This was a unique an informative video. I don't remember seeing a video of a nursery tour with a pro and what he would do in a nursery considering nursery stock. You guys should do that again (more). Very cool video guys.
Would love a video on what you were explaining with the shishi Japanese maple. Something about grafting branches to the roots to help them do something. Would love to hear more in depth about that technique and what it’s called!😊
Good evening from the Netherlands 🇳🇱 I’m excited 😊 to lern more about that. I’m new to bonsai
Dude I love maples and the fact this nursery has shishi’s ayo…. Imma need that now now
“Of burlap” 😂 great save
Really good tips. Thanks.
I am a frequent visitor to this nursery! Yes, most of my visits ends up with me leaving empty handed but, getting my hands in soil and the delicious aroma of the plants, themselves makes it worth the time. Thanks for another educational and entertaining presentation, Ben. Keep up the great work. Cheers, Dick from Vancouver.
A nursery in the north west has so much more than a nursery in the southeast. But there are not a lot of people digging through looking for the bonsai material. Not that there is a lot but you can get lucky.
I appreciate the attempt but your professional was zero percent helpful. Just saying this isn’t good doesn’t help. Maybe be more articulate and state what your looking for, why something is good or bad. Nice try but needs work. Thx
I just bought a $70 Austrian, it's grafted, Eric didn't mention but a lot of Nursery trees have a graft, the interesting thing is there are 2 little branches coming out from the 4+ inch trunk. Thinking of twisting some of the Austrian branches to get them gnarly, then gin them once they take and keep the little branches below the graft. Don't know what pine it is yet.
What kind of tree did Eric recommend at the beginning of the vet the video? He said it was a main state of the bonsai or clubs there in Oregon
how much were those trees from randy knight?
What type plants did you guys pick out at the end? What species are they called?
you can tell its a bonsai if the tag is in a foreign language
How to contact Randy for trees?
👍👍👍❤❤❤
Going to a nursery for a good bonsai is like going to a homeless shelter looking for a pornstar
5:47 lmaoooo
Lol we both had a good chuckle when he said that. Glad your as dirty as we are

Please get a new camera, the blurriness is super distracting and hard to watch
are you watching in 1080? Please making sure to change your settings.
@@BenBSeattleyour users shouldn’t have to change any settings to enjoy your content but just to see if it changed I did change it to 1080 and it’s still blurry when you pan over back and forth. Example at 0:47
@@leilanidoofy90 the resolution is based on your internet connection at the time of watching. Pan will cause some blurriness typically on non dedicated videos cameras. I'm glad your tuning in thanks for the feedback
Great info and perspectives. Thank you!
Its verry good 👍🙏
At the end of video. Why would you want a tree that huge on a pot?? 😂
