  • Verity Africa spent some time with RUclips sensation Cara Titilayo Harshman. Titilayo is a University of Wisconsin journalism student who studies Yoruba. She moved to Ibadan, Nigeria to fully immerse herself in the Yourba culture. When videos of Titilayo speaking fluent authentic Yoruba hit the web, it immediately went viral. Here she is interacting with folks at Lagos market. :)

(what is this?), otiton (i am done), odagbo (goodbye). nice. very nice indeed.

The truth of the matter is that many of us cannot speak or understand the language...
Our children are so bad in local languages that many of they do not even understand it, much less speak or appreciate it...
Many pay so much to learn french n other languages... I appreciate that she has learnt mine.

Come to Germany and see how Africans speak perfect German and no German would feel you have brocken a world record because they expects you to learn and speak German if you want to live in Germany. It shouldn't be something extraordinary for foreigners to learn and speak Africa languages
