- Who will qualify from Semi-Final 2 of Eurovision 2023? We predict the Top 10 who will advance out the sixteen acts that will compete at the second Semi-Final on May 11th.
The Semi-Final 2 countries are: Denmark, Armenia, Romania, Estonia, Belgium, Cyprus, Iceland, Greece, Poland, Slovenia, Georgia, San Marino, Austria, Albania, Lithuania and Australia.

The fact that Deban does not think that Austria will go through even though they are a 48% favorite in the betting odds to win the semi final just left me speechless.

Well,Deban also pointed out once that Måneskin would get the worst result for Italy.Austria will be fine,they will qualify for sure,I'm not sure how they will do in the final though but I wouldn't be worried about their qualification.

I'm going to be honest, the magic of the song is in its subtext and the excitement and joy of the video. Of course it's going to qualify but I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't do that well in the Final.... this entry has everything to do with the staging.

As a Danish Eurovision aficionado I just want to say that your observation about Denmark voting for Greece simply because of a Danish father is spot on. My friends and I always make fun of the Danish commentator when he tries to find more and more outlandish connections to Denmark to make us interested... "So this year's artist from Bulgaria once went to the same gym as someone who had a layover in Copenhagen on a flight to London." 😅😅😅
Lithuania never votes for Poland because we have borders. It only happens when the song is good which is not the case this year. However we usually generously support Latvia, Ukraine and Georgia regardless of the song quality. Get your facts right 😁
I mean, we support each other against Russia *hard* nowadays, but some Western commenters have no idea that the Commonwealth era is still controversial in Lithuania and your image of Poles is not 100% great, best friends forever, just fantastic.

I wrote this comment based on the observations of how rarely we vote for each other’s countries. The reason Lithuania might have warmer relationship with countries like Latvia and Georgia is likely due to the support we gave each other breaking away from USSR which luckily your country was not part of. On a lighter note, Blanka was a pleasant surprise on today’s rehearseals. The girl improved a lot since your National Final performance in her stage presence and also vocals. She might be a dark horse and go far. 🔥

Now we're getting the stagings this might be slightly easier to predict.
Austria, Armenia, Australia, Georgia, Lithuania, and Slovenia are definitely going through.
Then the other 4 I'd put through Cyprus, Albania, Estonia, and Iceland.
(Also I've said it before and will say it again: we might've accidentally meme-d solo into the final)
Just because something is getting attention because people are making fun of it doesn't mean that attention is going to help it. People may watch it just so that they can see if flop.

I'm glad they have warmed up a little to Australia, but I am blown away that Austria isn't one of their "locks". I also think Cyprus will qualify.

Semi final 1 may be the more stacked semi but i swear semi 2 is harder to predict. Its full of averrage songs which could all be borderline making it really wild to predict.
Armenia’s song is very touchy , heart warming, emotional, she has amazing voice , with amazing song !! Breathtaking!!! Masterpiece!!

It can be hard to find 10 songs I'd want to go through here, so I do feel for you ;D Though after some thought, I'd say, in order of probability, Austria, Australia, Armenia, Georgia, Albania, Slovenia, Estonia, Cyprus, Belgium and Poland (hesitantly though).
Denmark is way more memorable and easier to sing along with compared to so many of your locks…

I love Echo and Iru's voice is amazing but Georgian language would've elevated the song so much. I will never understand why they decided to have it in English. In Georgian, it would've been so much more original, interesting and even mysterious, now you just can't help thinking: wtf are these lyrics, they pretty much make no sense...

This video appears to be chaotic, but it is richly layered with meaningful subtext. For example, when William appears to be possessed by the ghost of Tennessee Williams at the 23 minute mark. he is in fact predicting the success of Austria. (Scholars will note that Poe and Williams were both masters of American Gothic).

Diaspora really skews the results and unfortunately weighs more than quality or personal taste when it comes to borderline qualifications. But even we know that Austria doesn't benefit from that at all, I can't imagine them not qualifying this year.
