol so true
This is the one with the diff brain? Have you had any troubles with it?
I'm Wondering how the Battery Feels about These Hard impacts
If I'm looking to do Bashing do you recommend it? Not looking to do stunts more bashing
TubeSurfer emaxx upgraded, try eBay!! Im selling a thunder tiger e-mta , also a great basher
nice jumps and backflips..!
That is one tough truck!
hi, 1 pack 6s are better or same with 2pack 3s?

keep going nice video's
Looks like it needs the center diff loosened up a lot.
mad vid, which bmx track is this?
When I first heard that nitro I thought your pinion slipped.
What other RCs, with the exception of a couple, can you run like that? Amazing video. Arrma tough
how were your temps after running 6s?

So... outcast or kraton and why?
((Big E voice))
AND FEEEEEEL....THA POWAAAAAAAAAAA!!
Do you know if that wheel/tire combo will fit on the nero? Thanks
+George Silliman No, it will not. The Nero has its own wheelie bar.
not wheelie bar,i meant the tire/wheel combo thats on the outcast. the ones that look like proline badlands. was wondering if they would fit on the nero.
Runtime on the 6s 6000mah graphene?
hey, how do you record your videos?
I don't get it, Outcast is exact same as kraton but more money? I mean kraton more worth to buy than outcast
CaptainR 777
same price and not same exact at all
Hi Vas where do you test drive your cars?love your videos my name is Adam. I've hpi vorza flux thank you
+Adam Fenech
Hi Adam, I mainly use the BMX track at Sycamore reserve in Mill Park, Melbourne. Cheers.
Where do you buy your cars from Vasse??
With my Hpi vorza flux what size pinion should I use for maximum speed ???
can you run it on a single 3s 5500ma 35c
is it better than the nero
Can you show some stunts on tarmac?
Nice one!
This is my dream rc car
Very stable.. 👍
nice kit but how does these Armas compare to a e-revo, savage flux or a lst 2 xxl e.
I might have to pick one up soon. How is it to work on them. E revo looks simple to work on. The savage has those twin plates that can be a pain to separate at times.
Yes i would agree with that, the outcast will be joining my family soon, the revo is an absolute animal but not kraton tough, the Kraton is the go too time after time
MrGdbsti05 Maintenance on the kraton, Outcast and typhon is child's play compared to the E-Revo ....
should i buy this one or the kraton ?
Timothée Liens definitely Kraton, buy wheelie bar, save you £300
Nice Video
do you have the same power on 2x 3S?
That's what my buddy runs in his talion. Some say running a single 6S has the individual cell voltages be more consistent, but I'm not sure why it would matter. His truck is ridiculously overpowered on 6S. Fun to watch him air it out though. :)
Tune it like Thomas P and the beast will come out.
where is that?
Traxxas better step it up if they want to compete with arrma
Kraton better than revo
granite better than stampede
what next?
Something better than xmaxx hopefully
I love mine, i have even nuttier electronics in mine, 82 lenth 1600kv can with a max8. 19tooth pinion on proline badlands tires to help tame it down some... its too much honestly haha, run mime on 4s mainly, 6s just to show off occasionally 😉 proven to be tough. definitely needs a bit of suspension work, but boy does that thing look squirrely on 6s...lol

success looks like it's a little too much power for this truck if you can't control it it takes all the fun out of it
Fun is subjective, my friend. 😉
frontflips are tough to land.

that thing is MEAN
It hurts watching try and flip it over. Lol
