This is the perfect example of good work when you put your mind to it! So many levels! Challenging puzzles! New mechanics! So much was added in those 3 years, it’s not even a ROM Hack anymore.
It’s a stand-alone game, and it is proud to show that!
Love, love, LOVE the mechanics chosen. The enemies are from damn near every early SMB games, level designs are fantastic, and the music stolen from other games and tweaked into what they are; Phenomenal. Kudos to the creator.
I really love how you incorporated music from many different games, and unique powerups that are not spammed all over the game!
The soundtrack in this hack is insane and it really shows how much you can do with the Super Nintendo sound engine.

This soundtrack is soooo good! The game itself is of course gorgeous, too. But having a list of the tracks from this game would be amazing.
These are the kind of worlds I imagined when I played this game as a little kid. So many good memories of beating a castle and then moving on to another world.
The effing SOUNDTRACK hits me all in the feels and the level design is amazing very impressive.

I've always wanted a sequel to this game. I was hoping 64 would be a 3d version of this but I was miserably disappointed. 64 was still great in it's own right.
The only part of Yoshi Island that was good was when baby bowser grows into a 100 foot giant and even then they stole that idea from that stupid movie Honey I Blew Up the Kid.
If only you could make things in SMM2 this beautiful... no seriously, you did an awesome job on this. I just happened to stumble across this, and expected it to be a very plain and boring ROM hack, but there was an original soundtrack, cool new remixes, and beautiful SNES authentic looking sprites! Amazing job!

Mario Maker is a level editor. Great in it's own right but if you want to create something truly amazing you'll have to get more expansive than that.
This is what I wanted Mario Maker to be.

NSMW 1: 12 Magic Orbs was actually my favorite hack, although I had issues with it like being a bit linear in terms of the worlds. But then, here comes a more polished sequel.
Odd double-monty moles that throw bombs, glitchy sound and a dodgy World 4-6 boss. There are certain things that could be improved. SMWCentral rejected it over some reasons like this...
I want to play this *because* it's not crazy over-the-top. Ridiculously difficult SMW ROM hacks are the vast majority of the hacks, and usually don't pay any attention to fine details visually. There's less than 10 well-balanced hacks like this on all the internet, and this one is one of a kind when it comes to how much extra detail went into the game to make it even better than the original Mario World.

@@StevenVillman Based off of that logic the Genesis and SNES should sound even more similar than the SNES and PS1. So no, it is because the sound chip was just designed at the perfect time to be a part of the SNES. At the time Nintendo had a fantastic reputation and a great repertoire with several popular hardware companies, so striking a deal and getting a good price on Sony's new sound chip wasn't too hard. Also, even Sony wasn't expecting the chip to be quite so affordable or finalized so fast.

This is the reason SMW will always be my favorite Mario because there’s so many possibilities to what you can do with the worlds and levels. When the first Mario Maker was announced in development that’s what I thought it was going to be, a game centered around SMW creating worlds and levels, maybe someday...

The Snes had enough Mario games. It even had pretty much all the main line Nes Mario games in a bundle.

It's really easy to do a simple SMW hack. You don't need knowledge of programming. It's Just like do a level in Mario Maker, but with many more possibilities. (Sorry for my bad english).
