Tilly, I am on my 6th, yes, 6, hip on my R side. It’s too long a story to cover but infection did cause some of the trouble. I say this because I feel your pain and frustration!
I had the exact surgery 6weeks ago, and I was only on crutches for 3 weeks. The fact you were on crutches for 2 months is crazy, obviously you had no guidance in terms of rehab so that itself would of been debilitating. Hopefully you are doing good now.
How have you been finding the rehab process? It was very debilitating! My left hip is super happy now, just my right hip slowly disintegrating 😅 Fingers crossed you’re recovering well! 🤞🏼🤞🏼
@@tillyzarrella rehab is going great, I had my surgery in Perth, so I was in good hands. My hip was causing osteitis pubis so I was in pain all day for a year and half but that’s finally improving now that my hip is moving better. I had a combination of both the cam and pincer impingement as well as a Labral tear. I’m only 18 years old and he said if I didn’t get surgery chances of me getting a hip replacement at 25 is likely. Didn’t think it could get worse until I seen your videos, must suck but at least your doing better now.
When you say he shaved down the head of the femur did he remove cartilage? Is not the head of the femur capped with catilage? What did he shave down exactly?
damage to the labrum was not seen on the mri even though it was evidently pretty tattered up. He said he shaved some of the “excess bone” or cam lesion that he apparently saw on the head of the femur!
I have worse experience than her until now I can't walk without using 2 crutches its been 3 plus months since I got my hips arthroscopic surgery. My doctor took order to do a hips aspiration to check if there's a fluid in my hips but no fluids. My hips still hurts and I have pain in my knee and I can't fully straighten my knee it fella it will buckle and my doctor took an X-ray on my knee he said I have a slight arthritis but still I can't walk after over a week my doctor gives me a steroid shot on my knee and I've been addressing to my Physical Therapy they just continue doing the exercises but my knee realy doesn't felt right. Prostrated.
