This Album cemented Drake as THAT GUY in the game. The first one was a bit shaky but this album showed that he was here to stay, and stay at the top at that.
It introduced a lot of people (at least me and my friends at the time) to Kendrick Lamar and The Weeknd and also exposed some kids to the great Andre 3000.
It had one of the most influential songs of the 2010s in Marvin's Room.
And probably the most honest and vulnerable Drake song ever in "Look What You've Done" (there is an argument 'March 14' as well)

The idea that a rapper can sing & be accepted. Thats what this album did. Kanye & Bone Thugs did it to a certain degree, but noone was doing ballads like this

The best part of watching these is witnessing your dad say unexpected things and your reaction to them. Always makes me smile.

This album brings back so many memories from high school. Absolute classic. NWTS is the only Drake album that tops Take Care imo

The name tune was given to Wayne by his grandmother Mercedes Carter when he was young and then he said he added chi at the end because it made it more catchy like Gucci so that’s how tunechi was made

Marvin’s Room is very powerful for me as i was in such a similar position at the time when it came out and drake was saying most of the things i wanted to say but didnt, bc i didnt want to be that guy. For me, its more powerful than funny but I definitely get that reaction just bc of the delivery

this album takes me back to college for sure, also little side note Drake's dad Dennis Graham used to be a drummer in a jazz/funk band forgot which one but he was a jazz musician so he did his fair share of touring in his day.
