iPhone 13 Pro vs Galaxy S23 Plus Speed Test - In this video, we speed test these two beasts to see which one comes out on top! Share your thoughts, questions, comments, and enjoy the video :)
Well they've got the most optimized OS and optimized chips just made for their models. So stop crying every brand has its own target consumers. Just because it's not ideal for you, doesn't mean it's not ideal for anyone else.
I have to say, the video convinced me to keep my iPhone 13! Loving how Apple optimizes even their two-year old phones to keep up with Android phones from this year. This might not be everyone’s choice but I feel like iPhone’s still better where it counts, and if they could just give us variable-speed animations they’d feel just as snappy opening apps as Samsung. As it is though, I like that Apple prioritizes smoothness over snappiness. I just think, I’m 2023, they could give us both, huh? By the way Nick I do have one tip. Apple has said that iOS works best when you don’t force close apps, and in my experience the speed difference can be anywhere from half a second to three seconds faster when I follow this advice. So for future vids I recommend trying some tests like this with all apps force closed to make the Android fans happy but also some tests with the apps left open in the background to make iPhone fans happy. In my experience, as someone who owns both of these phones shown in this video, the iPhone is faster in every test when I do that. And I don’t know very many ppl who force close all their apps every time they leave them. Anyway just my 2 cents and thx for the vid!
I have 13 pro max and s23 plus. Liking both. Main reason I have trouble switching the sim card to Samsung is I’m invested in the iMessage and ecosystem. Otherwise I love the much brighter display of the s23 plus and the fact that all my apps are organized in alphabetical order on android and overall smoothness is similar between the two

Most high quality systems are closed systems. For obvious reasons. They work better. Think of computer systems such as rocket launching system, radar tracking system, human respiratory system. These systems must be reliable almost always. Part of the reasons why iPhones work better. People don't need a smartphone laptop. They generally need a phone that does other basic computing tasks. But not a PC. People buy a PC for that
@@xShinobiXx My mother got an iPhone a few months ago. During the setup wizard, there was a bug where there was no way to continue. We had to go to the apple store and they had to give us a new phone due to a software bug. You call that optimized?
Interesting comparison. There are a lot of elements that are like comparing apples to oranges. Both have different Sofware and hardware. It will typically come down to how the OS is optimized for the phone. I don't think these results are going to sway an iPhone user to switch or vice versa for an Android user.
Indeed, very interesting comparison. But respectfully, I don't think the aim of the video was necessarily to convince people to switch, just to show the public how much competition there is in the market now. I like iphone as my main device.( I have note 20 for work just to answer calls) XS max as main. Samsung has alot going for it with its innovation, however the only way they will ever put apple to bed in my opinion is if they create there own OS. (Samsung OS maybe) that is smooth and fast. Android is just not there when it comes to apples OS/eco system. Also because the app developers have more work since they have to optimize for so many android phones, where apple its just one brand.

8GB of RAM is no longer enough for power-users to have great RAM management. It is enough for casual users but if like me, you cycle through about 20 apps in your daily workflow, then the 8GB Samsung devices I have used are frustrating. RAM= helps, but it is not as fluid and as smooth as real RAM. I suppose if you are a power-user you will be buying the S23U not the S23+ in any case.

Android fans are running out of reasons to flame iPhones and it is desperate when they use a feature like split-screen that very few use, and those that do probably are less productive. Imagine a split-screen on an iPhone SE or try it on an S23 and have a laugh. It is a gimmick. Sometimes you can do things extra like that but the reality is that it is awkward and painful. I like a larger display so I can increase the font size. A split-screen on an S23 with type would mean a couple of sentences per split screen! You need to try and find something sensible to show why Android is better, something that matters. There are a few, but split-screen is not one.
@@andyH_England I'm Android fan myself, but saying that split screen is some kind of an adventure over iOS is weird. Android has a lot of cool cons and features, but split screen is definitely not one of them
With regard to restarting the phone, could you do that at the end as it is unrealistic that our load times are from a rebooted device. Many of us reboot very rarely. You can still clear the app switchers. The reason I say that is that cache and bandwidth is important in speed, that is based around the ML and AI that will preload cache based on your usage. I doubt it would make much difference in which is faster but relatively they may be quicker and it is more realistic. If you reduce motion on the iPhone and stop animations on the S23U, you will take animation speeds out of the equation, so software preferences will be overridden by actual performance.
