Great VLOG! This is 2nd of your flights I have viewed. I am a little North in Clearwater and fly a M201. Hate to see the rude comments about Lucy. My wife is a slightly younger immigrant and people don't understand not everyone smiles all the time for no reason. My wife reminds me, Give me a reason to smile and I will. Thanks again!!

My daughter moved to Tampa this year and I flew down there in August (commercial) and spent several days. I was asking her which beach we were visiting and she said "It depends on which one it's raining at." She's correct. There were isolated cells of pretty strong storms every afternoon. It was beautiful to watch and occasionally an inconvenience but she says she loves all the pretty clouds in Florida. Really enjoy the videos and I love all the shots where you're skimming the clouds. Punching through that hole in this one was fun to watch. Great job braving the weather Lucy.

Thanks for this wonderful video! I was reading the comments below and it appears that some folks have been critical about Lucy. In my opinion, she wasn't bored but rather coping with flight anxiety. You can tell her reaction at 31:06 when the pilot said, "little bit of weather." We've all looked out the window of an airplane and have seen towering clouds and closed our eyes for a bit to calm ourselves. Again, great video!
Thank you! She was laughing in the beginning, asking questions throughout the flight. She is only a passenger and not a pilot or student pilot so I don't know what some people expect. The same people should place a camera on their girlfriend for a 2 hour car ride and see how often they appear "excited" lol

At 16:04 , 16:42, 18:00 and 19:55 , pay attention to the bottom right side of the image. You can learn where to keep your right palm, while piloting an airplane.
She is quiet especially when the cameras are on but you are correct. She watches everything and figured out on her own how to read the distance and ETA data on the GPS. I am not sure she could land yet, but at some point I will make sure she can.

If you knew anything about flying in weather, you'd see she's probably experiencing a fair amount of anxiety and probably a touch of motion sickness, which is exhausting...made worse with the heat as shown in the video. I'd say she's a trooper who hung in there nicely.

The system works great for those who know how and are willing to use it. With all the data available there is no reason to be penetrating storms.

do not use the squak that foreflight gives you, the faa ripped them a new one for that. cool feature but always go with the atc

Some pilots get nervous with passengers swiping there hands in front of controls. Rule 1. Keep your hands away from all controls.
She knows not to touch anything and anything she can touch wont have a major impact o the flight.

If you knew anything about flying in weather, you'd see she's probably experiencing a fair amount of anxiety and probably a touch of motion sickness, which is exhausting...made worse with the heat as shown in the video. I'd say she's a trooper who hung in there nicely.
I suspect she knows she's there solely for 'eye candy' and doesn't enjoy it.
