What Teya and Selena just did is create ART. To take a Poet/writer and use his name as a double entendre meaning in a song is crazy talent right there!! They literally made a fun, quirky song that actually under all the synth and hard hitting bass lies a sinister dark truth about the industry. Notice how they dressed as men at one point of the video too? Female writers tend to have their music pushed to the bottom or have no creative control hence the "Girl, call Universal, you're about to be a star" - it's throwing shade. Universal are known to not give creative freedom to artist's as well as take huge chunks of their earnings. It's such a depressing reality but somehow, just somehow, these girls created an absolute masterpiece. I hope Europe learns the backstory of this song and votes for it. I'm scared the meaning is going to be ignored :( - 10/10 from me! Go Austria!!
This is the absolute “Art of rearrangement” It’s like taking all the good qualities of last year’s Konstrakta’s, Subwoolfer’s & Brooke’s entries, blending them altogether in the best possible way (over a topic that both the public AND the jury can relate) to create something extraordinarily unique that you would NOT say that you heard it before. It’s addictive. There’s a song in my body 🤣❤️ Thank you Austria 🙏
I loved both of them when they competed at an austrian singing competition a few years ago. So happy with this song. I can't wait to see them perform it 😁
The Song is really good! Greetings from Austria🇦🇹 And here is a short sentence for everyone, that's what we say in Austria when something is good: Des is richtig guat. Gfoit ma👍
This song is like if Falco and Britney Spears just made a love child and I love it to bits. Austria last year then this year just feels like they throw bangers for fun
Your reactions are always great to watch! This Austriaentrence is so intelligent! Great in every way. It will go straight up on my top-6 with Croatia, Czech r, Spain, Ukraina and Norway. I will vote for them all (since swedish I can't vote for the Queen of Diviness).
I too hope, that we (Austria) make it finally to the final again! I just hope and wish, that they (ORF) don't make again such a bad staging performance, as last year. For me Austria should be at least Top 7, if not better :)
Fun fact,Selyna is Serbain and last year's France rappresentative Paty is also Serbian, so 2 years in a row we have to singers Serbian for different countries 😎
Finally someone who understands what this song is about. I've been hooked on it since the semi-finals but in every other reaction video I've seen so far, people get to the end of the song and still ask "so Edgar is the type writer?". 🤦 Basic education and media literacy shouldn't be that uncommon.
I hope it is not a disaster live like last year with Pia Maria.+I think the power of Cha Cha Cha will win the televote though Käärijä has now more competition. I love this "Edgar" song but I prefer the energy of Cha Cha Cha
There is a accapella version of it and that sounds pretty good. I don't know about Salena, but Teya already has experience through Beovizija singing live, while Pia Maria hasn't had any experience last year.
This for me is the dark horse at this years Eurovision . All the noise is about Sweden ( one trick pony Loreen ) but for me this is a banger and gets my 12 points 👌
Semi final one is definitely the bloodbath semi, and what a bloodbath 😱. Basically everything is a favourite, aint nothing getting out of there that isn't good 🤭. Semi final two, anything remotely catchy will do well.
Why haven't you guys reacted to festival da Canção (Portugal)? We are waiting for the reaction! 🥲😭 We haven't seen anything about portugal this year, neither the participants or the semifinals ou the fibalists! 👀
Minor note but.. "a year of beige and bland songs"? With entries like Finland, Serbia, Czechia and even Croatia in the mix? I continue to be flabbergasted by some of the fan reactions to this year when I think it's shaping up to be one of the most diverse and fun ever
The live performance of this song may prove challenging, particularly if choreography is involved, as it heavily relies on auto-tune. Furthermore, I would like to express that a song's ability to captivate an audience is crucial in determining its success. It is my belief that a song must have the capacity to grow on the listener in order to truly appreciate its artistic merit. Regrettably, this particular piece seems to lack that quality. It is important to consider that the majority of viewers will be hearing the song for the first time, without any prior knowledge of its composition or theme. As such, it is essential to capture the listener's attention within the first few moments of the song, as this will greatly influence their overall impression of the performance. In essence, a song must be able to resonate with its audience within a limited timeframe of three minutes, or risk falling short of their expectations.
I disagree with you. I believe that you are in this case biased due to being on the panel. First: This is not the most memorable song of ESC. It's either Finland or Croatia. Second: Yes the songs has layers, but so do 50% of ESC songs. The song is great and all but it's no Konstrakta 2.0. It's a quirky song with a nice beat and some meaningful text, yet even the performers cant take the lyrics seriously and start laughing when singing live (see todays ORF live acoustic version) It's no personal critic to you, I love your videos. I just think that you are heavily biased. But at least you were fair and pointed it out in the beginning of the video!
Preach brother (or sister)! This is a very basic, simple song. Nothing impressive or catchy. Not great, but not bad. But everything will be decided by the choreo that will have.
I love this so much, it's fantastic. Teya and Salena will be getting much more than just 0.003 from this song.
YES! They deserve to be RICH!
@@Wiwibloggs 🤣🤣🤣🤣if this is a good song ,sorry .....
This song is soo creative, mysterious, funny, quirky and excellent at the same time! Austria is sooo good!!! 😃🤩

Teya was competing in Beovizija/PZE (Serbian national selection) in 2019. I'm so happy that she is finally going to sing on Eurovision stage

2020. exactly
I loved both of them when they competed at an austrian singing competition a few years ago. So happy with this song. I can't wait to see them perform it 😁
It's in my top 10. Honestly it has winner vibes but the staging must be really good.
Please send help. This song has taken over my life!! I can’t take it off repeat. 🇦🇹 No. 1

Its such a throwback to songs from the mid 2000s to mid 2010s
I love it! The rythm makes me dance 🕺🏼 and Congratulations for the lyrics!! Hugs !!

Konstrakta influenst this years Eurovision so much. Would never expect so much ESC songs to have deep messages like this year
This song is as addicting as Netta's "Toy"! I love this! Greetings from Poland!
This is a bop!!! Dahm good!!!
This actually stands out. My favorite beside Finland.
I thought It was bad with the leak but its top 5 Its funny and a BOP Austria great choice
12 points ! 🇦🇹
love this is and bop sure in my top 10 list
for now maybe last countrys will chain it
Hopefully it will do well.
Netta can reach jury's top 3 with that chicken noise. The key is the message👌
This is a fair point. Crazy can work!
@@Wiwibloggs why don't you make a reaction with the Lithuanian representative?
But I don't think the most people will understand the message

Teya was competing for Serbian national selection in 2020 as Thea Devy with a song Sudnji Dan.
That is crazy considering how different these two songs sound.
It's a strong and clearly inspired entry!
its in the semi that i can vote on and i feel like i probably will vote for it.

I'm curious, what were the other songs like in the 'selection'?
There were three that really stood out to me. This, a ballad from Teya, and then a dance number with AMAZING choreography

Allot is going on in this song, but i do like it :D very experimental and funny. Idk what to expect from the staging though.
Quirky and fun.......but not fussed if I never hear it again. 🤷♂
please william talks about like lots of fans have not ticket, how is this possible at the least prewiews?
