They were scoring more without a 3 point line. They obviously dont need the scoring if you look up the averages
Older ballers are gold. They been thru hell but speak on the softball.
This guy had the body of your neighbor and mucled his way in an era dominated by centers with the hand check. Still has the record of most assist and steals. Just imagine him play in this era, just nobody could touch him... This era became a show for the fans, theres no defense anymore
Wow John Stockton is a legend
Stockton in this generation would be one of the best players in the NBA the man could shoot
I've gone from a diehard nba fan watching any team play to not being able to watch more than occasional highlights
I stopped watching the NBA years ago. It's basically a boring 3 point shooting contest and uncontested layups to the hoop now.
He may not realize this but if Stockton played in today's NBA he would've averaged 30 points per game because he was an amazing shooter.
The same goes for Steve Nash as well. Those guys came up in an era when you HAD to set everything up and not shoot as much.
This current era would've really showcased their skill sets even further.
John Stockton is the GOAT pound for pound.
❤
I agree with Stockton
Goated❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉
I don't even really watch games anymore just highlights. Way too much 3 point shooting, no defense, no post up game. Hard to watch these days, I miss 90's basketball.
Stockton is 100% correct. There’s no balance
"Its mr stockton to you" - gp
John Stockton explained in 30 seconds why the NBA today is absolute trash compared to where it was in the 1980s and 1990s and even the early 2000s.
He’s so credible in this too because he was apart of the most viewed nba finals
I didn't watch one NBA game this year because the overall excitement is disappearing. I miss the big men contesting each other under the rim, hands on defense and the best wanting to compete and beat the best verses playing with the best to beat the rest. Sports are becoming so soft that it is taking away the competitive edge that make fans want to watch and players to play the game.

He’s 10000000000000000% right
Look at this man’s eyes, he doesn’t stop scanning
It’s his work to scan the court and pass the ball or steal it on the other side
Bring back hand checking
