I would also recommend having a trigger on special and having the grab/shield button on a face button. I personally have L on jump, ZR on special, and Y on grab. Having trigger special makes sh double gun way easier and if you also have a trigger jump, it gives you access to c-stick macro specials, which makes things like wavebouncing a lot easier
You use the same control scheme I do, only thing I didn't know until watching your channel is that having L as jump gives frame one aerials. I primarily use it for reverse aerial rushes since I find it hard to short hop with it. Do you primarily jump using the trigger or x and y?

I've been using the A button and the analog stick to do aerials, but I see that you use C stick. I've been trying to get used to it but sometimes when im trying to get up airs I end up doing neutral airs and down airs. Can you help me out bro?
LilHueso that happened a lot in smash 4 but was mainly fixed for ultimate, you’re probably flicking the cstick a little too early and the game registers a Nair. this doesnt really happen to me especially not with down airs, so you might want to reset your controller by holding Start+X+Y for like 2 seconds, or change your layout to the one I use and grind with that! :)

so im rlly confused on how to get jokers rar bair so you run... stop-cancel running into back tilt and do you press the back tilt and jump at the same time? or do you delay the jump or something..? i just can’t get this consistently at all 😭😑

yea i was actually going to say u had attack cancels and rars mixed up, but i didnt wanna confuse u more lol. and it really depends cuz i feel RARs are easier and more consistent but attack cancels can be a bit faster since its buffered
i don’t think it affects attack cancels but tap jump can give you accidental double jumps which can be bad in many ways, like wasting it, doing it where you didnt need to double jump, and sometimes getting it taken away by other moves so I would recommend taking it off but up to u! :)
ShadowImpactX yes i definitely recommend using a gamecube controller if u really want to get into the game, at least competitively. the pro controller is the next best thing but gamecube is for sure the preffered one
ShadowImpactX i actually just recommend going all out and getting the official ones, all the other character themed ones that u get at gamestop and amazon are just janky and the buttons feel hella stiff. i know its an investment but the official ones are the way to go 👌🏽
How can I get better with Joker if my execution of moves are bad? Does it help to just sit in training for hours to improve? I just got a Switch yesterday so I have a lot to learn. Is there a best way to get better? The only experience I have is playing at my friend's house but now I actually have a switch

bro i was editing a FIRE elite smash video and everything got deleted somehow 🤬🤬 ima have to make another one from scratch but i got u bro just wait on it :)
and for the down guns u wanna just buffer the aerial when you’re at double jump range from the ground, and it’ll stop right before hitting the ground. which is why its good to double jump and do it at the peak of your jump! :)

well you can with default controls but setting a trigger button to jump (L) gives you the freedom to use both hands for inputs, you press L with your left index and A with your right thumb at the same time. other combinations work as well and you could also use default, this just makes it way easier to do frame 1 aerials 😁

Can you please do one about a single joy-con? I really need a video like that because recently my blue joy-con has got severe joy-con drift, so I've been stuck with a single joy-con since last month. Soon I will get myself a different controller like a Pro controller
i’ve never used Joycons since dual Joycons and solo Joycons really arent recommended for competitive play ! maybe one day but again, i have no experience with Joycons unfortunately
not really because 1. i dont have a consistent enough schedule with my full time job and personal life atm and 2. i dont have any stream layouts or emotes or anything like that and i don’t know how it works tbh lol
well the stage doesnt matter, you just have to get the 2 frame timing down or if they don't have invincibility as well! practice your shorthop and fullhop fast fall down airs :)
Harry Zhu well if u don’t angle it down you don’t fastfall, its still possible without fastfalling (holding down on the analog stick while in the air agter the peak of your jump) but fastfalling makes it a lot easier
TooCozy You are spectacular bro. The situation is that I know the neutral of Joker, I have spent hours and hours in training mode but when I play against someone, I simply lose easy, nothing works out for me as I have practiced. Any advice for that?
Pablo Soto training mode (and CPU) is very different than playing against people! there’s many different ways to go about this and your question is honestly pretty vague, explain more? do you have trouble killing, comboing, edgeguarding, recovering, ledgetrapping, etc. do you simply get nervous?
TooCozy Sorry, I have not been totally clear, when my opponent is in death percentages, it is just difficult for me to guess a sure way to kill; I also have a hard time attacking safely at low percentages. it depends on what I’m doing, sometimes i use triggers and sometimes I use X (mostly shorthop fast fall aerials and delayed aerials) :)

to RAR u run, turn around, and during the turnaround animation, quickly input a jump and the aerial that u would like to do.

How do you make cloud short hop back flip for back airs?
Question for a player like me who uses tap jump to get jokers fair 1 easily do I still have to turn tap jump off to do attack cancel back air?
i don’t think it affects attack cancels but tap jump can give you accidental double jumps which can be bad in many ways, like wasting it, doing it where you didnt need to double jump, and sometimes getting it taken away by other moves so I would recommend taking it off but up to u! :)

For some strange reason I can sometimes do D- Throw into bair and somtims not, and when i think i got it i just do a drifting back fair
