RIP Charlie Watts!!!! Greatest most under appreciated drummer of all time!!!!! Thank you Justin!!!! You are The greatest guitarist to grace this earth!!!!! 🤘🤘🍻🖤
Goosebumps.. now that’s how u add something extra to an already amazing song.. timeless .. Charlie would be proud of that .. respect and love from the UK 🇬🇧
You absolutely beautifully piece of work DrJohnson thanking you very kindly for such a beautiful tribute piece. The man is smiling sat down behind his silent kit. R.I.P 😪😘👍🏼
it's funny, because if there's one thing everybody knows about this song, it's the lyrics. How if you get the right singer to bring enough passion, it becomes something different, something elevated. and then this guy comes along and sings it louder and more passionately than most other people I've heard with his mouth shut the whole time...
Absolutely one of my favorite Stones songs. Justin, you have proven yourself as the best guitarist again. Thank you for giving this song the justice it deserves.
Another great rendition of a great Stones tune. I always like how you do the vocals with the guitar. I think Charlie and the Guys would approve. I bet Keith would really dig it. Charlie Watts will never be forgotten. He is now with the Big Band in Rockin Roll Heaven.
@@SkunkPunch73 My reply had absolutely nothing to do with Charlie Watts or his recent passing. It was merely a compliment to this artist about how beautiful I found his arrangement of a song that didn't appeal to me.
@@SkunkPunch73 whys that matter? don't mean they should like a band just bc someone died or just bc u like them. Respect comes in many forms not just admiration.
Met JJ years ago at gear fest in Fort Wayne. I used to make guitar picks out of exotic wood scraps. Saw JJ randomly and gave him one and he traded his of one of mine. When I say cool guy I meant it, amazing musician. This one means a lot to me after a death in the family. Thank you
I must admit, through the years, I never paid much attention to Charlie. In a band full of outrageousness, he sat quietly behind his minimalist kit, laying down the foundation of the Stones' great songs. The drum intro to Honkey Tonk Women has to be one of the most recognizable drum solo's around, and like Charlie, it was minimalist, yet profound. Like many people, the past few days have seen me listening to Rolling Stones music and concentrating on this quiet man's contribution. RIP Charlie.
I think I should give up trying to play guitar and just sit here, watch and listen to you all day instead. You are wonderfully talented, but I'm sure you've put the hard yards in, and I wish you every success! Charlie was such a humble man, but I'm sure he'd be giving you a nice smile...
it's my favorite song as a kid ever since i saw the jimmy shelter movie but i've never heard it played so well Justin you're wonderful, gracias, Santander Spain.
Rest in peace, Mr. Charlie Watts! 💔 One by one, the heroes of the Golden Generation of rock are now departing from the scene, leaving us behind in sadness. 😢
The Stones averaged about 35 concerts a year for almost 60 years ('62 to '21). Charlie deserves a rest. Great tribute Justin. You really made that guitar sing.
Simply amazing! Like someone before me, I was never a big Stones fan, but there was something Abita this song that pulled at my soul even though it was The Stones. I immediately feel in love with their release about half way though the first verse. Yours is equally gripping, and that's a trait of masterful blues. If that song was a baseball, it's around Saturn and picking up speed...it's this world. I felt sorrow, happiness with tears, calm, serenity, longing, a little bit of everything, abd I loved your journey. Mad props!!! Charlie...RIP. You are a bright shining star amid the heavens.
