Father I used to pray 4, 5, 6 hrs daily before cz I wanted our Lord to be happy n bless my son. I was bribing him like you said. Today even when I'm free n finish all my work n normal prayers I want to pray more. Today I pray for my son. But I also know I want to just have Jesus in our lives ..thank you for all your explanations daily. And we are praying for you Father just as you are praying for us.
I think most of us pray with an ulterior motive in mind. If I pray, God will grant it. This is not true. God knows what we need even before we ask and pray. However it is always His will and His way. Peace!
Thank you Fr. Mike, praying that you’ll always be holy and righteous. May God grant you the graces to be faithful to your vocation. May you be effective in bringing souls into God’s kingdom.
Father, may everything that I do this day, whether it be full of joy or pain, whether it be full of love or of grief, I ask that everything I go through today be offered to you just like Jesus offered everything to you. It is in his name we pray. Amen. 10/21/2024
Day 295 - Monday October 21st, 2024 Israel's expectations Today’s readings are 1 Maccabees 14, Sirach 34-35, and Proverbs 23:22-25. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ Thank goodness God is always faithful. I am so, so extremely thankful to God Almighty for all the blessings and protections towards me and my family. I could have been dead like 7 times already and I am still here in one piece and am grateful for my 3 grandsons.
All of you people watching this please pray for a friend of mine her words exactly “I don't know if non-believer is the right word, I'm not affiliated with any particular religion, I'm probably agnostic right now, I do find value in the psychospiritual, maybe to say I'm questioning is more accurate.”
Thank you Father Mike for sharing the bible with all of us. IT is a true blessing to read, hear and understand the words of our God. Praying for Father Mike and anyone who is in need of prayers.
Thank you Fr Mike. "Hail Mary, full of Grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death, Amen" My beautiful sweet Jesus, my eternal love, please bless Fr Mike and his family.
Thank you Fr Mike. My heart is full of joy for the love of God today. Thank you too, to everyone who makes this possible. Praying for you and everyone here. God bless🙏❤️🙏

Thank you so much Fr. Mike. Many blessings to you and to all who are still with us in this bible In A Year journey. You are in my prayers. God bless you.
You talking about being under the vine, fig tree, and not being afraid reminds me of John 15:5 New International Version. 5 “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.
Lord, let us love your Word you've given to us for 295 days and put it into practice. Let us pray for those who we said we'd pray for and let us never forget the holy souls in Purgatory, they need our prayers. 10/12/2022
Thank you so much fr Mike n all your team as well..managed to do both catechism and Bible in a year but faking short here Love listening to both Praise n thank God for giving you such inspiration Love n God bless

Apologies people a couple of days ago I put something on which I think unintentionally offended, this was not my intension, the word meant something other than what I thought it did, Sorry I was trying to add a little humour into our day. I have taken that paragraph off. You will be pleased to know I am leaving Sirach alone today, can't add to that wisdom. I am on safer ground talking about my garden, it is a blaze of red, as I was thinking about the four seasons, that we are fortunate to have here, I thought even in this rhythm of nature we can see the beauty of God's thinking. That sense that we can all have good and bad seasons of life, but even after the winters of our lives, spring is just around the corner, that new beginning, fresh growth, hope for change🍁🌻🌷
Agreed, I tend to look for your comments as they are a wonderful way to begin my, of course after we've been through the days readings..take care and God bless you Elizabeth 🙏 ❤

October 26, 2023 Round Two Will you please take a moment and pray with me? According to tradition, St. Gertrude the Great was told by Our Lord that each time she piously recited the following prayer, it would release 1,000 souls (or a vast number) from their suffering in purgatory: Eternal Father, I offer You the most precious blood of thy Divine Son, Jesus, in union with the Masses said throughout the world today, for all the Holy Souls in Purgatory, for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the universal Church, for those in my own home, and in my family. Further, she says that the souls are "praying fervently, but to no avail, for themselves; only we can come to their aid" (Diary, 20)
Fr. Mike I left a comment on your video regarding the Sabbath but it is germane to this video as well so I will copy my comment here as well as it is germane to what Jews expected in the Messianic Age. Jews believe that in the Olam Haba, that the day of worship on Sunday. This is evident in the Mishna, Pirkei Avot 4, and in the commentaries. Rabbi Yaakov ben Kurshai, the teacher of Yudah haNassi explains this. The Sabbath is the vestibule through which one enters into the Olam Haba - the Messianic age. In the banquet room of the Olam Haba, the Lord Himself would lay out the banquet. The Jews believed that the sacrifice in the Olam Haba would be a bloodless thanksgiving sacrifice. The word used by the Hellenic Jews was Eucharist. As the commentaries explain, one must repent of their sins before eating at the banquet feast of the Olam Haba. However, unlike the sacrifice of the lachem hapanim (bread of the presence of G-d) and wine before the Kodesh Hakodashim in the temple which was eaten by priests alone, this thanksgiving sacrifice was to be eaten by all. The Sabbath itself was understood to be a preparation for the Olam Haba which was to come. It is due to this understanding that the early Catholic Jews referred to Sunday as the Eighth day as the Seventh Day was a preparation of the Eighth day.
