US inflation is down slightly to 3.4% and everyone is panicking.
The media and the Fed are busy saying inflation is sticky and there is a serious inflation problem.
But is inflation actually bad? What’s driving current inflation in the US? Are high interest rates helping?

The rising interest rate can surely control inflation, but won't prevent erosion of the eroding purchasing power of the US dollar. I have learnt my lesson this time. The banks can't be making money off my money, while inflation eats into it. I have set aside 650k to invest in the stock market now, since that keeps up with inflation, but I don't know how to get started.

I don't care about the numbers. I live in Massachusetts. All I know is that my cost for food, fuel, insurance, resturant meals, sandwiches, coffee, electricity, and every other item I buy are up 35-40% from where they were two years ago.

You are not correct on the assement of home payments and inflation. While your actual mortgage loan payment will be the same for the term of the loan, your TAXES which are put into escrow go up ever year. This is how older people who own their home (outright) still lose their house, because they can't afford the monthly payment/ Tax bills. In America you never "own" your home. Don't pay taxes and Uncle Sam will take it right from you and auction it for pennies on the dollar.

The reason why the fed is keeping rates high is not to crash the value of dollar.

Hey Sasha, I thought we were supposed to get "a whole lot of more videos". I need your dose of sane market analysis vs the manic ramblings of so many others.

They needed to take a survey to determine that "renters are increasingly think they're forever priced out of the housing market"? DAMN. Next, they'll tell me to watch for the sun to rise tomorrow morning. wtf.

Your explanation about owners equivalent rent is somewhat flawed. Most landlords are savvy enough to know how much their property will rent in websites like Zillow, trulia, Redfin etc. you should look at how much single family houses are being rented in Zillow so that is a close to real number. They are not at 0% inflation. Only multi family apartments are not growing in rent.

You got one part wrong. Even if somebody owns their house outright, property taxes, insurance and HOA fees went up, sometimes 10%-20% just in the last year alone.

I’m 55 from southeastern Ohio but worked overseas all my life. I have savings of $1,000,000 and I'm ready for retirement, only concerned about the soaring inflation. Is this enough to retire comfortably, or do I need some sort of money management?

At present, the most prudent consideration for everyone should be diversifying their income sources, ones not reliant on government support, particularly given the ongoing global economic challenges. This remains an opportune moment to explore investments in assets like gold, digital currencies such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, and XRP, thanks to Flora Elkin for her guidance in these fields her proficiency is outstanding

Inflation has not been slowing down. Gas prices up, Insurance up, rents up, car repair up, restaurant prices up, internet service up, eggs up, frozen pizza up, soda up, potato chips up. I could go on. Things that every day Americans purchase are still being inflated. The cheapest oil filter from Walmart went from just over $3 to now over $6.That happened in the last 6 months.

I now turn off ALL power from the points. No appliance is left on and running! Cancelled my house insurance, my contents insurance and as much of my business insurance as possible. Registered my vehicles outside cities to reduce costs. Low ball offers on everything from housing to tools (with no intention of buying it), do not buy anything! WE HAVE THE POWER! USE IT!
