I can't believe they're not painting the back of their figures and even not finishing the sculpts...straight up crime. Pure disgraceful because now we're just starting to see it more and more.
These aren't even QC issues. QC implies factory issues like paint smudges, molding issues, etc. The problems here are conscious decisions by McF to save a buck.
The one thing I will give them is that Wally is actually the correct height. People forget but during Trial of the Flash and Crisis, The OG Titans are adults like Dick being Nightwing. Wally too is an adult and becomes Flash right after Crisis.
Really hoping for a GITD Spectre rerelease one day that is not $40. I also agree that Supes body is perfect for Superman figures from now on. Mcfarlane is welcome to repaint it for different Superman looks til the cows come home--just use that body!
If they make the figures cost $40, I expect more paint apps, added shading, more accessories, swappable parts. These not only don't do that, they cut back on paint apps, like I didn't see the half-painted belt on Superman coming, but that's just ridiculous.

In the Crisis on Infinite Earths story Kid Flash is meant to be that. Kid Flash. A teen. Yet, when he wears Barry Allen/The Flash costumes he looks just like him. Doesn´t look like a teen version of Flash. He looks like an adult.

BUT I am really really really hoping he does The Question cause I really love him and think we're overdue. I'm really betting on Todd's business practice of re-issues and re-colors that he will do the Monitor with comic accurate colors, the same with Psycho Pirate and Old Superman. I really don't like the over texturing on the Monitor and I don't like the expression on the Superman. I absolutely agree on all your points.
Ridiculous that Todd is charging this much for figures with QC and scaling issues. I'm at a point where I don't think I'll be buying DC Multiverse figures from him unless I find them on sale. Just ridiculous
I honestly think that the booties are the right direction for a new TT style Robin. That being said, I only find Superman worth it. Especially because of the new sculpt and pairing him up with DC 27 Batman is peak. These figures aren’t worth it tho. They’ll release single cards later on anyway.
I'm really torn here. On one hand, there are a lot of very baffling and obvious screw ups (the Flash hands are a hilarious WTF for me) with these figures and the $40 price tag is outrageous. If Target dropped out of carrying these in store, I'm sorry to say, McFarlane Toys should have eaten some of the cost here and made the wave $120 or something instead of $100. $160 for the wave, the "sale" price, minus the 10%-----including shipping and tax the wave is still $150 for me. BUT I'm a completest and this wave is going to be $$$$ on the secondary market if you're even going to be able to find it. Is there any chance that MTS clearances out this wave after a while? Also, what are the odds of getting a Platinum figure in the mix and of course buying the bundle give you a much better chance of winning that "raffle" they're going to have for the Platinums. Argh. So, so stupid all around. Thanks for the thorough review though.
While the 40 was alot I do really love this superman even with it's issues its the only superman i need from the line unless we get a modern look with the body
Being a huge JSA fan I have always loved the Pre Crisis Earth 2 Superman. But the figure looks terrible. Especially the "S" on the cape and the oversized hands.
Mcfarlane toys also gets u on tha shipping just like the 4Horsemen. Theyre getting arrogant and lazy. They look like counterfiet 3rd party from China made these.
The only reason to get this is because of Spectre and the BAF which I hate that marketing strategy because you have to buy all the figures to get it smh.
Coming from the same folks that gave you the My cousin Vinny superman I couldn't believe that two pack made it to the stores .somebody should have got fired on that one .lol

These new pack of figures are EXACTLY like the Chinese knock offs (bootleg) when they didn't paint the back side of the figures... And then put a very expensive price on them.... what an incredible crime. You should be ashamed of yourself MC FARLANE...!!!

That Superman head sculpt could be a great Perry White with a good repaint and new body like, say The Penguin from 'The Batman" movie wave.
Seems like with every McFarlane Superman figure, it's always so close yet so far away. Hopefully this is not the last we see of this mold for him.
I'll wait for a sale on these, if not I won't lose any sleep over it. Hopefully Spectre will restock

I got the whole wave, and my favorite is Earth 2 Superman. None of these figures are worth $40, though.
I also agree that Psycho Pirate should’ve had a removable mask as well as faces. Happy, terrified, angry etc

I just got the superman, I couldn't care for the rest. It is a great superman, the cape is all I needed
