To be a princess is to live a dream come true. It’s not just about royalty, marrying a prince, learning manners and wearing sparkly dresses. True princesses are innocent, loyal, noble and passionate; they always listen to their heart and let their beauty shine from within. Above all, a princess believes in her dreams, chases magic, spreads kindness and does her best to make the world a better place.
Some girls are born princesses and others become them, but we all start somewhere. On behalf of the Kingdom, I cordially invite you to attend the Grand Ball tonight, and to help get your ready, please enjoy hearing my ten lessons on how to be a real princess! Once upon a time in a faraway land, there lived a princess named Liana Rose - soft hearted, dreamy and blossoming with magic. She lives in a cottage deep in the rosy woods and oftentimes gets swept up, up and away into a world of her own making. One can easily recognise when this princess is near by her signature scent of wild strawberries and the trail of rosebuds that fall from her pearl-blonde curls. I remember when I frist stumbled upon this video years ago and thought wow! To find another person like myself across the world who chooses to be a princess in real everyday life. I found the affirmations/ quotes in this video so inspiring. Ever since I was young I found myself drawn to the princesses I read about in fairytails and in old Disney movies they where role models to me and made me the woman I am today. I was always inspired by their kindness, grace, poise, courage, inner beauty and magical glow they all carried. The princesses storeies that impacted my life the most where Snow White, Cinderella, and Sara from "The Little Princess" book.

My mother and my 15-year-old brother think that true princesses are bratty spoiled rotten women who are always demanding and don't care about others and only care about themselves. They think that true princesses are always selfish and think they're better than everybody and always chop people's heads off if their servants make a little mistake.

Your highness, perhaps I am not a beautiful princess like you are, but I really look up to you, and I've always wanted to be like you. But one thing that I have really been struggling with lately is my hair. I once had lovely curls that I adored, but my mother sadly did not appreciate my hair in the way that I did. And so after years of repetitive straightening and chemical treatments to make my hair straighter, my hair became damaged, frizzy, and untamed. I have really lost a part of myself because of this, and my self-esteem is at an all-time low. But I try to be positive and see the good in everything, just like a princess would. I'm unsure if you'll ever see this, as I'm sure you are a very busy woman, managing the affairs of your kingdom, but if you ever come across this comment, I would be so very grateful if you would offer me your advice.

OMG same! I used to follow that "not like other girls" trope. But the fact of the matter is, i actually wasn't very confident in myself. And being black, we arent really seen as feminine and soft anyway so I thought it would just be easier to be a tomboy.
