its nice to see your co pilot hasn't got a broke wrist any more
Nice graphics on those shirts, I wish they had mentioned "Baron Pilot" on their page.
Ha. She got you. Go-Around is ALWAYS an option. Good save brother!
Interesting flight, also glad to see Kim's arm finally freed.
I really appreciate pilots who show their not so perfect landings. Great job adding a little power after the bounce.
Don't beat yourself about the landing. You responded quickly and appropriately to bring it all under control. If you only ever experienced 'perfect' landings, then how would you respond when things go sideways? Keep sending the videos, they are great!
There are old pilots, and there are bold pilots, but there are no old, bold pilots. Add this to your collection of sayings. Super enjoyable channel. Thanks, John.
Great video as always. Good reminder for us that deviations are always an option as is adding power or going around, good catch Kim my wife says I’m the master of go around. 👍
SIC is mastering the fine points of a crew and aviation, helpful to have her with you, nice video…good second landing…
Very glad to see Kim’s arm is all healed up, and doing better. Kim, have you gotten started on your ppl? Great video as always. This shows how important the decision making process is when your in the air.
I've got to tell you. I always enjoy how you " grease " your landings so beautifully. This landing you
Corrected right away. 👍
Well at least after I bounced I corrected. 😂
That was pretty damn good, you knew what the plane was about to do and fixed it.... nice man!!!
Yous wuz busy busy...enjoyed the video thank you once again. It was great to see the cast off of Kim's left arm and she tested it by pushing open the hangar door no less. Nice recovery from that dip in the runway Kris. They need to get that fixed...lol, Kris good reflexes too!
Good to see you both
Thank you for sharing
Always enjoy watching your flights
We appreciate you watching!😘
These are always fun!!
Well, that was an exciting one! Appreciate you sharing it, others might not have. I truly was on the edge of my seat! Hope you guys are doing well.
Hello there👋👋, how are you doing today? Hope you had a nice day?GOD BLESS YOU!!!
Hey Kim it look's like your arm has healed up! Loved the BOUNCE, GREAT RECOVERY MATEY!
sorry it did not work out with this young lady as i enjoyed so many flights with you and kim. best wishes for you you both. .
Great team ! Very Professional
Yea that weather was nasty! Great landing Kris in St Augustine
Great video guys, Happy 4th 🇺🇸
Of course the weather is always nicer when the NTSB arrives ... because it'll be 3 years later! Could be an ice age by then. :D
I just got my paramotor all set up to send it ... then I hear thunder and see cumulus. The storm was moving a bit faster than expected. DRAT! It was beautiful prior to that. It's beautiful again, but everything's wet! The forces of nature don't want me up there, lol!
Great stuff Kris & Kim - good to see ya! I've been slackin' on the vids. Not enough hours in the day unfortunately. I need to make hours!! :)
You might not be happy with your landing but, as every pilot knows - any landing you can walk away from is a good one and any landing where you can use the plane again is a great one.
Another great vid Kris & Kim.
I'm sure glad Kim wasn't trying to powerboard around out in that windstorm.
Kim, great job on comms, just don’t talk too fast. You’ve learned from an auctioneer, and best radio coms are slow and clear, when you rush, you miss stuff or make errors.
Anytime you fly, land, and can reuse the airplane, it’s a good landing! I thought you did a great job. Takes me back to my solo, where on the first landing, I bounced three times. My instructor reminded me that only counted as one landing.
It reminds me how I’m guaranteed to bounce! Anticipation is stressful!
3 bounces = 1 landing. I like that! 😅😂
Good landings following a bad one are always more appreciated.
the new cover looks great
Dang Kim sure nice to see you in one piece again.🤩
Kim, I'm so glad that #FlyingSIC has her wing all healed! I'm sure 3175W missed all the pre-flight smooches. Kris, it's great to have The Team back in the air! Keep Kim away from those dangerous OneWheels... Oh and NICE LANDING (the second one, anyway...) 😉
Drinking game: Take a drink every time someone comments “any landing you can walk away from…”
Only good landings are good landings. I never subscribed to that whole "any landing you can walk away from..."
Any landing you can use the plane again is a good one
@@williamoddo9199 not really. I like artistry in my landings. Just plopping it down isn't good enough.
Take a drink when someone says "75 Whiskey"
@@mattbasford6299 I was referring to the most difficult landings
I've seen way worse landings, don't be so hard on yourself. Great recovery by a Veteran Aviator! Well done my friends.
Did you ever read Flagler's book "Bridge to Paradise"? He details building the bridge from Miami to Key West. Very good read!
I Enjoyed this Flight It Gives you Insight about flying But Of course I never flew a Plane Before Just Being a Passenger myself I experienced one thing . after my friend Lisa had a bird strike it was a Egret flew into the Propeller when we were Landing . It Looked like a great big pillow Exploded Ploof.
..the..Baron Pilot..and the Baroness.. PIC Pilot..priceless..
Looking so nice.. Happy 4th of July to you.. Fly safe always..
Happy 4th to you!
@@flyingsic Thank you. Be safe flying...
0:32 -- A lovely lady-friend, an Audi and a Beechcraft Baron.....life is good!!
Awesome pilot skills… greased that second landing
Great video, patience is a virtue, great lesson. I learned that the NTSB doesn't fly in bad weather and your tongue in the first and second landing is interesting. Sorry you will miss OSH.
It’s like a Cheetah’s tail! It keeps me balanced! 😂
Thanks for fixing ERAU Eagle. 😆
It still cracks me up that you actually stick your tongue out and to one side when you land!! Great job on blipping the power to smooth it out.
The tongue action keeps the plane level🤣
@@flyingsic I have forbidden my brain to take this any further! BAD Brain!!
@@Mike_Costello 😳😳😳🤪🤪🤪🤪💀
Glad to see you have your cast off.
At first I thought Kim's shirt said "Stay Insured" because the shoulder harness was blocking part of it! Lol!😄😎👍
THIS IS HILARIOUS!🤣🤣🤣
Thanks for explaining that. I was wondering how you figured left vs right when atc doesn't specify.
For example if you are already flying east on a 090 heading and ATC asks got you to turn to 070. If you was to make a right hand turn it would be almost a complete 360.I hope this helps you and Kris may still chime in later 😁
In my experience, 14 years in towers and Radar Approach Controls, I LOVED IFR DAYS!!! Less traffic, and all was controlled...just sayin. I ALSO LOVED VFR DAYS ... More traffic and more complex. I also loved when the radar went out...I know, I'm twisted.
Just found you channel. Have seen a few videos. You are making me miss my flight days.
Welcome to the channel. Glad you’re enjoying them. Maybe you need to go back up for a flight 😉
@@BaronPilot Would love to but don't have the money. Just enjoy watching other at this time.
One of your more entertaining infomercials
Living my dream out there "THE" Baron Pilot!
We appreciate you watching!😘
Not bad at all bro, considering the recovery! Way better than most!?
Tower - Nice landings.
Hello there👋👋, how are you doing today? Hope you had a nice day?GOD BLESS YOU!!!
Great video guys ! We need to catch up again maybe breakfast at X39 one day.... glad to see that your arm has healed.....
Yes! If Kristoffer can only find the time. We will be in St Aug again this week. Can maybe do dinner this weekend if he doesn’t get out too late?
@@flyingsic okay we are in west palm traveling for work, if not this week we can plan something...
The "worst" landing was a very good teaching opportunity....
Do not apologize!
"They go fast, I get flustered"
Not much you can say to that😂
At 11:13, you saw the lightning. Has the Baron ever suffered a lightning strike?
My wife was rocking her Beechlife shirt on our last leg home today - entirely appropriate!
Post on Instagram and tag me
Love your videos-I fly the same B55-question you were cleared for the RNAV 29 but you reported to tower that you were cleared for the visual-does this matter?
Yaaaa - bonus landing. 2-for-1 video :-)
Nice Audi!
I was sitting right seat in a 421 years ago, my PIC caught me yawning once, he never invited me to go flying with him again.
That’s not nice!
I am pretty sensitive to altitude, this flight I couldn’t pop my ears to save my life😳😂
But Kristoffer can get boring😂😂😂
Yes we did enjoy the landing 😬😬😬
Good to see you guys in the air minus a cast. Was this after your annual?
Before! We just dropped her off
Given the circumstances this landing was good. You reacted swiftly and in the right way - so be nice to yourself! 😉
I know that you landed that way on purpose to demonstrate the recovery method. Good job!
That’s his story and he’s sticking to it!
Hey, you didn’t bend anything, so it’s a good landing. And you can use the airplane again!
Bedankt
Weather in Florida .... who would have guessed! Florida pilots know that deviation is always a possibility, so one must always remain inspired.
Hey, don’t be so hard on yourself! Any landing you can walk away from is a good landing! Alternatively you could do a Buzz Lightyear! Crash with style!
Your both safe. Plane can still fly. It’s all good.
Flager! I am very familiar with the airport.
Yinz are fun to watch
I guess this was shot after Kim got her arm out of the cast? I hope she's doing well.
I was always told that any landing you can walk away from is a good one. It's a great one if you can use the airplane again! LOL
Hey Kris you are too hard to yourself. From the left wing camera it doesn't look so bad, and your reaction to it was absolutely on spot and safe, well done. Love the airplane cover/tarp. Love how Kim kept quiet and let you concentrate on your final approach and landing in St. Augustine too. Greetings from St. Augustin (EDKB) Germany (no joke 😉) Andy.
Initially I thought the runway was bumpy then realized we bounced! But then again, I’ve never felt a bounce before🤣
@@flyingsic Thank you for your reply 😎
That’s awesome!! We need to visit there just based on the name!
@@BaronPilot That would be so cool. Would love to show you around.
“Time to spare, go by air”
Just letting everyone know he has real great merch
🙄
I've had my share of landings that might shake a filling or, two loose.
Happy to know I'm. NOT the only one !!!
😂😂😂
Bumpy landing, pretty plane and pretty lady. 2 out of 3 isn’t bad. 👍🏼
haaaate that approach at FIN, its LP approach mins by the way so it was unverified gs ;)
I don't like going around. In fact, in 15 years I can count on 1 hand how many times I've gone around. I just do what it takes to save a bad landing. Thankfully, they are very rare.
There is nothing wrong with going missed! It is the mark of a great pilot.
@@frankpoynter6350Difference of opinion. I didn't say there was anything wrong with a go around. I just don't like doing them. I'd rather just adjust and land the plane. Practice instrument approaches are different. I would rather just make an approach where I don't have to go around. I'm a good pilot.
Hey Gregg to you know anyone that will ferry a couple from the Miami area after a cruise up to the Villages area like an Uber instead of doing the two airport things then the shuttle.
Plain was already wet, wipe the cover on?
New Look. Good Team. Pilot is in sync with Experienced Passenger. Like it. Need to see an airshow fly in. LOL You haven't had your worse landing, still alive. Love seeing after landing.
Hello there Kim haveyou done any more flight training yet ?
How come it always seems to be Kim doing the work. Cleaning the aircraft, opening the hanger doors 😆😆😆
Because we don’t have a camera crew 😉
Nice...one take off and three landings.
They didnt advise of the wind gusts. Not your fault, you did a great job saving the landing. Going around is best, sure, BUT, you can salvage a landing also, without increasing the danger-zone at all, which is what you did here. Its about split second decision making. Great Pilotage displayed here Folks.
Hey, the plaster is off, or is this an old vid out of sequence? When are you starting the Kim at flight school channel?
Just wondering why you discussed a "step down" approach while you were talking about and on an ILS . Just curious. Incidentally we all have had "questionable" landings. They all can't be "greasers"!! :-)
Yea, SIC Gimpy got her cast off??? I had the same kind of flight day before yesterday, bobbing and weaving around storms.
Summer Florida flying! 🙄😂
Eagle down!
Looks like I see sunlight coming through the top of the right door
QUESTION -- With all conditions being equal, would this flight be "doable" for you at night? At best, night flying always scared me.
That wasn’t a bad landing considering. I think adding power saved you from a bigger smash the second time around. It was a good choice to land with approach flaps; and I the problem was your approach speed over the numbers was a lot faster than it should’ve been even for approach flaps setting. At least that’s what it looked like on the video.
You are exactly right. That was exactly what I did wrong.
I have to say… Installing the AXP340s, the IFD550 and IFD540 in my C441 was a bad mistake.
Well that first landing is exactly the landing you didn't want on the landing challenge accepted video you did for me, would have been a good one to show us from the belly cam......lol It had to be a fluke wind gust right? I hope it didn't make Kim more nervous about her first landing, should be soon now right Kris??? ;-)
SO MAD the tail glitched this flight and we didn’t catch it!🤣🤣
1:24 - 😮 what the .....?
Look ma, both hands! :)
Don't forget to Teach Kim to Parralell Park Lol Sorry I don't spell very good
Where are you keeping 3175W during Elsa? Just curious, cause she's comin at PGD!
She’s in annual in AL.
