- This is a compilation of videos from over the past couple months of all the foals on our homestead! We started halter training each of our foals and these are their “firsts” for halter training. They all did really well!

Follow along with our family as we share our life events while living on our 168 acre homestead, farm and stables! We are all about raising and training our horses, the Missouri Foxtrotter. Our goal is to bring awareness to this breed and showcase just how wonderful they are! We also raise and train our working border collie dogs. And don’t forget the homesteads sheep and goats!!! We also go to occasional auctions and recently have gotten into regenerative farming/agriculture. We are all about learning how to improve our fields/soil.

They are all so beautiful and smart. Lakota asking for the halter so he could show off was one of the cutest things I have ever seen. It was so obvious that he was asking for Dad to put it on him. He did everything but buckle it on himself. 😅 I love how he stood up tall and pranced around, so proud of himself. He is a star, and he knows it.🤩 It must be a joy to work with him. He is like that one little kid in the class who raises his hand before the question is finished. How wonderful to see Magnolia blossom. She is a real beauty. It is really sweet how they all have their favorite scratchy spots. I watched all of their birthing videos. What fun to see their progress. It was cute to see Oliver being naughty instead of his usual angelic self.😇 He is getting to be so full of himself.😎 Those puppies are beyond adorable! Thank you for another awesome video. This from a non horse knowledgeable person. I'm sure it's time consuming, expensive and tiring, but I can't imagine the sheer pleasure being around these guys and gals bring you all. Watching your interaction with them actually brings tears to my eyes. Becca is unbelievable for such a young woman. She has a heart from God for these horses and I believe she would make an exceptional vet or trainer at the given time. Watching her and Happy together just shows what is possible with a young foal or even her horses.

Magnolia wins, she came the farthest in training and was sweetly loving Bonita made me go AWWWWWW how sweet! I LOVE hearing you all softly speaking to the foals which helps calm them. God Bless you all!!!

I enjoy seeing Bekka with the foals , but when she centered on Mags my heart melted. Poor little filly...auctioned so young...how spooky must that have been...so thankful JR decided to rescue them.👍😊
Watching Becca and J.R./w all their Animals is an inspiration of hope .The videos will show how instantly the foals pick up on praise and love. Like watching how Happy hugs her stands by her close like Becca was her actual horse mother. Happy trusts her beyond what i have EVER seen. People have always
known horses can tell when you are afraid they will take advantage and try to go where they wish to go NOT BY YOUR GUIDANCE. Love is trusting even in wife to husband. To see them,
Happy and Magnolia the change in Mags...she was afraid and Becca talked to her rubbed her like her horse mother does licking herall over when she was born. The horses are responding and you see it in minutes the change in just a few minutes of not jerking them around and harshly yelling woa etc!!!!
Trying to control thrm. Does anyone rlse see instantvtraining softbtalk I raise rubbing, pattingthem for praise. Do you know, in just a few minutes, how amazing these babies want to please they are all learning to give instantly learning hiw to be safe, to h ave good maners. I amso blessed to see this kindness. Do differently done than the usual & so much faster. Saves time saves abuse, saves $ why not all ofvus try this way ..

@kathleenchaffin2591 It was earlier this year when JR received a call from a friend telling him a mare named Jewel (from his deceased stallion) & her baby (JR named Magnolia) going to auction. He went & bid on them~Em filmed it for Utube...take a look...it was very touching! JR has a big ❤️
@@reeritz1280 thanks for your time! I cannot watch haha, it breaks my heart. I simply don't understand why they chose to rehome her. Not lucky enough to be a horse person, but she looked exquisite to me.
All the foals are so beautiful, I love rain and happy, I think Oliver was feeling a bit missed out, but it was great to see him, the puppies are so cute, I’m glad Winnie is doing great, she has put a lot more weight on, having a friend with her all the time probably helped Winnie out. Thank you guys 💕💕💕💕💕

Goodness, like people, they have thier own personality and likes and dislikes. It's a world unto it's own. . It would be wonderful if Bonita decided she wanted Magnolia. It's touching to see that little blonde beauty respond to her so well. God bless you all. Fun video.

I love Lakota but Magnolia really benefited from the extra attention. That is the horse I pick or buy, but Lakota I just love his wanting to be in the mix of everything he will make someone an excellent horse companion.❤ 😊

It was a lot of fun watching all the beautiful foals go to school for their lessons! I was frightened for Becca when Jesse's Boy flipped his hoof so close to her head! Whew! I'm glad that everything went so well after that. Great job! 😊

I know we don’t see you very much since you are usually behind the camera but I always feel your presence - you are the hub to your families wheel. Thank you for all you share with us.
This is JR you have no idea. She is the only woman I ever met that was the same quality of a person as my Grandma Mary. I married her instantly when I found her.

I really enjoyed this video. I’ve been trying to keep up, but I’ve had a hard time. I just love Magnolia! There’s just something about her that soap is so sweet. It was fun to see the little so-called kid jealousy!😂😂. Becca must be a little horse whisperer!❤😊

I like to introduce a halter very early not for training as very young necks are fragile. My philosophy born from experiencr is that having even a young foal accepting a halter is having them accept a halter in case of an emergency. Over the years we once had a foal get out of the pasture and it was almost impossible to get her back as she was not only lost in the woods but had no haler experience.
Just getting a halter and initially standing on a stall with mom and later let the baby be tied up while mom goes out for farrier or grooming. Over the years really having babies that are used to halter from a young age has paid off over years.
