You're the only reactor that actually reacts to everything we wanna hear.
Infinito fr
Its because he has just been introduced to the genre in the past couple of years so he can we revisit a lot of the classics that we grew up on. Always dope to see reactions to older albums.
Because other reaction channels had probably already listened to the albums before they started their channel so the reaction wouldn’t be genuine

Agreed

It’s “good ones go” not “good to go”
I realize he put it as good to go, but it’s not lol. Your call if you wanna leave it like that tho
He should’ve done “look what you’ve done” and “hate sleeping alone”
doing gods work
@@deapmadness thanks, i'll change it
Marvins room just hits different when you’re heartbroken.
For real , we still here tho 🤘🏼
110%
That vibes so hard
Thats the lamest drske song alongside childs play...
Hit even more different when he stole it
Marvin's room was really a phenomenon when it came out, there were no mainstream rappers putting that amount of vulnerability out there to see. It's less bold in 2019 but at the time it was really unique
Nah you just have bad memory. Most of Kid Cudi's Man on the Moon series (which came out a year or 2 before TC) is very vulnerable music not to mention kanye had songs like that as well... also, guys like Cole and Kendrick had already started breaking into the mainstream in 2011... not as big as drake obviously but still mainstream and they both had songs that would be classified as "vulnerable" on their projects that had helped them blow up at that time.
JechtBeam runaway
If you think GKMC is what broke Kendrick threw to the mainstream you dont understand what mainstream is. Overly dedicated blew Kendrick up, Sec80 made him mainstream, GKMC put him at the top of the rap game. You dont have to be at the top to be mainstream. There are only like 6 guys at the top of the game (the number varies year to year) but there are a lot of guys who are mainstream. Look at rappers like JID or Denzel Curry. They are mainstream rappers rn but aren't at the top of the game (yet), that's basically where Kendrick was after Sec80.
The Hip-hop Underworld No one was doing it with the level emotion and vulnerability like Drake was. songs like Marvin’s room is why purists call Drake soft.
@@johndamario2546 go listen to Zion by Lauryn Hill, Lost Ones or Lights Please by J. Cole, The Heart pt 2 or Keisha Story by Kendrick, Solo dolo or alone by kid cudi, through the wire by kanye, etc... I believe all of those songs came out before TC and are very vulnerable and emotional songs...

Some LOVE HIM
Others HATE HIM

I love them all i don't care.
DRAKE will Be REMEMBERED FOR ALL TIME.
HE'S THE GOAT, LEGEND, KING...
THERE'S NOTHING ELSE TO SAY.
What can you and/or i say at this point.
There's some things everyone will fuck with and some thing you won't fuck with.
Drake is Drake..
TAKE CARE...
The Weeknd singing in the background in The Ride is one of the best parts of this album
The only good parts are when u hear Abel lmao
Daniel Camacho wrong

@@Sadvillainy i hate him and i dont need friends
Hamze Alameddine yet you’re commenting on a reaction video of a Drake album. Weird way to spend your free time.
The Weeknd wrote Crew Love, Shot For Me and The Ride. They were all supposed to be on House of Balloons but Abel gave them to Drake.
Will Driscoll Abel wrote practice too I believe
The Weeknd didn't write The Ride. It was his track originally, which he gave to Drake. Drake wrote his own verses
Practice and Good Ones Go is also The Weeknd’s songs
The weekend co wrote crew love and shot for me. He didn’t write the ride. Drake wrote his own verses for crew love and shot for me had a rap verse in it aswell. However I believe the weekend did write good ones go.
Jacob Cole no practice is not lmfaoo
Drake travels the line between cocky and sensitive... it’s weird but it’s a vibe
A Scorpio
Now hes just cocky and lame

"Shot for me" was soooo underrated and still is
Yeah and The Weeknd gave it to him
@@haleymcgregor5328 yeah we know enough now
Drake literally said this about people saying Weeknd wrote half of songs... : “Abel CO WROTE on ‘Shot For Me’ and ‘Practice,’ obviously was featured on ‘Crew Love’ and ‘The Ride’ and that’s it…There’s 20 songs on that album
20% of Take Care is Weeknd's
Edison Espinosa that’s cap lmao drake said he co wrote 2 songs and was featured on the other 2..lol
MDG_ 5 THANK YOU
lmao all those songs you mentioned were The Weeknd’s first until drake heard them and asked him for them, and oh man how I would’ve prefer the original crew love without drake
he said abel gave up half HIS album not contributed to half of take care
GOAT album. Can't believe this was your first time listening
No its not... not even top 3 albums of its decade. It is a great album tho, just not GOAT.
Keenan Nash for me it is👍🏼.
@@keenannash2947 yes it Is top 5 of the decade
@@yoitsjonathan6744 1. I never said anything about top 5, I said it's not top 3...
2. You could make an argument that its top 5 but even that's probably too high, it's probably between 6th and 9th in terms of best album this decade.
3. Even if it is top 5 I was responding to it not being the GOAT album... GOAT doesnt mean you are top 5 in a decade, it means the greatest of all time, and the album is not even top 20 all time.
@@keenannash2947 what album defined hip hop/rap more than this album in the past decade
Whole album is timeless, I've listened to this too much and not enough at the same time.
Well, seems like I made a couple of mistakes in the song titles on the video. I'd like to say it won't happen again. but it will 😂
Also in the madness of the edit I have messed up look what you've done and HYFR. If the demand is strong enough I can post a new reaction to the song. Hate messing this stuff up

Dont Fall for the narrative that the weeknd "wrote" The Ride, its obvious that he only Gave the song the background and the instrumental not the verses.
Btw great video!

we need “look what you’ve done”
FREEchilly24 yes. We do.

My all time favorite drake song too

Bruh, I literally watched for that song. I'm upset right now lol.
If you’re reading this it’s too late is easily his most overlooked project. Please react to this!!
@Colby S too bad his ghost writer made that album for him. The Weeknd with Take Care too
Freedom I love when people say that. So The Weeknd wrote all the raps on take care huh. Idc if drake took a couple r and b songs from Abel , but the bars on this album are unmatched
@@abdulclutch4509 The most shocking part was when I learned that Abel wrote Birdman's part too. Joking. lol
this guy is one of the few reactors who can truly appreciate music and hear it how the artists intended. Very refreshing with all these kids screaming about NBA youngboy lol
This album makes me feel so nostalgic. I can remember exactly where I was in my life listening to each song.
I use to play Over My Dead Body on my greyhound bus rides back home from college back in 2011. It’s really gives that melancholy yet chill and confident vibe. Oh the nostalgia
Take care is a classic the first 3 tracks just hit back to back 🔥🔥🔥🔥 plus after listening to the album I can't stop humming the beats and singing the lyrics honestly a classic

Hmmm 😂😂
life's been busy lately so i've been looking for sometime to watch this. jon, you honestly are turning into one of my favorite reaction channels. the way you break down a track, go in depth into the lyrics, put your own take on the music, and just how you actually sit down and feel the tracks out, its all so genuine. your videos are all high quality, i have yet to find a bad video on your channel. keep on doing you jon, 100k is right there and then onto a million.
When rick ross said Yolo that was literally the first time it was said in the mainstream, drake then made the song 'the motto' which made the phrase popular. Rick ross basically invented yolo
I was 15 when take care came out and it influenced my life so much. Dealing with heartbreak at the time and over the years have helped listening to this album. I agree with you if you were 23 it would of hit differently and resonated with you better.
*"Instagram caption rap."* That is the best description I've ever heard of Drake's music. 100% spot on.
Mac Miller-Swimming por favor
Chase Taylor absolutely 🙏🏻
Chase Taylor that album is a 10/10 for me
Best album of 2018
@The Hip-hop Underworld okay, My Dear Melancholy and Astroworld first
YES
Idk if I’m the only one, but Cameras is such a great track and it gets better every listen. I remember when I first heard it I didn’t think much of it and now it’s probably one of my favorite tracks by Drake ever
Drake brought that Toronto vibe to the world and changed the rap game. No one in rap was dropping their beats for the entire verse and only hyping it up for the hooks like that before him and 40 laid the formula. Now almost everyone has songs like that. After Drake rappers are pretty much required to be able to sing a little bit and have bars. That alone makes him a legend.
*Marvins Room is a Timeless Classic*
It's a simp anthem
Underground Kings is a tribute to UGK which was one of his main influences and UGK stands for Underground Kings so that’s why he named it that
You made me appreciate this album so much more. I knew it was great but the way you explained you gave me words I couldn’t put so kudos
LETS GO BRO you’re hitting the essential albums to give you the perfect foundation for critiquing modern hip hop
Love it
It is such a treat to see a genuine first time reaction to old classic music like this. Hearing some of these instantly put flashes of memories in my head that I completely forgot about
I'm from Toronto, and Drake & The Weeknd are my favorite artists, so you can imagine how happy I am whenever you upload a video 😬😬
This album such a classic watching this makes me so happy you’re amazing man
CARE PACKAGE ITS ALL OLD DRAKE SONGS WHERE HE IS JUST SPITTING BARS
Donovan Marsh yes this would be dope
Actually it’s where he’s mostly singing not rapping.
Lol no its not lmfaooo
Moresco24 what? Some of his hardest rap songs on there. 5am in Toronto, 4pm in Calabasas, Jodeci Freestyle, Club Paradise... I mean come on
Cody Menard you’re right I misspoke a lot of bars on that ep
Call Drake whatever you want the dude delivers. Especially this masterpiece.
If you’re reading this is to late you will love absolutely amazing mixtape
This takes me back to 2nd year college, playing GTA with mods on my laptop and dropping that Take Care.
It was the only album I could easily listen to from start to finish repeatedly since The Carter III. By far my favourite Drake Album.
His So Far Gone mixtape is the G.O.A.T of mix-tapes. The mix-tape that changed Hip-pop
Ey bro listen to 808s and heartbreak by Kanye, I love drake too
But imagine The Weeknd having the hook for “practice”😳🔥
Gotta do “If You’re Reading This, It’s Too Late” or “Nothing Was The Same”
This is the reaction I never knew I needed! This Album is an absolute classic
I’ve literally watched four 30+ minute videos of yours today reacting to Drake albums, just feels great seeing someone hear them for the first time, it’s almost like I’m hearing it for the first time again. Love it, thanks for the content. I always watch reaction videos, it makes me want to start doing them myself but idk haha
Lord Knows is one of the greatest hip hop songs of all time I don’t care what anyone says. Just blaze fucking killed it with the production 🔥🔥
over my dead body one of the greatest intros of all time
I love your channel. Underrated
love how youre showing love to the Toronto classics
I love how throughout the reaction, Jon defends the women Drake is obsessive over
Also, listening to Andre 3000 makes me want an OutKast season Jon!
YEEEESSSSSSS. MY favorite Drake album.
Would love to see you react to 'Thank Me Later', definitely my favorite first album by an artist. In my opinion it's the one that started this run of consistency Drake has been on. Great first body of work. Keep up the great content Jon! Much love.
Oh man Jon is really about to react to two of my favorite albums of the decade in NWTS and IYRTITL. Your channel continues to keep me entertained man, keep it up!
Noooo .. look what you’ve done was skipped 😔😔😔
Lucky he didn’t skip the whole shit
My favorite songs are Take Care, Buried Alive Interlude, Marvin's Room, Look What You've done, and think the song name is underground kings(?) I like that one too
Love your reviews
You have created a very rare reaction channel where even if I don't particularly like the music in the video (in general; I like this album a lot), I still watch because you bring great insights and expert level breakdown to the video. Good job dude, I support your Patreon and will continue to do so!
This album brings me back to when I was a kid, drake shot part of the video for headlines down the street from me and everyone from my school went to go see him. Big time nostalgia
The first time I heard Abel was on Crew Love in early 2012. After a couple of listens I was instantly hooked on Abel's sound and wanted more. Thankfully there were 3 amazing mix tapes waiting for me and I've been a huge fan ever since. #XO
Wow same here! First time I heard Abel was through Crew Love, decided to look him up on RUclips & like you said, had those 3 amazing mixtapes there waiting for me to listen. First song I heard was Gone and I remember I was mind blown & the rest is history 🖤 xowtod
damn drake really brought the weeknd up
Yesss
you're a really eloquent speaker bro it's like i be making a lot of the same observations about the music as you but i'm not nearly as good at getting my point across in a clear and concise manner, think you got a very strong grasp on the realm of the music, issa gift man
Love your reactions bro! This album was crazy when it first dropped
You’re missing look what you’ve done... that song is a classic and one of the best songs on the album
You should do Rihanna - Anti
Everyone should listen to it start to finish at least once
Ur the most musicaly knowledgeable reactor I've seen around on the Tube, can watch Ur reactions any day
YES!!! Waiting for this, i haven’t even saw the whole reaction but i know i will love and appreciate it. The memories #DrakeSZN
So glad this isn't blocked!
The ones with The Weeknd:
Shot For Me (Writer)
Crew Love (Feature)
Cameras / Good Ones Go Interlude (Back Vocal)
Practice (Writer)
The Ride (Back Vocal)
The story behind it is those 5 are all The Weeknd’s songs but he gave them to Drake because Drake wanted them and according to The Weeknd, he was “hungry”.
Just discovered this channel today, love your reviews
one of my favorite youtubers this year no doubt man. love you
This guy is literally reviewing all of my favourite albums. Take Care is a masterpiece, every track is good. So nostalgic🔥
If you’re reading this it’s too late
It’s a must
Ghost writer for that project
please listen to Look What You've Done. not a big Drake fan but that song still gives me chills
Had to watch a review for this and you where the first name to pop up. Was revisiting this album after a while and the entire thing hit my like a nostalgia filled brick. Almost got close to the filling of hearing it for the first time. Can’t believe people really don’t consider this a classic album. Not a skip on here. Some of drakes best hooks and songs. The beginning of over my dead body is a different vibe man. The real her might be one of the smoothest hip hop tracks I’ve ever heard. Complimented with a perfect Wayne and 3k feature.
This album will forever be perfection
You skipped Look what you've done. My favorite drake song of all time :(
He didnt skipped

Underground Kings is one of his most underrated tracks, great reaction!

why did you skip "look what you've done"? the title is in the "HYFR" song.
This makes me feel like I’m listening to it for the first time again... can’t wait to watch it
Love your videos man.. your voice calms my soul while I eat lunch haha.. love from cali!
I wish I could go back and listen for the first time again
IMO, this is the most listenable Drake album. I still listen to this album today. The other album I still listen to is “Nothing Was the Same”, just not on the same level as Take Care.
Thank you for your reactions. Ive been hooked since house of Balloons
