Nice progression! I’m down in Tacoma and found strawberry trees much easier to bonsai than kinnikinnick and manzanita. Even though I still grow them regardless without much issue. Thanks for the multi year project! 🤘
Always nice to see and learn about a new species for bonsai. What is also new for me is the term 'semi edible' does that mean the fruit is only edible at certain times or only parts of the fruit are edible?
Where I was born, in central Italy, we call these fruits "cocomeri". In Italian is "corbezzoli". There is a small mountain made of white rock, overlooking the sea - about 500 m. high - full of these trees. Its name come from the fruit: Monte Conero. It's a beautiful place, take a look on the web.
Thank you for the extensive video. I have a strawberry unedo tree in a pot on my balcony. It doesn’t have a great shape and I can’t get it to develop leaves on the bare branches. What do I need to do?
Man, I love your channel. I'm not sure if people can truly appreciate the work and dedication that goes into a video like this. I also really enjoy your yamadori videos. I watch them all the time for the scenery and how jealous they make me lol. Thanks for sharing. Keep it up
This is such a great video! Lots of work over the years and I can imagine that it takes patience to put a video like this together. Very nice to see though!! I might try and find myself a tree like this. Thank you!
Those are really cool! I hadn’t known what a strawberry tree looked like before now. Definitely looks more like a lychee. Great trunks and really nice trees.
Daggum, Ben! Some fantastic work with these! They came a looong way in 4-5 years, brother. You might need to buy your neighbors out and take over their yard. Daggum, that was a lot of trees covering your yard during the growing season!!
I love the way it's progressing. Thanks for sharing!
BoobyDuke! you should try your hand at Bonsai! your creativity will match it perfectly!
Great stuff as always Ben.
thank you

In my country (Italy) we call it "Corbezzolo"

it is edible, but the taste just is not that great was what I meant.

That was a really nice compilation. Thank you for taking the time to share its progression. Very nice tree, indeed.
