I met Elvemage at pest control while he was training and I told him I could TB for him if he wanted to stay on ancients and he agreed. This was before he was insanely famous. I actually introduced Noob Rider to Elvemage. Noob Rider and I used to be in a rag-tag clan together. Bloodhoun34 saw me and Noob Rider walking around Edgeville and recognized us from the Elvemage vids and wanted to PK with us. I added him and introduced them. I wasn't involved in any of the luring, but another one of my friends named Jokoboho eventually found out how to skull trick and we did it a couple of times. You can see people like Joko and Whitenite33 (my brother) and a bunch of other people log in during some of the PK vids. All these guys were on UK time, and I was on the west coast of NA so I didn't get to play with them as much and time went on.
There was a guy whose YT channel I came across years ago. Name was something was like "KingMX7969" or something. His motto was literally "lets go make some little kids cry."

scammers don't necessarily hide that they're scammers -- one of the best scams is to make the victim think they're going to be able to get one over on the scammer
That RSC active members page at :38 was an incredible blast from the past. There's a friend in there I've fallen out of touch with but met playing this game and using those forums 20 years ago. They were among a group of us who traveled a long way and got together a few years after that. Many thanks for that opportunity to remember the wholesome ways this game brings people together.

Then, as if right on cue, someone asked in the homework section of RuneVillage forum how to solve a differentiation question. I was like, "I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS!!" and helped him out Fifteen or so years later, and the guy I helped with his calculus homework still chat online with me everyday hahaha (does help that we are both otakus too I guess)
He wasn't even original, he was just the first to put his content out to the masses on youtube unlike the rest of us who stuck to uploading and posting on RSC. Most of the lure techniques he got from Bmedievilb who was great at coming up with ideas, but never recorded or shared them publicly. The one and only time I encountered Elvemage he TB'd and entangled me at West green dragons. I saw his name and my little noob heart filled with terror as I realised I was about to lose my rune armour. After a few mage/range hits I was unfrozen and could fight back with my d scim, he splashed his next entangle and immediately teleported. Biggest anti-climax ever, could never take him seriously after that.
Back in 2008 or 2009 someone tried to lure me similar to this. I had to attack a summoning familiar and say "slay the winged beast" for a RUclips video but I attacked, skulled and tele'd immediately.

I'm 34 now with cancer just like my wife who is 28 with bone cancer and I wish I could just go back to them happy days. The IRC and yahoo chats were fun when we all Pked. I got lured for the first time in 2004 and ever since then I started Pking thats how I met so many people.

The one and only time I encountered Elvemage he TB'd and entangled me at West green dragons. I saw his name and my little noob heart filled with terror as I realised I was about to lose my rune armour. After a few mage/range hits I was unfrozen and could fight back with my d scim, he splashed his next entangle and immediately teleported. Biggest anti-climax ever, could never take him seriously after that.

I miss the old days. I pked with him and Kids Ranqe and even used their rune pure and tank accounts back in the day. I'm 34 now with cancer just like my wife who is 28 with bone cancer and I wish I could just go back to them happy days. The IRC and yahoo chats were fun when we all Pked. I got lured for the first time in 2004 and ever since then I started Pking thats how I met so many people.
