ShartimusPrime Biography:
Inspired by watching boring Transformers action figure reviews, the ShartimusPrime youtube channel was launched in 2008. Engaging the audience with an edgy sense of humor for adult collectors, action figure collecting has never been this fun, and videos are posted daily! Unexpectedly, the channel became more popular for Marvel Legends reviews and Spider-Man, Avengers, and X-Men collection display videos. After a few years, the channel has branched out to review other figure properties aside from Marvel Legends and G1 Transformers Masterpiece. Hot Toys, Star Wars, Diamond Select Toys, DC Collectibles, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Dragon Ball Z, Attack on Titan, Godzilla, Evil Dead, and The Walking Dead toy lines have all been added to the roster of nearly 2,000 video reviews. Japanese import figures from SH Figuarts, Bandai, Figma, Square Enix, and Medicom MAFEX have been favorites as well. More recently, Kotobukiya Statues (including the very sexy Bishoujo line) and NECA Toys have become more prevalent on the channel. Being a big fan of movies such as Spider-Man, Batman, X-Men, Iron Man, Captain America, The Avengers, Evil Dead, Pacific Rim, Aliens, and other films has lead the channel in the direction of also reviewing movies, movie trailers, blu ray releases, and tv shows. News updates for 2016 releases and beyond are also posted. Audience engagement is a big part of this channel, with giveaways and fan mail being read publicly once a week in the PO Box Pick-Up videos. Impressive “Shart-Art” is shared via social media and included in the opening theme song. The audience is also kept up to date with any changes to the channel, along with recent comic book pick-ups, unboxings, and action figure hauls. Stop-motion segments punishing the popular meme of the Big Time Let Down Spider-Man close most of the comparison segments, and are compiled together for guaranteed access to patrons. Lastly, all figure reviews close with a slideshow featuring dynamic poses of the figure inspired by ACBA, with the added bonus of music performed and recorded by ShartimusPrime himself.

Especially for the extra pricepoint, there is absolutely no excuse for skimping on paint apps on Superman's belt, and skimping on accessories, like they definitely could have given Psycho Pirate an interchangable unmasked head, which given the variant they just revealed, they do have that headsculpt.
There's something chronically half-assed about the DC Multiverse line. Every once in a while they produce something great (Knightfall Batman), but the compromises are too frequent and too glaring across the line.

Like 95% of the line is just bare plastic garbage with no accessories. And the 5% that’s barely worth even $20 is still bare plastic with no accessories.
They’re toys for my kids that I occasionally buy on clearance. Definitely not adult collectibles.

@@Hilltopperpetemost figures are a solid color with paint covering them. Like with Kyle Rayner GL, his gloves are cast in bright green with the white gloves just painted on. Like wouldn’t it make more sense to just cast them in their respective colors?
I’ve slowly learned that nothing from McFarlane is worth it. Their figures kinda suck imo. But hey others may enjoy it more
I don't like McFarlane Scale, Sculpts, Selection, or Articulation. I AM a DC Collector, I have built 6 different DC Earth's. I have bought exactly 5 McFarlane Figures; Devastator, Gorilla Grodd, Lex Luthor in Green Battlesuit, Atom Smasher, and Swamp Thing to replace an old wayyyy undersized Swamp Thing from the TV days!

@@Forza-G7 I’ll take Hasbro’s Marvel Legends over DC Multiverse (McFarlane) figures any day but they are a bit more expensive than DC for sure. But I can’t get past rudimentary ankle joints, brittle arm sockets, and lack of thigh swivel of DC figures
I for one like the brand new body mold for Superman which is better than being a little short but I really hope when Todd releases a new classic Superman that he should use the Crisis on Infinite Earth's Earth' 2 Superman body for $20.00 to $22.99, Great honest review Shartimus.

Superman is a brand new mold from top to bottom.
I'll be picking it up for sure but the price does hurt. Psycho Pirate is a must for me and I want kid flash for my flash family. Honestly I have pretty much every important piece Todd has put out so if I didn't get the wave I'll definitely be kicking myself later.
Is that Spectre on the same body as the Martian Manhunter they did I don’t actually own it but it looks like it and also would explain the textured skin on the figure

Rubber diapers, frequent off model designs/colours, scale issues. Ugh. This is the first major DC line since Super Powers I have bought zero figures from.

I just got the Superman because I think that's the best figure from this wave. I'm not trying to buy the whole way from McFarlane store for his price especially since it's sold out fast, beside he should have do it the same way he did the build a Plastic Man wave this way I would have got it from GameStop since it's sold out everywhere. From what I heard the price hike was a one time thing because this was originally going to be a Target exclusive wave, and Target turned it down. So McFarlane Toys had to pivot and sell it directly on their online store. That's why these were priced more than usual. However, if you used the MTS10 code for 10% off and ordered the discounted bundle, the figures only came out to around $28 each. (And that's with the shipping included). So I ordered the set and I actually really like it. The Superman and Spectre are the gems of the wave, but I also really like Psycho Pirate, and the Monitor BAF is very cool as well. My only real complaint is Kid Flash's hands. His left fist hand is much smaller than his right, and it looks really weird.
The only reason I’m getting DC Multiverse is because there ain’t much 6-7” scale DC figures that are *relatively* inexpensive. The moment some other company comes out with 6-7” scale DC figures, I’m done with Todd. Very rarely does he put out a figure with nothing that makes me say “what the fuck?” Most recent one I can think of is Knightfall Batman.
