Roomerang is infinitely funnier when EVERYONE is anonymous through out the entire game you only get to judge people based off their answers and how well they're roll playing to their wacky trait
Fun fact: I’m actually the Abby Collins (booloocrew) entry who won a spot…and oof that thing you said was accurate. Yeah it’s a complete guessing game (who the hell would accurately figure out a 10 year old boy was the answer to my question who isn’t living in Columbia, South Carolina?) and yeah, I’d admit my entry was a bit awkward as others probably were. But as a Jackbox super fan, it honestly was amazing to be a part of.
One of the things that isn't talked much is how this is the first mainline game to be localized in a bunch of languages at once (not just German and French in standalone releases) which allows for non-English speakers to actually play the game without needing someone doing the translator job and potentially ruining the game
I love this. I'm Spanish and personally I don't have a lot of problems understanding English. But English education in my country sucks and my friends and family could not enjoy the previous games at the same level as a native English speaker. I tried to play with my group of friends the 9th and 10th game and it's the most fun we had with a Jackbox game by far. Understanding everything from the let go enhances the enjoyment a huge lot.
Roomerang should have had a Ghost system like Trivia Murder Party, where they stay in and could win in the end if they get enough points, but they get a lot less points then those not voted out
To keep junktopia fresh, my group does house rules where for the second round everyone HAS to use the mystery item, and everyone presents for somebody else at random. Gives it a talking point vibe before going back to normal
I like both joke boat and junktopia due to the restrictiveness. I get better ideas when i'm restricted and i've had a lot of fun with junktopia so far (joke boat is a bit worse but i enjoy that too). I can certainly see why they're hated but i like them a lot
My main problem with Quixort is that the other team does nothing. In Poll Mine, you could discuss with the other team to make them pick wrong AND use their thought process to help your team later. But here? You can try to get them to place blocks wrong but it’s quite separated since you can sabotage but not gain any information…
Roomerang is mine and my friends favorite game on the party pack 9, just because the role play aspect, we try our best to stay on character and all of our responses need to align with our roles, so the one that could better put their role on the joke is sometimes better than the joke itself, and we don't care about the score, it's just for the laughter and tge role play, just like a comedic version of RPG, I understand that it's me and my group, but frw things made us laugh more than roomerang
I really wish Jackbox Games would patch the games instead of making people wait and pay for a sequel - a lot of these issues feel like things that could be fixed by just tweaking them rather than needing a complete rethink
@@louie.4047hi i know this comment is from a year ago but i need to point out how stupid of a statement this is. a fundamental change in the game structure is not minor.
I think this would be a good idea, I kinda made my own comment suggesting this (although I had just suggested the game come up with descriptions). In general, I think just having something more to work with than just a single picture with a seemingly-random price tag would be really helpful, and pulling from the other players would be great (and feels in line with Jackbox games - there's been a lot of games, like Tee KO and Joke Boat, that are built by using what others have written in).
I feel like an option for Roomerang could be if elimination did nothing except re-roll your character trait. It could give you a second wind if you get a trait you're better at acting as, while not being a crushing blow.
One problem I have with Fibbage 4 is that if 2 players have the same lie, they'll be 2 seperate options which makes it obvious they're both lied unlike Fibbage 3 where the same lie would be fused so both players got points for guessing it. That's why I prefer 3 over 4.
30:39 I swear, this game has it out for me giving the opponent's super easy prompts and then giving me things that are way harder and even the people I've played with fully admitted their prompts were easier 🤣
RE: Quixort I think you don’t think you put as much stock in the fun of watching the other group as you should. You compare it to Poll Mine where it helps to pay attention, but the fact that you DON’T have to pay attention also has merit. There’s no pressure to know what they’re working on, you get to enjoy the bickering and “I told ya so” remarks back and forth, and the schadenfreude of watching the other team struggle with a tough category while you kick back and smile is quite satisfying. I love watching my friends struggle while my teammates look at each other relieved that we didn’t get THAT prompt. I also enjoy sneaking a glance at a teammate when we both know the other team just messed up. The game opens up to a lot of bickering in the best possible way because we can razz each other back and forth…like “I TOLD YOU that was before this!” I’ve cooled on all these games since I first played them, but I still like them all..minus junktopia. Looking forward to the reviews of 7 and 8 by the way since I just bought them in the last month.
I feel like a way of dealing with the waiting in Quixort could be to have both teams play at once. And instead having a do-over for round three, the teams could pick between a do-over, or a new mini round for bonus points This idea probably needs fleshing out, but I thought it might be an interesting suggestion
actually I think roomerang has different rounds sometimes? Because sometimes I see other prompts...? I think, memory blanking. I personally like it because when you roleplay as Not Yourself it becomes hilarious! especially on party nights which is a long time commitment sometimes hehe. it is a fun time!
Fibbage 4'a fan facts are my favourite question type It's like the VHS ones but ridiculously charming and hilarious, maybe because it feels more personal since it's about someone you can see? Idk
Interesting to see this review coming out now, but I’m not complaining. I haven’t played these games too much yet, but they all seem to range from solid to quite fun, at least from my experience.
i've noticed that people who rank roomerang pretty low don't take the game's advice on roleplaying as another thing or character through name entry ALONGSIDE your job/role. seing weird character-personality combinations or having the mystery of who could be who through the whole game really increases the funny value and keeps you engaged through the whole long runtime. that's how i always interpreted this game- this game has a "nickname" entry for the first time in series history, i don't know how this conclusion isn't universal!
In many of the clips you can see us role-playing by the trait we had. It's "cute" but it doesn't lead to gut-busting laughs from my past games I've played.
I'm really late to commenting on this video but unless I'm missing something, I really fail to see why Junktopia isn't a drawing game. The majority of the PNGs they give you are extremely boring and don't lend well to comedy at all, but I can imagine the game having the potential to be just as funny as Tee-KO or Champ'd Up if the players had to draw the objects first and then have them randomly assigned to each player instead. It wouldn't be particularly hard to change the theming either, I think a group of artisans desperately trying to get their Etsy store to blow up would be a pretty funny setup for a game. Junktopia as it is just feels like one big missed opportunity honestly.
Nonsensory's post vote wait times are fine, ive never noticed since we are all chatting about the prompt we just saw and why people voted for what things anyway.
The worst part about games that arent fast paced enough is that i know no one willing to stay for it, they get mad and just leave, and i cant have somone leave so i just have to end the game and ruin it for the rest of the people
I played this pack with some friends, and I was the only one who didn’t play the demo with them. And they said that non-sensory was the worst thing and now I’m sad I never got to play it.
The only reason to write an answer that could fit both is so that some people might pick it for one side and some might pick it for the other. But if you had a really great answer for one side that you're sure people will pick, why wouldn't you just pick to make it for one (Other than the fact you're not supposed to)
Silok I've always appreciated you has a RUclipsr ya really say your honest opinion on the game or topic and it's genuinely fun to watch I know ya get a lot of flak about it but I appreciate it keep up the good work 👍

This is probably an unpopular opinion but I completely disagree on Fibbage 4 being an unnecessary sequel. If anything, Drawful: Animate may be just that. All it adds is just one frame to draw and one more color. Also "Friend Mode" too I guess but nobody plays that. The visuals are different too I guess, but honestly the aesthetic of Drawful 2 combines much more with the vibe of the game. So it's difficult to say that the Animate aesthetic is "better" in this case. Fibbage 4 is more Fibbage, yes. But the additional new rounds and the amazing final round are much more game changer than anything Drawful: Animate did. And, as you mentioned, the aesthetic is quite possibly the best in the series. For those people whose primary language isn't English, you can imagine just how much more difficult it is to play this game. Good video nonetheless. Agreed with pretty much everything else you said.
the artist in me absolutely loves drawful animate (especially how you can animate your own little icon) but I can understand how some people don't like it
@@krubbington That's the thing. When there's a sequel but some people prefer to play the previous game I think you can say it's not a really good sequel.
Ok quixort is both my least favorite and favorite game I got to play in pack 9 so far. I’m not a trivia fan but the time I played I somehow managed to convince everyone to side against me. They did pretty well up to the last round, where I was stuck against a horrible prompt and the mystery. Then the game gave me a prompt I knew like the back of my hand so they rage quit on me. Never playing it again because it’s slow and I hate trivia but that experience will stay with me.
I really like pack 9 but my only problem with it is the pacing of every games. I guess Fibbage 4 doesnt really have that problem but still. I especially hate how LONG Roomerang is. Why is round 3 as long as the other rounds when its called "quicky". It honestly could have been shorter. Even Monster Seeking Monster has 6 rounds and feels more fast paced
Honestly, me and a friend didn’t like playing fibbage 3 that much, but fibbage four was so fun that we played it like 4 times when it came out! I think the questions, even tho you can’t tell on the surface, are better in general and just more fun
Honestly, Junktopia reminds me of an old video from years ago by JelloApocalypse, where they found crappy/bootleg items on Amazon to show to each other in a "The Price is Right" type of format. I think that video partly worked better because they were able to go out and search for an item that they knew they could riff on and make up stuff about, rather than Junktopia where it seems like you're just given some random pictures with no context and have to go from there. Being able to search a large catalog might be a bit too hard to manage with Junktopia, but perhaps some guidance from the game about the items themselves actually are, like some silly fake descriptions a la Pikmin's treasures, could help to give players something to work off of rather than just having completely free text and no idea what to put in for it.
I love fibbage, but I feel like the new looks aren't as good as 3. I think they could've selected another game, also considering we never got any sequels of any game out of packs 1,2 and 3. Also the removing of the final round in eby is pretty sad, although it's mistakes, it wasn't that bad in my friend group. Also some minor things: this pack has 2 extra games, I miss the team naming stuff of poll mine and finally, Noncensory base idea is the same as Wavelength
I think making new Fibbage games is just to make new trivia questions. Every game only has a limited number of questions (though it's a metric shit ton of them), and you can still get repeats so maybe the new games are their way of preventing you from getting bored by getting the same.questions That said All About You had infinite replayability so
Quixort is a little stupid becase you could get an easier theme than your opponents. Also it's basically unplayable half of the time if you are not from the USA and/or native English speakers because of how many themes will be TOTALLY unknown to the players. In a normal trivia game if the subject matter is unknown too bad, but you still have the next question. In this game you are stuck with that theme until you are completely done sorting it.
With Jackbox 1-5 being in a single bundle, I cant wait for Jackbox 10 to release. I'd be able to pick up the rest of the games for a heavily reduced price as long as the Jackbox team actually make a bundle for 6-10...
37:57 My group hated Job Job. We couldn’t tolerate it long enough to finish one session. The method of submitting answers was tedious and only led to nonsensical bullshit submissions, due to them being quite literally cobbled together assortments of words.
@@DToTheB The game makes it hard to be funny. We’ve had tons of fun with Quiplash, since it doesn’t severely limit what you can submit like what Job Job does. Job Job is basically just Quiplash but with a crippling handicap. Patently Stupid is still the best and funniest Jackbox game imo (as long as the group does their own presentations). Maybe Job Job is better with more people? That would give you more word choices so that you can submit better answers.
Despite Chicken Run being made by the team that worked on Wallace and Gromit, Chicken Run specifically was produced and distributed by DreamWorks which is an American company. In fact the movies first premiere WAS in America.
I think it's specifically Enough About You that doesn't merge. The main game even has special voice clips for when many people say the same thing. Anyway, yeah it's a bug and I hope it gets fixed
Was I the only one who desperately disliked Quixort? It's not *bad*, but it's really boring. It all lies on if you get good prompts. On a round, me and my friends, who only listen to J-Pop, got a prompt about Beyonce, Jay-Z, and Hemingway. We were all stuck confused guessing randomly.
9:27 Roomerang doesn’t look like anymore :( It looked liked like that from October 20, 2022 - December 15, 2022 and I didn’t play in a long time on camera
I feel like Roomarang is an improved version of Role models. Both are better in person, but Roomarang is better streaming wise whilst Role models needs to be played with people that you know.
But role models is also more fun, more solid, and much easier to understand than the mess that is Roomerang and I’d argue that having more personal Jackbox games isn’t a bad idea
The new fibbage final round seems really cool, I only own pack 7 right now, but fibbage 4 seems like it alone makes 9 a contender to be the 2nd one I buy (but if anyone wants to tell me which other one to buy, I'm open to suggestions lol)
I suggest Jackbox box party starter. It’s cheaper but comes with only three games but they are the best in the series. (Quiplash 3, tee KO, and trivia murder party 2.
@@CJT2 sounds good, I already own 7 so I have quiplash 3 but I've always wanted to play tee ko and trivia murder party so I'll be sure to check it out! Thanks for the recommendation
Wait, didn’t this video come out like a few weeks ago? Is this Deja Vu, a glitch in the matrix? The Mandela affect? Why are we here, just to suffer, but standing here I realize, I’m just like you.

*did silokhawk just skipped to 9?*
Well It’s A Jackbox Video So YEAAAAAAA.
*Now he’s only missing 7 and 8 so epic.*
15:33 That’s not irony.
I think making new Fibbage games is just to make new trivia questions. Every game only has a limited number of questions (though it's a metric shit ton of them), and you can still get repeats so maybe the new games are their way of preventing you from getting bored by getting the same.questions
That said All About You had infinite replayability so
I have barely played these games but I’m commenting to help the algorithm
Quixort is a little stupid becase you could get an easier theme than your opponents.
Also it's basically unplayable half of the time if you are not from the USA and/or native English speakers because of how many themes will be TOTALLY unknown to the players.
In a normal trivia game if the subject matter is unknown too bad, but you still have the next question.
In this game you are stuck with that theme until you are completely done sorting it.
Nobody tell Silok he forgot to make the videos on Pack 7 and 8
18:17 I played a game where someone got 0 votes. Not kidding.
roomerang is fun if your in like a campaign with them and you play them as the characters
With Jackbox 1-5 being in a single bundle, I cant wait for Jackbox 10 to release.
I'd be able to pick up the rest of the games for a heavily reduced price as long as the Jackbox team actually make a bundle for 6-10...
Good job being trendy silok
New Super Silokhawk?
37:57 My group hated Job Job. We couldn’t tolerate it long enough to finish one session. The method of submitting answers was tedious and only led to nonsensical bullshit submissions, due to them being quite literally cobbled together assortments of words.
Your group clearly just isn't funny smh
@@DToTheB The game makes it hard to be funny. We’ve had tons of fun with Quiplash, since it doesn’t severely limit what you can submit like what Job Job does. Job Job is basically just Quiplash but with a crippling handicap.
Patently Stupid is still the best and funniest Jackbox game imo (as long as the group does their own presentations).
Maybe Job Job is better with more people? That would give you more word choices so that you can submit better answers.
Fibbage I feel gets new games so they can have updated wacky prompts for recent events
To be fair for the fibbage pick, it's also the first party pack to be translated internationally, so the only one non English speaking player can play
The reason why chicken little was a trash answer is because it specified US movies while Chicken Run is British
Despite Chicken Run being made by the team that worked on Wallace and Gromit, Chicken Run specifically was produced and distributed by DreamWorks which is an American company. In fact the movies first premiere WAS in America.
I have actually seen fibbage 4 combine same lies like previous entries! I'm unsure why they didn't merge for you, perhaps report it as a bug?
I think it's specifically Enough About You that doesn't merge. The main game even has special voice clips for when many people say the same thing. Anyway, yeah it's a bug and I hope it gets fixed
The jack box party pack 6 - last video
The jack box party pack 9 - this video
I see what you did, SilokHawk
Was I the only one who desperately disliked Quixort? It's not *bad*, but it's really boring. It all lies on if you get good prompts. On a round, me and my friends, who only listen to J-Pop, got a prompt about Beyonce, Jay-Z, and Hemingway. We were all stuck confused guessing randomly.
What if junktopia and bididoits combined into one game
What happened to the reviews for Party Packs 7 and 8?
Nonsensory is very heavily influenced by mindwave so I wouldn't call it "original"
I’m definitely getting 9 because of Cookie Masterson
Wow subtitles after 7 years they added it.
9:27 Roomerang doesn’t look like anymore :( It looked liked like that from October 20, 2022 - December 15, 2022 and I didn’t play in a long time on camera
Even after watching this video I still don't know how to play Roomerang
play by your selected personality and stay in character based on what it asks you
Wasn't sure about this pack until you got to nonsensary
Roomerang could have elimanated people by making them part of the audience.
Can't Believe He Skipped 7 and 8
Good video
Get 3 or 2 instead.
I'm in this one :)
also
IM INSANE!!!!
Hey i mean average game of monster seeking monsters is kind of long but it depends
Wait, didn’t this video come out like a few weeks ago? Is this Deja Vu, a glitch in the matrix? The Mandela affect? Why are we here, just to suffer, but standing here I realize, I’m just like you.
I would like to say that SHY GaY has cat ears
Review number 6, then reviewed 9 lol
I think something was wrong with your fibbage 4 because when I played it awnsers combined and we all had 2 questions in enough about you but maybe that'd because we had 4 players
