- The stiff south easterly wind meant a change of plan so instead of paddling through the Arisaig skerries, this turned out to be a meander along the southern shore of Loch nan Ceall. The consolation was a beautiful beach for lunch.
Such a beautiful area to paddle - amazing coloured sands
The water at some of the spots look gorgeous! Great day on the water
Waiting on my active, should be with me soon hopefully? Just as an aside, how do you mount your camera?
Mouth mount !
Qmmay I
Ask please, what make and model are those fbous scoop paddles? Thank you. I love the video. Really geel like I'm to here too!
I've had these for years they are epic mid wing. Latest models are carbon blades with choice of shaft. If you're thinking of buying consider carefully the area of the blade and length of shaft according to your height, weight and style of paddling. I would get epic small mid if I replace them. Go to the epic kayaks UK website and run through the paddle wizard. But other manufacturers do make smaller paddles. Better a bit smaller than bigger
@@juleskayak thanks for such a fabulously comprehensive answer. Truly very helpful and I will indeed go to the website and have a butchers. They look superb for touring. All very helpful. Again, thank you. Pam
Great views despite the wind ! Where were the other group of kayakers from ?
Fort William Rockhoppers
@@juleskayak thanks for your video. How do you find the PACE. Is it fast as the name suggests and how is the stability. Thanks Colm
@@colmhanrahan2769 The Pace Action is a great all rounder. It's not meant to be ultimately fast but IMHO has a perfect combination of speed and manoeuvrability. Rudder up great straight line speed and control especially downwind in a following sea, no need for stern rudder strokes, will leave others behind as your effort is totally forward. Rudder up excellent maneuver ability. Plenty of stability, take pictures all the time. Check out other videos in the same kayak
What is your kayak brand name. How much money did you pay for your kayak?
That is the Tiderace Pace. If you can find them in the PNW, US, they are about $4500 I think.
If I’m seeing this right, it’s a Pace Action. Tiderace makes three Pace models, 16’, 17’, and 18’. This is the 16 footer. Beautiful design. Made in Portugal by Nelo/Tiderace.
