A soldier (Dan Stevens) introduces himself to the Peterson family, claiming to be a friend of their son who died in action. After the young man is welcomed into their home, a series of accidental deaths seem to be connected to his presence.

The way he catches the wrist swinging a bottle at his head, full strength, and simply takes the bottle from the guy's hand and busts it over his forehead...
He's transformation from Downtown Abbey to this baffles me. He's so hot. And they accent is good.
The soundtrack is amazing in this film.

It's by the film's original composer Steve Moore. The only version of it on YT I can find it is titled "The Guest (2014) - Ending Music by Steve Moore".
He's so chill and nice in real life.
The problem with calling this a bar fight, is that the term fight implies that the jocks had a chance in hell of winning.

fictitiously I've seen this movie a couple times, and it's flawless.
This movie was incredible! For the people who have not seen this, please check it out. I find it pretty underrated. Although some may not agree, this is definitely in my top favorite movies list. Dan Stevens did an amazing acting job as well. Not to mention the fantastic soundtrack.

Loved this movie except for the climax which I thought was a little goofy compared to the rest of the film, though the last 5 minutes were good... 'I'm proud of you' that was funny.
I don't want to spoil the movie, so I'll just say things would have gone just fine if one thing hadn't happened.

He’s 35 and Daniel Greg will be playing Bond again so by the time a new one is needed he’ll be older.

I think this film was his big break into Hollywood. It may not have been a hit, but soon after this was released, his career exploded. In less than a year, he was filming "Beauty and the Beast", quickly preceded by "Legion". Both Bill Condon and Noah Hawley said his performance in the "The Guest" was a major factor in them hiring him. Anyone seeing this, after watching him in "Downton Abbey", would be gobsmacked at his acting range. A jaw-dropping talent.

What a tough guy that one guy is. Upon seeing his buddies get laid out, he runs away from the guy who hurt his friends and attacks the smaller kid. At least the pansy in blue went after the right guy
