- At 14 years of age, when Tiffany was first presented with the song "I Think We're Alone Now", she wasn't keen on it. All it took was playing it for a few friends and a certain feeling was in the air. It was because of that "feeling" that the song came to be. Watch as Tiffany explains...

Tiffany is a real talented woman. Her voice when she was a kid to today is incredible. She's got one hell of a great voice.
Tiffany recorded a song called "All This Time". As a man in my late 40s I'm comfortable saying it's one of my all time favorites.
Hey - that's cool - if you're in your late 40s then that means you were in your teens during her heyday!
Me too🙌
yeah I think that was my favorite by her
I still have that cassette
all an all I've no regrets.. .
She sounds like she is pretty laid back and cool.
Love, love, love Behind the Vinyl! More please!
OMG she is still GORGEOUS
What a cool story... Wow, I love that. I was 14 back in '87 and had the biggest crush on Tiffany, loved the song, still do to this day! I can listen to that song and it will take me back to the first day I heard it...great memories. We all still love you Tiffany! :D #Iovetacostoo! :D
Love you Tiffany, the entire album that this song comes from is fantastic, every song is great. I love when that happens, because then you really do love the album. Thank you Tiffany for recording the song and album
Lovely to see Tiffany again and hear her tell the story first hand .
I adore Tiffany, she has a great voice and she can sing any kind of music, country, dance, rock. Tiffany is deserved to be on billboard chart again ! She is smart to also write her own songs now ,Thank you Tiffany that she still doing great music.Love her new album, "Pieces of me"
I remember this song playing EVERYWHERE. It is a solid part of my 80's memories.
Nice to see you again as sometimes you wonder “ what ever happened to...”
You look happy and I hope life has been good to you!
Let’s go to the Mall! 🎶🎤❤️
Her album "COLOR OF SILENCE" is really good, loved it!
God this girl was huge in the 80s
Yes, she has gained some weight. ;)
@@ReinielQuional Did I say there was a problem? Just stating a fact.
Actually this song is quite good. I was a teenager when this came out so it was on the radio all the time. I miss the 80s
@ UK Medic ~ You and me both.
You & I both. 👍
I would be there in a heartbeat
@Aaron - Sweet. 👍
@Aaron Great parents! 💚💜
I just got to see Tiffany again (4th time) last Sunday, Great show.
Thank you Tiffany for some of the best songs and best vocals I have ever heard 35+ years later. A true singing talent that was never given the credit she deserved. So many "B" sides and bonus tracks that were even better than her singles.
Seen Tiffany in concert a week ago and she totally rocks with a live band. Very Stevie Nicks. So sweet and down to earth too
I'm partial to the original so never got into her remake. But as Tiffany learned, sometimes you do what the public wants to get the initial exposure and then the real vocal talent can be presented. As in her amazing vocal performances in "Could've Been", "All This Time" and "Feelings Of Forever". She's very articulate and I have a great amount of respect for her.
This woman still has an amazing voice.
I’m 24 & I love that song.
It went to #1 on Billboard in November 1987, she had just turned 16 by that point. The whole album is amazing and it's hard to believe she was only 14 when she recorded it.
My god, your artistry in being yourself sold you. So my crush and inspiration to find at least one quality in a girl like yours at our age. Your beautiful now; mucho! Wish I could share a glass of wine with you .
Oh my....... loved her..... still do.....
I actually heard a cover version of this song at the grocery story today!😂 What an iconic tune from the era.🥰
You're my idol eversince I here your voice... Keep it up girl...
Happy memories... Just 18, stopping at the pub on the way home from work with my mates... Tiffany on the juke box, Castlemaine XXXX lager, Embassy Number one and home to meet my girlfriend from her shift at the chip shop... Absolute simple heaven!
I was about 9...amd puppy love for her . like a sweet kid..nothing pervy. saw her live 2 weeks ago, After...all this time. Fantastic live performer. Strong wonderful voice.. rang in my ears..still. truly a great show.
Tiffany made it so cool to go and hang out at the mall.
Great song!!! Have this on vinyl LP!!!!!
Always respected Tiffany's energy and genuine talent. She made a a nice splash of fame for herself, and had enough sense to escape the vortex of scancal that seems to swallow most child-stars. Still lookin' good all grown up!
Greetings From Super Extremes- Sri Lanka
💚 💛 ❤ 💙 💜
Thusitha Thanthirige
Definitely has good vibes!!
Her version of U2's New Year's Day is fantastic.
IT'S WONDERFUL!
Really? ill check it out
She wrote this age 14, amazing.
She signed her 45 for me 31 years ago at an in store appearance
It was the 80's man
I was 9 or 10 at that time and I had a crush on her when that came out
Tiffany was awesome back in the day. Her vioce was second to none.
Great story! Love you Tiff ❤️😘
Should've been me was another awesome song!!
You look awesome... thanks...
Great video !!!!!!!!!!!!
A memory: My brother came back from Florida with a Dark Autumn Red '78 Cordoba w/Keystone mags... and I fell in love with it, at first sight.
One evening, he tosses me the keys to go roll-up the windows. "Start the engine first..." he said, "so there's enough juice". Well, she fired-up easily... and the moment she it, this song came over the radio!😲
I've had a certain kinship--a "Christine" complex, if you will--with red Chryslers ever since.😎
Wow first time I've seen her since 88
Could've Been was favorite one. She lives down the road from Me as well. Nice Lady.
Tiffany do more of these please
Unfortunately we only shot the ONE Behind the Vinyl episode with Tiffany. However, we have an episode (coming soon) of "The First Time: Tiffany".
14......she was 14 when she recorded the song. Damn.
why are people putting this lady down do u think ur better than anyone else don't think so being judgemental when u don't know the person
I think its a great song, it defines the 80s teen pop
I like that song really reminds me
takes me back to when i was 9 in 1987. i love tiffany 1st three albums. wow 14 when she cut it. nice. i really enjoyed this latest video. still remember the mall video to this song. tiffany looks fantastic at her age. and still making cds.
mike
from canada eh
The song "I think we're alone now" was filmed at the Ogden mall in Utah, Which I don't believe is still standing today.
It was only partly filmed there, she filmed it in multiple malls, including the Bullring in England, though you only see that segment of the video for a flash. And I did look it up some time ago just out of curiosity and yes I do believe Ogden City is now demolished :/
I bought her cassette when it came out. I thought it had a lot of great songs on it. I'm surprised her songs didn't get more popular than they did
whewwww I had to look up when she released that song, I'm glad I was 14 as well, now I don't feel like a perv for being into Tiffany back in the day.
I think she was 16 or 17 when we first heard of her in Britain. I was 18 , loved her , hated the music but can't deny she had a cracking voice & has matured beautifully 😊
Tiffany remains gorgeous and a brilliant vocalist. I think the second album deserved so much better. In the U.K. this record was so massive and she sung live on TOTP, nobody did that back then. Legend!!!
I remember that! I wish we could time travell back to the 80s.
dam can i have whatever you are smoking if you think Tiffany is still gorgeous
@@dpurplefox LMAO...you literally read my mind.
"Could've Been" is my favorite Tiffany song by far.
Still the best!!
I'm 15 again.
Thank you You Tube time machine .
Way to go Tiffany. 👍
still remember it...to me? at 68 y. o / I don't even think that she will forget everything (the makin of) LOL
Tiffany looks well and she has kept her beautiful, long, red hair. I admire her and Carol Decker in the 80's, as they made red hair super sexy on girls/women.
She still looks amazing.
Remember Lulu did Shout at age 14 as well
Takes me back to my teenage pursuit of girls at the mall and weekends at the dry bar.
What the heck is a dry bar?
@@hotwheels1838 A bar without alcohol, popular for kids as they are under the age to buy alcohol.
Where'd you get the money, and why did your parents let you do that?
@@chocomanger6873 My parents. They did not mind me being a kid and having fun (more about dancing than drinking soda). Plus .. burning calories at that age is not such a bad concept considering kids do not get out much anymore.
@@Elfdogable None of that for me. Straight home after school to do chores.
well said, it has a fun vibe and a good nature about it so I think that's why it gets a happy pass as a pop hit. Even the circumstances of it are a bit off, but off-in-a-good way is one of the most endearing. In the end, you remade a forgettable song into infectious joy.
She's saying the same thing Christina Aguilera said about Genie in a bottle: ooh, I was afraid they'd think I couldn't sing. What's that all about? Vocal talent doesnt have anything to do with how many lines of lyrics you can squeeze into a song. Or how many notes you can hit. Sometimes quite the opposite.
Cool story
Radio Romance!!!!
I think I'm a clone now.
I don't care... I still got a crush on Tiffany. I'm 39 and still have a crush on a teen idol.😎🍻
Ouch...
Stiffler's Mom was a rock star at 14... I'm really surprised.😋
The wall is undefeated 😂
Didn't realize until a few years back she's of Syrian descent like Steve Jobs.
steve jobs was easy to see, though I he was east european. Albanian maybe. Or armenian. He looked like steven seagal from the md 80s, especally during the early mac days in the 70s.
FOURTEEN? She was FOURTEEN?!! Hold on, hold on... I need not get my bearings.... FOURTEEN??!!!
This song makes me want to steal Teddy Bears
I always love to hear Behind the Music features, and I don't even mind checking out the background of this song.... but do we HAVE to have that awful awful song playing in the background through the whole thing?
At least Giovanni Ribisi has given us something dark and funny to think about while listening to it...
I appreciate that she hated this song as much as I do.
I'm sure she didnt hate the monthly checks.
I bet. Too bad that we were the ones left to suffer.
So the story is...any kid with a half-assed voice can have a popular song if everything is done for them...What a revelation!
Lets get it on!
Woof.
Do like her stuff with Robin Sparkles
Still Hot
Cape fear
Time of video 4:20✌️🌞
Still gorgeous!!!
Shirt for 14 years old recording to when she got older posing in Playboy magazine
Say what????? lol
i stopped liking her covers when i heard the rest of the first album, i was in 6th grade and got it as a gift from a secret santa thing at school... she was too good for that, cutesy pop garbage, she was born a star... they didn't need a song that someone had already hit with to get there, Spanish Eyes was incredible and shoulda' been her breakout single,
her newer stuff is great, she's a real rocker, got that very American sound, great guitars, she's the real f'in' deal, guys... sucks that this was how they made her famous, sucks that a lot of people stopped listening decades ago, Rose Tattoo, A Million Miles, and Pieces of Me are all solid rock and roll albums, if you haven't listened to any of it, you really should, you should see the REAL Tiffany doing her thing, she's a badass...
Nice too hear she always was the real deal. I thught she was made up by some 80s producers and thrown away after the money dried up. Now I wnder what happened with debbie gibson.
Methany
Hee Haw!
She's 48. She can't look like that without chemicals.
She had a drinking problem over the years.
I'm 48 and i don't look that good
Well spoken. A little repetitive, but interesting to hear it from the source.
It makes me sad when I see my peers look way older than me. She's one year younger than me, but looks ten years older.
I saw the thumbnail and thought it was a new Pete Burns upload :-\
I was looking for this kind of comment 😅
Ahh still a great playboy centerfold
Don't she get sick of the song? It's also a cover.
She has a fantastic voice though.
She hasn’t aged well
I think the word is "gracefully." Too much plastic surgery. Sad. As a child of the 80's I loved her, but as a first-time grandfather as of this morning, I have to shake my head a bit. (I'm only a few years younger than her). I do wish her well, though.
Recording at 14? What connections did she have.
Farkkk she’s old now...
The original Tommy James & the Shondells version is best.
Lovely lady and after a couple of beers I definitely would...
