TheMarineGamer IGGHQ he's most definitely not in a laid down position, he's sat down in a chair, only time you are in a "laying down position" is when you are hatch down
TheMarineGamer IGGHQ even hatch down you aren't in a laying down position, the chair lowers and raises to your requirements, the chair literally has about a meters of vertical movement!
SHE NEEDS MORE POWER!! That pack is not rated to carry the up armour and extra weight and systems being added. Put her in hot and duty conditions and she will struggle. She needs a brand new powerpack system ASAP.
Sitting at 62 the 1200 wasn't enough but it still does the job well mind, but now she's at 74 she is in real need of a 1500 and new 5 speed gear box that ain't a bitch
Oman's Challenger 2E's export version have the 1500hp engine which improves things considerably especially in desert conditions. So I don't know why the British Chally's didn't have them installed. Lets hope with this upcoming upgrade it will be done.
i drove one of them when it was first built on test in Canada, I didn't know what tank it was at the time the officer just after I got out told me I was the 9th person to test drive one lol I was only posted out there turned out to be brilliant loved it
No. You normally sit in the vehicle with the hatch down in fighting conditions but for exercise the drivers usually open the hatch. They’re also seated in
the womble no idea mate. There are a number of mods made to the engine which had the unplanned side effect of increased speed according to my tankie mates
Lucid Spam it’s a big event called Tankfest in Bovington in England, it takes part in the tank museum and they bring out and show off all the tanks however this big guy in the video is an active challenger 2, the UK’s main battle tank.

Not to mention how much head room the driver gets! The damn thing was scraping his helmet!

Matsimus yes because the people there have enough money for a new power unit, and a more powerful one at that
@tanknutdave Is it common for the turret to run over the poor drivers head or is he just tall/sitting further up?

Hi Dave, love the vid. Many thanks. Just wondered ,have the ATDU boys uprated the CV12 on this vehicle? Seems pretty nippy for 75 tons .
the womble no idea mate. There are a number of mods made to the engine which had the unplanned side effect of increased speed according to my tankie mates
Cheers Dave. I know they are looking at tinkering with the engine when (if ) the LEP mods ever go ahead. Just wondered if ATDU had got there first!
