Im almost 49 now. I remember watching the pilot episode when I was 7 years old and never missing a show after that. Everyone involved in the show was so nice and a sense of down home purity. Wish I could've met the cast. Here it is 2021 and there still isn't any shows like it.
I totally agree with you. I'm 52 and as you , I saw the pilot episode when I was 8,and after that, I was hooked from being to the end. The 70s early to mid 80s were the best years of my life with the exception of May of 91 when I,got the honor to meet and have dinner with Valerie Bertinelli, Eddie Van Halen and there Son Wolfie .He was only 2 months old and that would not have happened if My Mother (God rest her soul) had not worked and been very close friends with Valarie's Aunt. They worked at the Division of Revenue in Wilmington, Delaware. And everyone one who knows about Valeries history,She from Claymont, Delaware only 20 minutes from were I use to live. I'd post a picture but this page has to do with the Dukes of Hazzard. I actually thought this was a new page on RUclips but as , I was reading some of the posts, I looked at the dates some of these questions and answers were anywhere from a year and a half ago to 8 months old. Wierd that is my phone, Sometimes I don't see any of this stuff until a couple of weeks later to several months down the road?

John, Tom, and the rest of the hazard crew truly good ole boy! They the are the friendliest and happiest bunch I've ever seen. Real down to Earth group of real American.
I discovered the Dukes back in the early 90s as a 5 year old kid. Became obsessed with the show to the point I accidently taped over some home videos with the Dukes! Watched it for probably a good 10 years or so. Fast forward to 2024 I have two boys 1 and 3 years old. I decided to introduce them to the Dukes and oh man it's like being a kid all over again. Did I mention they both love it? There is just nothing like The Dukes of Hazzard. Not to mention my job is going around filming classic cars, having people tell their stories and I'm also restoring a 1972 Nova. Thank you for the greatest gift from American television.
No one thinks the show us actually racist, but the Confederate imagery was a lot less benign after white supremacist activity had a major resurgence as a reaction to Obama’s election.

A decade later I did and soon after the Dukes was on TV. It was awesome having the great Charger! There's no other car like it in the world! And the show is the best also! The show will live on proudly in my home and so will the great cast too!
At 9, 10, 11years old etc... we'd rush home to be there by 8 on Friday nights, especially in summer for the re-runs, cause the long daylight. I've loved Denver Pyle since Andy Griffith.
I loved this show. And the General….wow. When I was in high school, I had curly blonde hair. My friends used to call me Bo. Mostly because my first car was a 1970 Dodge Charger. It was primer gray.
