Hi Mark, Randy Holden from Mopar Collector's Guide Magazine here - afraid that is NOT the interstate jump car from the 2005 movie. As you know, we worked alongside the second unit during filming and helped them find most of the Chargers used in the movie. The interstate jump was done by Charger #15, which was jumped three times during the film, once for the interstate jump and twice back at the lot, the last time it rolled and ended up on its roof. Travis Foster bought that car and I bought #11, which was the bridge jump car at the beginning of the movie - both were gutted shells with no motors or transmissions and were catapulted in these jumps with compressed air. What you have there is car #16, which was a backup stunt driving car through most of the movie, then it was converted into a sling jump car at the end of filming when the only driven jump with car #51 didn't go very well. This was the jump next to the courthouse in Jackson, Louisiana. #16 was stripped of its engine and transmission and quickly converted into a catapult jump car, and that's the car you see in the movie jumping next to the court house, and that's the car you have there. We did a full breakdown on each of the Chargers in our August, 2005 issue. I took the photo you show at the 19:50 mark that I passed along to Justin Cornette - that is car #15 after the highway jump. I still have the valence panel off this car, which was signed by everyone on the F/X crew before they left. #16, your car, didn't have an engine or transmission in it when it left BR after filming. I do have plenty of photos of it during filming when it was being driven, on jump day, and after the jump - that is definitely the courthouse jump car, which went about 120'. #15, which did the interstate jump, does hold the distinction of being the only General Lee that did three major jumps, each one being over 100'. Travis sold the car years ago, at one time, Volo Auto Museum owned my bridge-jump "Pre-Cooter" General Lee #11, and the interstate car, #15, not sure where they're at now. Just wanted to set the record straight, not trying to cause trouble - keep up the good work!
It's definitely #15
Maybe watch the movies end credits/bloopers first before saying that and you'll see that the freeway jump was done twice. And BTW, all car jumps were done with a slingshot (no driver was involved in any of the big jumps, yes I have my sources and video evidence too!!!)
I remember seeing an 18 wheeler loaded with wrecked General Lee’s in Baton Rouge on my way home from work. All I could think was, man I would love to have one of those wrecked General Lee’s.
Actually the RECORD holder for General Lee jump is Raymond Kahn of Northeast Ohio Dukes/ Stunt Life, also record only counts if there is a driver.
WTF...Springfield, Oregon?!? Same state and only about 48 miles away!!! Took my kids to a car show at Riverfront Park in Salem around 2009 and my kids and we were able to see an original General Lee. Absolute best car there. Got a few memorable photos. Few years ago, I saw a GL in Portland...couldn't stare at it long enough as it drove down the road. Couldn't stop smiling, either!
Any car smashed , leave alone ....it is a one of a kind mark in history.
Don't need any more "trailer queens"
love your channel.
I'm a black man and I use to love the dukes of Hazzard. We all had a toy General Lee and my parents bought me a confederste belt buckle. I use to love to wear it with my jeans everyday. I never saw what the fuss is all about.
ONE OF MY FAVORITE SHOWS WHEN I WAS A KID THE ORIGINAL DUKES OF HAZZARD ✌️
Do you listen to the Kibbie and Friends podcast? Great walk down memory lane.
@@brendannunya77 THANK YOU ✌️
Me to loved that show ...And they pull it off the air.. look at the shows now with all this woke bc
Wow…amazing craftsmanship…you guys are awsome. The original graphine CB antenna is probably not available anymore but the replacement looks good
I remember in the early 80's driving on Potrero Road near Hidden Valley (South of Thousand Oaks, CA) and seeing a gutted DOH Charger carcass just sitting at the side of the road. I wonder what that would be worth today???
according to Mopar Action magazine, the first General Lee in the premier show was corvette orange over a gold base, but that was changed since it was more work to prep the following cars.
Allysa is your all time best build 🔥🔥
Well before you get back is moonshine, I’ve been watching Dukes of Hazzard ever since I was a little kid I used to have a car are used to have a town and I’m Black people couldn’t understand it but I love the Dukes of Hazzard the original one I don’t care for the new one like that
Great job you guys ROCK!! To bring back that very special movie car for a person that wanted that GENERAL LEE .GREAT JOB!! GOD BLESS
I remember those cars I grew up in the seventies and eighties and they were everywhere back then coronets Dodge Darts n gtx's... all part of the lead 🛷 car type..😅😅
The TV cars were many colors of Orange.(Hemi/Hugger/Flame red etc.) Whatever color Orange they had in the paint shop is the color that was used.Sometimes colors were mixed together as to what amount of paint was on the shelf. This info was from a former WB trans dept. painter who painted many G.Lee TV cars...
The actual color of the General Lee 1 was TNT Express. If you go to a Dukesfest you'll see Hemi Orange, Big Bad Orange, Corvette Flame Red and all kinds of shades of Orange that are technically incorrect but it's still just an Orange.
Attended Dukesfest 2008 in Atlanta. Met a G L owner that had used Kabota tractor orange to paint his. Look pretty good too.
When I watch this movie I get the same huge smile on my face while I drive my challenger just a beautiful amazing master piece ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ I’d love a general lee that is mean ❤
That was a nice style of car. It was popular in my books! Even today
1st comment. Time to see if you can bring HOLLY back since Darien is gone, I think she would make a asset to the team to take some work off the research and developement part of the shop.
So glad it was painted Orange 🍊 beautiful
I feel like the 2005 movie had a B&M ratchet shifter in it. Otherwise it looks spot on.
That's about all that's original is the roof lol 😂
I've always loved that TV series, how could I not watch this video and not subscribe to the channel? 🙂
We don't want to know you, where you came from or your silly jokes! We want to see the car restoration! And the final product! Which is the car! The CAR!
Yeah I got a question. Can I have that general Lee cuz I don't care if it's a movie general Lee on the TV show version. General Lee, I have been looking for one for a long time. That is my dream car
That just makes my day
The movie sucked the series was the my favourite car show of all time every episode was a new lesson learnt from uncle Jesse
I agree! 100%
I never knew the General Lee had a woodgrain steering wheel, Please change it.
Loved that show until the crybabies got to crying ! Daisy helped many young boys threw puberty ! 😂👍🏻
Wow mark beautiful work 😍
They should restore all the 69 Dukes of Hazard Chargers that was used during The Movie 🎥 & T.V Show 👍🏾
I know one charger that was wrapped around a utility pole that was restored with two foot removed from the center! My cousin wrapped it around a pole while racing(?) it. Now it is a chargeless!
At the end of the "Dukes" movie that Jessica Simpson appeared in they showed out takes and it looked like
they wrecked at least 6 cars trying to film the freeway jump.
Glad 2 see them car banits got cuffed and stuffed . Bad Ass video vicious job on the GENERAL LEE. 01. DE3
Hazzard la mia serie preferita .💥👍
The canyon jump in opening credits of tv show is the longest jump
All the chargers I see you have I’d really like to know just by chance if my old charger is in your yard been looking for 20 years for it is there a way to email you
One thing I've never seen is a 68 Plymouth Fury 3 two-door hardtop anybody show
I have seen several fake General Lee's they all claim to be the original . 😊
Superbe travail bravo
bonjour+1like
Que sonho de consumo
Que carro maravilhoso
E o filme entao?
Assisti muitas vezes
I’m sorry but a General Lee catapulted not under its own power with no driver doesn’t count for the longest jump a General Lee has ever made it’s sad when a production company can’t afford to put a stunt man in a powered car for a monster jump they did the same in Gone in 60 seconds with Nicolas Cage🤨
I could never watch that show after learning how many Chargers they destroyed 😢😢😢
I have an original dukes of Hazzard script. It’s the first draft of season 3 episode 5 and I have original phones of the nurse in this episode. It is not a reprint, it’s original. I posted it on eBay and there is a link in the description if anyone is interested
Bucket list car... someday.
I thought the color was competition orange from the middle 70s corvette?
👌congratulations
It wasnt a jump. The car was put in a Catapult device and launched.
I wonder why the passenger side rear view door mirror is missing?
Hard to believe these cars were worth nothing in the early 1980's...Now people will spend 6 figures to get them back on the road.....
Great chassis for a new awd hellaphant and a manual
I LOVE THE GUY BUT DAMN
damn i thought this was going to be new content , nope its still very old stuff
I was having a bad day and you guys made me laugh my butt off,Thanks guys loved your videos and the new stooges 😂😂😂 lol
General Lee didn't have Functional doors! lol
MAN EVER SINCE I WAS A KID I LOVE THIS CAR I WOULD WATCH THE DUKE'S FOR THIS CAR OH THE SHOW WAS COOL THE A- TEAM VAN IS BAD AND THE STARAKY & HUTCH CAR THE GRAND TORINO... NICE VEHICLES....👍👍👍👍👍👍💣💣💣💣💣💣💥💥💥💥💥💥💥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🇲🇽🇲🇽🇲🇽🇲🇽🇲🇽🇲🇽🇲🇽.....

De si belles voitures
Give me the forklift and I ‘ll bring that car back, no chains or cables needed.
As long as YOUR using the ORIGINAL COLOUR….TnT EXPRESS…your welcome 😂
when those three drove off in the general lee . he was supposed to throw his hat on the ground
why not paint it daytona yellow and spray it over a red primer ?? and why not mention tuscarosa red ??🤗👍
Show the roof
My dream car
Had potential until dad turned into a doosh. Shoulda played that part differently I think.
Oh I do remember
Duke of Hazzard
dont be so woke show the flag!!!!!!!
The original color of the car is just a regular orange
Fast forward to 42:29 and pause it. Your welcome.
Dukes Rock ,TV show not movie
You know, I only made it bout five mins into this video and stopped. I’m sorry but I thought this was a car restoration video and not about the guys acting dumb. It feels like they’re trying to make a comedy. For me and other serious restoration guys, I think we’ll jus stick to other content. Later
There’s very few episodes that aren’t drama filled or the owner interrupting the techs while doing they’re jobs, it’s a wonder they get anything completed mark is a walking parts numbers file cabinet but an when they do actual work they do awesome work but I wanna see one of they’re completed projects up close an judge for myself. Happy Easter Yall
You should have not judged the book by its cover and gave this video a chance. Mark and the crew always delivers. They did an outstanding job on this restoration. Thanks Graveyard Carz! Keep being the underdogs.
Same here. If I wanted to see drama is watch afternoon soaps.
Agreed , just a self gratifying wank fest
I think they're trying to get a deal with discovery channel
That was not the longest. Jump the generally dead it was on the TV. Where they jumped that creek and the original color to the general a was reddish orange
😍🥰🇦🇷
True
I would have left it the way it was. They ruined the Bonnie and Clyde car of the 80s.
All involved in wrecking those cars should be I prison! For Crimes against humanity! 😢. 😂 it is a shame tho.
Is there any way you can do an edited video without that Tool Darren in it ..He is painful to watch
I know Daren is gone, thank you. I like your channel, but I would get so pissed watching him work his little devious, destructive, childish and mean incidents. He was just a punk.
It wasnt with Jessica Simpson.
The door works 😐
Ya in love $ 300,000 later 😂 lol 😢
About accurate
Well this guy he needs to learn that the car they have is a Ford crown Vic and not a real dodge charger sorry to bust on his eago and if you listen to the making of it you would find out
Why
The general lee
if no ones in the car then to me its not a jump
Know it's not the same car know lol complete different car
Trying to make a restoration into a soap opera. Lame. Just want to see our favorite cars restored. Later. ✌️
Even though it's not a rt
But lucky for me I have one
the movie car is nothing no one was in it like the orignal show
👀 🤔
If I had that general lee car the confederate flag wood be gone and a American flag wood go on top of the car and grant wood be next to General
😂😂😂😂😂
Liek to drive here
this is filled with petty b.s.
Build cars and stop acting like you are not acting that you are acting. You waste so much time on yourself. Less is more
Pfft..... 2005 movie car... who cares for that fake shit.... its not a Dukes of Hazzard car unless it came from the filming of the TV show in the 70's, not that embarrassing pos knockoff movie....
Drama crap
Congrats, that movie was complete GARBAGE!
