So I have the animal 2. We have medium pile carpet on both floors of the house and I don’t struggle to push or pull it at all. I think where it does this is when the carpet fibers are very tightly woven together, or very densely knitted. It does my hallway area rug just fine as well. It won’t do the smaller area rug, but it’s a very plush high pile rug. It could also have to do with the backing. After reading reviews, I thought it would only work on a low-pile to no-pile carpet, which just isn’t the case in my experience. We have a normal average popular type of carpet from Lowe’s upstairs and a patterned medium-knit carpet downstairs. The hallway rug is a very tight knit low pile. Perhaps it’s a combination of the pile and fiber density.
I borrowed one of these...it is a BEAST! Amazing product. 😍 No issues cleaning mid pile carpet or hardwood floor. I am now buying one! Easy to clean too.
If you have a Ball 2 Animal and the thing sucks itself to your carpet so hard you cannot move it, go to you local auto parts or hardware store and get 2 #10 "O" rings. Take the brush head off your vaccum, open the tabs and install the "O" rings on the front tabs for the adjustable floor head. This will allow some air flow and also allow you to move the vaccum over the carpet with ease.
@@VacuumWars I refuse to use the Dyson inside my house anymore. It's a car cleaning/porch vacuum now. I enjoy your videos! The fog tests are my favorite!
@@kode1996 your machine was not leaking dust. I checked my multifloor and had the same dust around the seal. I even went as far as taking the ball off to have direct access to the filter. I went all the way around the filter and got 0 particles with an IQAIR particle tester.
@@timconnell9587 If you could leave your machine on for 45 mins to an hour and then check again. While you are using the hose and attachment cleaning the floor. I typically spend 2 to 3 hours vacuuming my large home. You can smell the dirt leaking. If you have the same dirt, then yours is leaking and your particle meter isn't working properly or needs a calibration. You can't look at the dirt leakage in my video and say it's not leaking. Saying that is like turning on the water faucet and seeing the water and saying the water isn't running. When obviously it is leaking. I had a DC50 that I watched the dust escape out of just like the fig did in this video. It was the time of day when the sun was coming in just right and I could see it all. A big cloud of dust came out of the DC50. Dyson's "whole machine hepa filtration" is a false advertisement..
I just bought this vacuum despite this video and don’t regret it. This thing sucks! My carpets look amazing. I vacuumed with my Shark before I used my dyson and the amount of dirt that came up was unsettling. Glad I went with the Dyson.
@@leehunter3964 I own a Dyson multi floor 2 and have medium pile carpeting. It works fantastically. I wouldn't try it on high pile though. Tried vacuuming my bathroom rug and the roller stopped.
It also picks up debris off my tile floor very well. Kitty litter, dirt, debris, fur, food crumbs, etc. Particles larger than that just aren’t common on my household. There may be one or 2, but most people don’t have a ton of large particles on their hard floors. Perhaps I will when my toddler gets old enough to eat cheerios.
most people in reviews say that there ball multi floor 2 works on low to medium pile carpet and that dyson shouldn’t leak is it possible depending on where you got it you got a faulty machine
Its possible, but I had the exact same issues (thick carpet, filtration) with a new Dyson Ball Animal 2, so if it was faulty I was unlucky twice is a row. Read the reviews on Amazon of the Dyson Ball animal 2, I would say about 1/4 of the people returned them due to them not working on their carpets. I havent read as many reviews on the Multifloor 2 but I would suspect similar comments. see this video: ruclips.net/video/-PL3RdogCr4/видео.html
I feel like all Dyson vacuums come with major trade offs. Like this one doesn’t come with a soft roller, that one doesn’t have a brush head, this one is terrible at hard floors, that one can’t be pushed on thick carpet, etc. Unless you’re buying the top of the line model, you’re losing out on a lot. Compare that with other vacuum manufacturers like Shark, Samsung, and others and you see that compromises are minimal. I understand the desire to have a tool that is amazing at a niche cleaning job, but it should be able to preform, at the very least, decently on a range of jobs. Especially given the high price. Don’t get me wrong I love my Dyson air purifier and have for many years, I just expect more from such a premium price for a vacuum
I just purchased the Dyson MultiFloor Original, and it is my first Dyson. But I have the issue you described in that the vacuum is EXTREMELY hard to push on plush carpet. We got new carpet this year, and I am thinking of returning this because it's too hard on my low back to do our large house with this vacuum. Also, the first vacuum they sent was defective and the handle wouldn't assemble correctly. Even with this replacement that works as designed, I think the handle design is flawed. Because I have to push SO HARD on the carpet, the handle pops out occasionally, and it's not that simple to snap back into place. For me as a first-time Dyson buyer, I am disappointed.
Tim, Thanks I know you have said that in the comments before. Do you have video? I would love to see how you do the tests and what settings and where on the vacuum you are testing, and compare it to the other particle testers who showed leaks, maybe we could then figure out what the issue is. I am unfamiliar with the operation but I have never seen a particle test show zero before.
I'm not sure how to record and transfer to RUclips. I took the particle tester all the way around the filter. In addition I tested a new ball multifloor 2 and also got 0 particle. I'm not sure if the fog machine is the way to test cleaners. Do you have a miele dealer close by because most keep one in the store. I can guarantee you that the brand new multifloor 2 will read 0 on the particle tester. My multifloor is 3 years old and still reads 0 particles. Your channel is growing by the day and in my opinion you need a particle tester. The particle tester is a must have tool for what your doing and a tax write off too.
I have the same issue with the brush just stop turning on higher carpet. I think where the cleaner head is smaller it creates more suction on the cleaner head there for pulling the cleaner head harder against the carpet stoping the brush roller
That's what I need to start doing. A set schedule. I do have one question. When you tested the Dyson ball animal 2 and multifloor 2 for filtration with the fog machine. Were they turned on?
Yeah I have been meaning to set a schedule for a while. I think it will be good for me as well as everyone else. For me because I can build up a back log of scheduled videos. Also RUclips puts a lot of stock in the amount of views and such when a video is released so scheduling helps with that. Yeah both the vacuum and fog machine are turned on. I use the hose and get it close to the fog machine, then use short bursts of fog.
I'm satisfied so far, first time use today, suction is good. Only problem I have is getting underneath the bed or sofa. It would have been nice if they made the motor brush head attachable to the extendable hose.
issue with too much suction on carpet - if this happens, just get a couple of the large 1 or 2 inch metal paper clips with the 2 arms and they hold the plate off the floor against the body of the head, at the highest position. By the way, where can i find generic accessories for this vac or adapter for standard vac tools?? all i see on amazon is for DCXX vacs - do they have the same wand connection as this ball 2 multi?
I got one in 2018, a year later 2019 the motor had to be replaced along with the yolk assembly (that's what the repair ticket said), only to be told this year 2020 that nothing was done to the vacuum. The loud whining noise after shut off continued after it supposedly been repaired, but I put up with it. Now the brush doesn't turn anymore. It's always something with that vacuum. I got a Motorhead V7 in September this year and it did not work right (brand new out of the box). Had to take it to get some kind of jam in the vacuum removed to get it to work. (I paid for it because I went round and round with Dyson). I had it with them, and the sooner the better I go back to a Shark again, which I had for years. Biggest mistake to by a Dyson.
You’re absolutely right. I have a brand new dyson ball upright vacuum. It grips the carpet so hard I can’t push it. I have it registered. Dyson actually sent me a new head. That did absolutely nothing to help. Does anyone know of any hacks to make it vacuum over carpet? It’s not even deep pile. Thanx
My parents have a Dyson DC65 Animal that they bought in 2015 from Sears on clearance. It will work on their carpet, hardwood floors, tile, and even their very dense area rug. I don't understand why the near same model's brush stops. You probably have a faulty model.
Yesterday I used my new dyson multifloor vacuum and I found it weird that it didnt pick up some cereals left on the floor by my son. I had to lift up my vacuum for it to pick it up. Thats the main issue for me since I have hardwood floor all around the house and I found it heavy to lift it up everytime. I really dont know what to do since I dont want to spend 1000$(cad) for a vacuum.
The dysons are never good in Hard floor. If you want a cheap corded upright vacuum that can suck up anything then go for any of the Shark duo cleans. they are very convenient and if you whole house is hard floor then they are perfect for you. If you want cheap options then go for the NV200 models only if they are under 200cad. If you want perfectly in the middle then get a Shark NV800 or 810 if you got a costco around.
I wish I had watched this video before I purchased this vacuum. Unfortunately it wasn’t until after when I was troubleshooting why when vacuuming carpet that the brushroll turns off and the vacuum gets locked down from the suction making it impossible to move. Now I have to pack it up and send it back 🤦🏼♀️
just get a couple of the large 1 or 2 inch metal paper clips with the 2 arms and raise to plate off the floor. Actually I think a thick short elastic near/at each end might be easier
I have the Dyson cinetic big ball. Which is pretty close to what you used. Mine doesn't have problems with carpets or stuck. Had it almost couple years . Works pretty well for me
I have tried, cinetic multi floor and animal 2 and both did not work at all on my carpet. It is not high but is thick. Anything beyond absolutely low ile stuck to the ground carpets will be a problem and these will not work on them. Thankfully there is a return policy and this issue is easy to replicate. Unfortunately dyson seems to have checked out by announcing it no longer wants to do corded vacuums. So although I loved my older dyson, now we part ways.
This is my second Dyson and my last. I had the original multifloor and it worked great(lost it in the divorce). So I buy the multi 2 and what a complete piece of garbage. I have low, but plush carpeting throughout my home and it just doesn’t work on carpets...which kinda defeats the purpose of getting a vacuum. I don’t know what Dyson can do to help, but I will end up buying a $90 Bissel and spending a portion of my free time trashing Dyson on every single internet site. Update: Reached out to Dyson and they said they are aware of the problem but there is nothing they can do and suggested I return it. Unfortunately, it was past the warranty date. They offered me 20% off in my next Dyson purchase(which ANY Dyson owner is offered). Lost all respect for the company. Wish I would have saw your review before I bought it. Now I’m out $300 + and all I can do is use the wand for my couches.
I still think my Sebo X4 Boost cleans comparably well when boost mode is engaged. Both vacuums really seal to the carpet and agitate very well. I can feel them pulling on the carpet, and I can feel them vibrate / agitate it to, even with shoes on. I think the Dyson might clean marginally better because it has more aggressive agitation, but it doesn’t pull anything out after the Sebo.
You should try the DC40. I know its slightly older model, but I believe this is Dyson’s best. It provides a deep clean and also is very good on hard floors with the adjustable inlet. Another suggestion is best commercial vacuum, e.g. Oreck vs Numatic Henry with powerhead vs other Hoover commercials etc...
Ilovehoovers tbh James Dyson has some of the best selling vacuums of all time. Idk why he doesn’t just use British models in the US, and I don’t know why he didn’t file a patent for the soft roller technology. All I know is he’s a rich man who will probably design a new vacuum to match the suction of a Kenmore, the pick up of a Shark, and the battery life of an automobile.
As an asthmatic, I will never own a Dyson upright. The stick vacuums seem to be actually sealed, but I'm not a fan of their lower power and short battery life. I take my time on carpets and would never be able to finish my house with a battery powered vacuum, so I'll stick with my Electrolux or Kirby, which with HEPA bags and intact hoses, don't seem to leak..
I like your channel and video a lot , I bought the multifloor 2 , too, Is there anyway that you can redo the smoke test again or have another same model redo this test ? I am very concern the dyson machine filtration.
Some good info. I just purchased the Animal 2. Dyson had close to 50% off and included 2 tools. I opted for the hardwood floor kit. They all have negatives and it comes down to which negative you are willing to accept and live with; that goes for every product that has ever been invented. Also, since I no longer have little ones, I don't have to worry about cereal on the floor, so no concern for that. The leakage is probably a result of some bad seals. How old is this unit?
Good review. I had this model dyson and it was terrible. You are correct if the carpet is not a very low pile, the motor turns itself off which it would do to me all time. Other sites have shown that the dyson uprights do not have a sealed system. They do put dust back into the air. Even the guys in the dyson store said they are having more problems with the latest multi-floor 2. I ended up returning it. I also have decided that I like bagged vacuums much better. There are some that have a sealed system. Also, they do not loose suction as the bag fills. You do have to check the bag from time to time. This is not rocket science. Mr. Dyson is theone who got customers to believe that is not the case. The truth is he lied. It is called marketing.
Very good points, thanks for posting. Yeah I too have seen the light with bagged vacuums. They tend to have higher airflow due to the shorter air path, and I have yet to find a leak in one that claimed to be sealed (and had a HEPA bag) again I assume due to them generally having less points of failure.
I don't think I could buy another other vac after the dual roll tech of the Shark Duo line. I have dogs and the concrete floors really show the dust particles and hair. The Duo has been the only think that allows me to do away with my swiffer.
@@VacuumWars Yup, I just need a second batter now. My first gen Duo that I picked up from Costco came with one battery. I am too honest to return and pick up their new offering with two batteries
Great review! This is basically the DC40 mkII. Amazing agitation for sure. Normal DC40 has quite weak brushroll. I have to try my DC40 mkII on the hardfloor and see how much it really snowblows. Only difference to the Multi Floor 2 is slightly narrower cleaning head and adjustable front rubber strip for maximum seal to the floor.
Good point, the DC40 and the Light Ball seem to have the same kind of beater bar as the cordless vacs, which have the soft bristles. I guess there are good points and bad points. I wish they would combine all the good qualities in one vacuum though. 😀
@@VacuumWars Actually DC40 mkII has similar design brushroll than the US ball2. LightBall (DC40 mkII replacement) has that totally different brushroll just like in the cordless models 😊
What about the fact that the hose near the head are squeezed around at a very small radius and debris get stuck very easily!! So frustrated and hate this vacuum! I don't like the Ball design at all.
I didn’t think it was that negative also ya what’s up with that thing my older dyson ( the old version of this) works great on carpet for pushing around and I can’t test the leaking think but in sun light it seems ok
Wish I had seen a video like this before we got this one for our wedding a few years ago. Now with a 1 year old, we cannot get it to pick up his left behind snacks to save our life. Wish we hadn’t wasted the money.
Do you know the differences between all the sebo models? If so would you be up to make new content by comparing models of sebo and other ones? I think it would be cool as I dont know much of the differences between all the sebos besides looks and automatic height adjustment. I think it would be cool if u could do stuff like that. I'm wanting a sebo in the future but I'm not sure which one is the most powerful etc
Vacuum Wars that would be amazing 😀😀 theres numerous models and jsut not enough information on them power wise. I dont think I would be the only one thankfull to know the difference between them lol
Honestly, not getting large debris off hard floors shouldn't be a negative. I mean common sense simply says you need to sweep that stuff up with a broom first and then go back with the vac to get the dust.
The Dyson V11 Torque Drive that also comes with the soft roller head, it’s great with any carpet and fantastic with hardwood floors and able to pickup large debris👍
If you are looking for a more convenient vacuum than a stick vacuum and don't want to be constantly changing the cleaner head then any Shark duo clean is great. They are all super good on picking up debris and they are insanely convenient.
If you want something like this then get a Dyson cordless or get literally any other vacuum. Dysons have way too tight seals. If you want something cheap go for a Shark navigator with zero-m. If you want something more expensive then go for one of the new shark rotators. The ones with powered lift away are the best.
that thing looks the same as my dc 40 that i"ve had for years it just has some more colors to it and the brushroll bristles go past the middle wheel to touch the carpet. i had to modify mine by shaving down the plastic and making a new slot for the wheel. other than that its been a good rig for something I found by a dumpster.
Maybe when you are vacuuming at 3:00 you should try turning the brush bar on instead of faking that it is hard to push. I don’t expect much tho from a guy who has affiliate links and sponsored reviews. Not to mention has literally been paid to work for shark.
Well since Dyson has announced that they are no longer developing corded vacuums, maybe this will be the end of Dyson machines without soft roller brushes. I am shocked at the leak seal test. I would have expected much better results from a sealed HEPA system. It would be awesome for your future videos if you could add data from a particle emission tester. It would be great to know how many particles are being released into the air.
I have a multi floor 2. I don’t mind it was free and it still under warranty for five years but I wouldn’t say I’d buy it new Dyson needs to have a little better quality material
I've got a multi-floor 2 and a V7 with the fluffy head and they have been great. Got each for about $150. I haven't noticed much of an issue with the vacuum being hard to push. I have medium-low pile carpet. I can't say much for the filtration, either. But yeah, if I were paying full price, I would probably lean in the Shark direction. I just keep hearing and seeing so many good things about them. But I'll probably have these Dysons for a long time as I'm a stickler for vacuum maintenance.
James Way Don’t fix it...that’s probably the reason it actually works. Mine can’t vacuum a rug or pick up anything larger than a mm on a bare floor. Shame because I loved the multi 1.
Interesting and generally fair. I would add though, that inches of water lift is not directly relevant to carpet cleaning performance. Air flow at the hose or head is not directly relevant to carpet cleaning performance. Excessive agitation is not directly relevant to carpet cleaning performance. Air flow through the pile (can’t be directly measured) and a whole host of other metrics are collectively important. The ONLY metric worth a dot, easy to directly measure, and not misleading, is the average cleaning performance across all floor types as measured exclusively via formal industry standard test methodologies by professional laboratories. It’s literally that simple. Since the V10 came out, mains-powered cleaners, including Dyson’s, are old-hat. This is especially so for these US versions which are essentially old DC41-era technology getting on for almost 10 years old. I've also seen no formal and convincing evidence that there are issues with the seals; the smoke machine test is misleading and I’ll debunk in future. It’s good that you allude to that in the video though in fairness.
I agree for the most part. Dyson actually promotes the smoke test themselves, that being said my particular version has some issues, that I am aware of and try to account for. in fact I would be willing to be interviewed for your debunking if you end up doing it as I could probably point out some flaws you might not have considered. In any case you are lucky to live in the UK where Your Dyson uprights are superior. Though we in the US did get a better cleaner head for the V10 😆
Dyson's smoke tests uses solid particulates and are a completely different situation to tests using a commercial theatrical smoke machine which uses liquid droplets. While I won't go into the detailed nucleation physics of droplet formation in the video, whenever I make it, I'll need to cover basic principles to explain what is happening in smoke machine tests and why some 'smoke' appears after the HEPA. It won't be framed as an 'attack' video, as some out there would no doubt interpret it, but as a myth busting and explanation video. Yes, the UK might have better uprights, but the V10, which is better than them all for most people, is better in the US because they fobbed the rest of the world off with the older V8 head and never explained why satisfactorily.
Yep, that's the difference. And it's possible to overload a filter in either case. But in general I don't use this test to test the quality of hepa filters but rather to find leaks in a system, which I'm sure you agree it does do. I can actually prove that the leaks in the Dyson ball uprights I have tested are not coming from the hepa filter by duct taping it off. In any case no matter what criticisms there are, and I would be the first to admit that there are a few, one would need to explain why all other sealed systems with hepa filters pass this test perfectly. Assuming you would argue its not a leak but some aspect of liquid particles and hepa filters, which I would argue against since the leaks are not coming from the filter itself, the you would be forced to argue that the quality of Dyson hepa filters are sub par to other manufacturers, which as far as I can tell is not true. I would suspect the only argument left would be that the reason the leaks occur in non hepa areas is that liquid particles at 5 microns have a different viscosity that solid particles, which I'm sure is true, but here agin you would be forced to conclude that all other sealed systems can pass the test regardless of this viscosity difference and it's only the Dyson ball uprights that arent able to.
I understand your logic above but it doesn't account for nucleation physics. I mentioned the issue and physical process in an earlier video comment. You can get recondensation of glycerol vapour and droplet formation post hot motor during turbulent mixing with cooler air, giving the false illusion of a leak in an apparently sealed system. You don't get this on sealed machines that have cooler motors that don't vapourise the pre-motor droplets, such as the handhelds. This also explains why it only happens when hot, and why people have wrongly concluded the filters warp with the heat. (The filter materials are modelled using finite element analysis to quantify thermal deflection at design time to avoid this issue). You can't use liquid droplet methods to determine leaks in such systems unless rigorous controls for nucleation effects are implemented, and must instead use solid particles like Dyson and allergy certification laboratories do. Do you get the same behaviour with solid particles?
@@VacuumFacts That explanation doesnt line up with what I have seen. Every test is done on completely cold machines, and they are run for about 30 or 40 seconds. Sealed HEPA Cordless vacuums passing the test (Dyson V8/V10, Roidmi F8, Shark P50) are not an anomaly, here are just a few examples of uprights that pass the test Kenmore Elite 31150, Hoover Anniversary, Shark Apex, Kirby Avalir 2, Shark Nv752, Shark Nv801, Shark Nv771. Again whatever explanation (assuming you want to believe that Dyson Ball vacuums do not actually leak) has to explain why other vacuums pass this test and the Dyson Ball uprights dont. Which can even include believing that I perhaps got two faulty machines, but even then it would bring up the question of quality control. That being said I think I will have to switch over to solid particle testing if for no other reason to please the purist. Do you have any suggestions for a way to do this that would also be visually effective for video? I have seen Shark do the test for commercials using a highly visible powder under a blacklight, I dont like the idea because it would be much larger than the 5 microns I am currently using, but I suppose it would also help find leaks.
I have one and it's hard to use the hose tools n I am not impressed with it at all. My shark vacuum was 100% better. Pet hair gets stuck in the suction head thing
Great review, I agree with your cons of the multi floor 2. I have one and really hate it! The plastic is creeky and the handle became loose. They do clean lower pile carpets well. I'm much happier with my SEBO X4.
I would disagree on the hose quality. I've owned 2 different Dyson uprights whose hoses got stretched out or otherwise damaged and disallowed reinsertion of the wand into the handle. Frustrating in any case let alone a $450 machine.
Okay so we have a new rug in the house - low pile silk rug and the Dyson Animal 2 cannot do it. I cannot push it without putting a considerable amount of effort into it, and if I try to pull it it just pulls the rug up with it. Why don’t they have adjustable suction?! Come on, Dyson!
Why doesn't have an adjustable gate, that's just stupid, even robot vacuum cleaners ,which are meant to be low profile , can deal wit large debris better. I wonder why they didn't put a soft brush roller at front or as an option, I think it would be better
I am not a fan of the modern dyson. I used to have a dyson dc50 and I must say it was the worst dyson I have ever owned. the engineer had been out 4 times to fix it that is why I got my dc07 fixed. and in my opinion this dyson probably would out perform all Morden dysons.
I've had this vacuum for 5 years now and it is excellent despite me putting it through basically hell.

I recently bought a multi floor 2 it’s absolutely amazing except for if you keep it in one place for too long the brush will shut off.
That's to make sure you don't destroy the carpet, having the brush on in one spot is not ideal. It's a safety feature, not a bug
I have a dog that sheds a lot of hair. The dyson upright does an excellent job in removing pet hair and dead skin from the carpet
I've tested the multifloor 2 and animal ball 2. Both vacuums went down to 0 particles on an Iqair laser particle tester.
You have the greatest, most creative and effective 'tests'!
New videos from Vacuum Wars every Tuesdays and Fridays at 4 pm est, 1 pm pst, or 8 pm Greenwich Mean Time
That's what I need to start doing.
Vacuum Wars what’s your favorite vacuum can you do a video on it please
@@VacuumWars could you do a dyson dc07 review bc they are still pretty popular
I'm satisfied so far, first time use today, suction is good. Only problem I have is getting underneath the bed or sofa. It would have been nice if they made the motor brush head attachable to the extendable hose.
How exactly did the Dyson Ball Multi Floor 2 beat the Dyson Ball Animal 2 in the suction and airflow tests?
issue with too much suction on carpet - if this happens, just get a couple of the large 1 or 2 inch metal paper clips with the 2 arms and they hold the plate off the floor against the body of the head, at the highest position. By the way, where can i find generic accessories for this vac or adapter for standard vac tools?? all i see on amazon is for DCXX vacs - do they have the same wand connection as this ball 2 multi?
I got one in 2018, a year later 2019 the motor had to be replaced along with the yolk assembly
(that's what the repair ticket said), only to be told this year 2020 that nothing was done to the
vacuum. The loud whining noise after shut off continued after it supposedly been
repaired, but I put up with it. Now the brush doesn't turn anymore. It's always something
with that vacuum. I got a Motorhead V7 in September this year and it did not work
right (brand new out of the box). Had to take it to get some kind of jam in the vacuum
removed to get it to work. (I paid for it because I went round and round with Dyson).
I had it with them, and the sooner the better I go back to a Shark again, which I had for
years.
I love vacuums and sort of collect them. This reviewer is spot on with all the vacuums I have personally used.
Good to hear! Thanks!
Thanks for the very informative info….you just saved me $$$ and major headaches.
Great to hear!
What would you suggest fot someone with a lot of pet hair and hard wood floors?
Your videos are so informative. I really appreciate all the work you do 😁
Cool! Thanks I really appreciate it!
Is the shark apex zero m better at deep cleaning than the Dyson ball 2?
We tested the Apex Zero M at 98% and the Dyson Ball at 100% so yeah a little but still it was super close.
Cool, thanks for the tips!
Ilovehoovers Henry’s aren’t to expensive in comparison. You can get one new for around £125!
Ilovehoovers its a British company and shipping is horrendous.
Yeah they are pretty pricey in the US, but I have been thinking about it. I think it would be fun. I
Has this model been updated?
Dyson has a new 3 line.
You are still getting indoor air pollution from your Lux or Kirby. Dyson is a good brand. There are also cheaper water filter vacuums too
I like your channel and video a lot , I bought the multifloor 2 , too, Is there anyway that you can redo the smoke test again or have another same model redo this test ? I am very concern the dyson machine filtration.
How much percentage of sand did the Kenmore elite all floors get out of the carpet
90%
Some good info. I just purchased the Animal 2. Dyson had close to 50% off and included 2 tools. I opted for the hardwood floor kit. They all have negatives and it comes down to which negative you are willing to accept and live with; that goes for every product that has ever been invented. Also, since I no longer have little ones, I don't have to worry about cereal on the floor, so no concern for that. The leakage is probably a result of some bad seals. How old is this unit?
your thick rugs carpet fibers are very close to each other is it possible if the fibers were spaced out more it would be easier to move
I suppose it would, but thats like asking "Would it be good on thick carpets if the carpets weren't thick?
Please try a Dyson DC 14
Could you review the Dyson dc39 Animal canister vacuum cleaner and use the particle counter to see how much it leaks?
Great video!!! I love dyson vacuums, I just think they are expensive but I can live with that, what do u think about the dyson digital slim?
Angel, I havent tried the digital slim, but in general I like their cordless vacs.
Most accurate review on you tube!
I don't think I could buy another other vac after the dual roll tech of the Shark Duo line. I have dogs and the concrete floors really show the dust particles and hair. The Duo has been the only think that allows me to do away with my swiffer.
Yeah I think lots of people with mostly hard floors will ever go back to a non soft roller. Best invention for hard floors since the broom.
@@VacuumWars Yup, I just need a second batter now. My first gen Duo that I picked up from Costco came with one battery. I am too honest to return and pick up their new offering with two batteries
Ebay!
Vacuum wars what vacuum is your favorite
Hmm thats difficult. For hard floors the Apex Zero M, Cordless Dyson V10, For Carpet, Sebo Felix 1
Vacuum Wars because I am thinking* about doing reviews on vacuums under 300$
That sounds cool! Yeah all those are kinda pricey, my fav under $300 is the NV771
Vacuum Wars I am going to do one on my oreck type 7
@@vacuumtests9225 oh okay, thanks for clearing that up.
I've vacuumed shag carpet with these machines, im not sure why the ones you had couldn't?
Wish I had seen a video like this before we got this one for our wedding a few years ago. Now with a 1 year old, we cannot get it to pick up his left behind snacks to save our life. Wish we hadn’t wasted the money.
Do you know the differences between all the sebo models? If so would you be up to make new content by comparing models of sebo and other ones? I think it would be cool as I dont know much of the differences between all the sebos besides looks and automatic height adjustment. I think it would be cool if u could do stuff like that. I'm wanting a sebo in the future but I'm not sure which one is the most powerful etc
Good call brett, I think Im going to do just that!
Vacuum Wars that would be amazing 😀😀 theres numerous models and jsut not enough information on them power wise. I dont think I would be the only one thankfull to know the difference between them lol
Honestly, not getting large debris off hard floors shouldn't be a negative. I mean common sense simply says you need to sweep that stuff up with a broom first and then go back with the vac to get the dust.
what is the best all in 1 vaccum, for carpet, shampoo, hard floor etc?
Bissell crosswave by far
But my only con for the mutifloor is the cord is not right for my house
Could you please review the dc50 multi floor? (As in the original unit)
Such an excellent and helpful review..!!
Thank you.
Hmm, it’s like a dumbed down version of the small ball which is available in other regions like Australia and UK. I wonder why Dyson would do that.
Hello! I have the same vacuum and I use flour to do my suction tests. Is this hurting the foundation of the vacuum in any way?
yes. It’s too thick and can clog the filters
I need someone to test my shark nv105 I need to know the pros and cons
Hi! I love you videos! What vacuum would you recommend for a home with hardwood, wool rugs and rooms with medium carpet?
The Dyson V11 Torque Drive that also comes with the soft roller head, it’s great with any carpet and fantastic with hardwood floors and able to pickup large debris👍
If you are looking for a more convenient vacuum than a stick vacuum and don't want to be constantly changing the cleaner head then any Shark duo clean is great. They are all super good on picking up debris and they are insanely convenient.
Thanks for this review! I bought the Dyson Ball Multi Floor 2 and will take it to a country that's 220V. Will it work with 220V?
Nope. You'll have to buy another machine or go through the process of converting it. It'll require a 220V main motor and 220V brush roll motor
I want something with super high airflow but lower static suction so it doesn't stall on the carpet
Hi,
Can you test the cinetic bigball total clean upright? It is an updated version of the cinetic bigball animal.
Thanks
Ill check it out thanks!
@@VacuumWarsThanks so much. If it isn't sealed, I am returning mine.
Very thorough. Excellent job!
Yeah I need to just break down and buy one. I probably will soon.
There is a fix you have to take out the seal in the brush bar
I suppose, but then it would negate the one thing it does well. But I suppose if you are stuck with one that is the move to make.
Vacuum Wars I’ve done it for my Dyson ball and cinetic and they work great now you should try and upload a video about it
Thats a really good idea, thanks for the tip!
Vacuum Wars people have been getting rid of there Dysons because of it because like nobody’s made a video about this.someone needs to get the word out
I have a multi floor 2. I don’t mind it was free and it still under warranty for five years but I wouldn’t say I’d buy it new Dyson needs to have a little better quality material
very informative. thanks for the video
You should review the Samsung powerstick or Samsung Motion sync lineup
Yeah those look cool, thanks for the tip.
Your welcome
I have thicker carpet than in your video and the vacuum works perfectly on it... not sure what the issue is on your end.
I got hard floor and small rugs this model is a night mare. it eats everything or pushes it around
I have this vacuum and am super impressed 😅
My ante has the animal 2 and she says that it does ok with hard floors. I have the miltyfloor 2 and it's does better. Idk why.😄
I'll stick with the v10. Now that I have a cordless, I use it all the time. Looks like the multi can't do much of anything useful other than the wand.
Yeah, we LOVE our V10
This was helpful now I will get that or Dyson ball animal 2
Don’t get it there are much better vacuums for the money
Just got it i freakin love it
the Mutlifloor 2?
Yes but the only thing is my bin has a crack in it and it lose suction
You can get replacements on Ebay pretty darn cheap.
James Way Don’t fix it...that’s probably the reason it actually works. Mine can’t vacuum a rug or pick up anything larger than a mm on a bare floor. Shame because I loved the multi 1.
I love my Dyson but on hardwood I just end up using my broom and swiffer.
I got the V7 with the fluffy head for this purpose. Also useful for countertops.
I'm a fan of dyson and bissell
Cool a Sebo X4 is a big upgrade!
Why is this guy so interesting
Why doesn't have an adjustable gate, that's just stupid, even robot vacuum cleaners ,which are meant to be low profile , can deal wit large debris better.
I wonder why they didn't put a soft brush roller at front or as an option, I think it would be better
I am not a fan of the modern dyson. I used to have a dyson dc50 and I must say it was the worst dyson I have ever owned. the engineer had been out 4 times to fix it that is why I got my dc07 fixed. and in my opinion this dyson probably would out perform all Morden dysons.
Your probably right, I know people love the DC07 I need to get one just so I can know what a good Dyson upright is like.
Bought one from Costo 2 days ago. 2020 sux.
