"I can maybe get 4 grand $4,500 out of it. I'll give you$ 3,100 for it." That's about right depending on mileage. Rick should be in partnership with one of those so called "classic car dealers" that have cropped up all over the place in the last couple of years and advertise in Hemmings, Ebay, etc. because THEY will list it for $15,000 knowing some sucker will come along and actually pay that price!

Rick would have probably walked away from such a ridiculous price. He probably would have given him the original 3100 orginal offer anyways as a starting point.

My grandpa has that exact car I'm seeing it right now
We sold ours and the guy who bought it cut the top off and made a convertible. Plus painted it red, it was originally creamy yellow.

no way man, 12 thousand cash here in america you can get something really nice.
There are numerous classic cars that cost $100,000 and might not be as nice as a modern $100,000 car.
I know. I so my car I had personally owned 20 years for only $225 and within four months I did see it rolling down the road. it was a real cheap part to fix the car. just happy the kid that bought it and his mom had to bring him over . Less than a hundred bucks later it still going. I still smile when I see it rolling with my original vanity plate on the front of a local football team! it's cool some of the youth still work on older cars so I don't mind selling the car cheap. that car was a beautiful one though

Unless it’s extremely low miles (which it isn’t) it doesn’t matter with classic cars. Plus it’s hard to prove original miles on these cars when the odometer only goes to 100k. What affects it value is it’s fwd. Car guys don’t spend money on fwd caddies.
Sure would love to have one to drive now. I'd have paid him twice what Rick is paying for it.
