I would add the fact that Captain America (Sam) hasn't been seen on scene since 2021, so the hype for him kinda went down. Plus the fact that Peggy Carter was damn near Caption America with What If getting 3 seasons before Sam got his own movie. Also also, them adding Daredevil and or Matt to No way home, she hulk, and echo built the hype up for Born Again.
Bro I’m so hyped for Daredevil. Seeing Kingpin and Punisher back is gonna be awesome. “There’s one thing you can’t see, you’re just one bad day away from being me!” Captain America seems it’s going to be decent. I think Sam will get a solid arc of realising he isn’t Steve Roger’s. However from the looks of the trailer it seems to not know whether it’s a serious action thriller like the Winter Soldier or an over the top explosion fest.
It's because there's been no bad rumors for Daredevil Born Again. And they did a creative overhaul to guarantee it to be good. But for Cap 4 there were lots of rumors trying to drag it down that also false by the way. Like the big budget, the test screenings, the several reshoots, and etc. All to try and paint that in a bad light.

Which might work in its favor like Winter Soldier, no one had high expectations for that movie including me and it’s the best MCU FILM that only made $714 Million dollars world wide!!! This film can totally do the same numbers.
With Daredevil they read the bad scripts and went “this isn’t good, we need to fix it”. With Brave New World, they read the “bad script” and decided to fix the broken script instead of starting over. Had they re-written the entire script to make it better, maybe we won’t be having the same skepticism from Captain America.
Yeah they did a complete overhaul and they got the people who wrote the Netflix version to rewrite the MCU version so it's more in line. The Netflix one was received well, so the people from that are fixing it. FATWS wasn't received that well, Cap4 has the same writers and they're also rewriting over what wasn't working
@ Exactly they actually had decent footage from 6 episodes they kept. After the overhaul, the first episode was scrapped, with a brand new pilot, 2 brand new episodes at the end of the season, and extra footage shot and edited into what was shot before. Born Again always had more going for it, but originally the Netflix continuity wasn’t going to be referenced or used until after the strikes.
I think part of it from general audiences might have to do with Sam Wilson. I always thought most normal people liked him becoming Cap, but my dad the other day told me he wasn't happy about that decision, which is interesting to me.
Daredevil is a much more beloved character than Sam Wilson. 3 seasons of a show + Defenders have given him so much more time and development for fans to become much more attached to him as opposed to Sam who has mostly been a supporting character popping up here and there, other than in 6 episodes of his own show (which wasn’t widely beloved like Daredevil was).
I think the answer is very simple. People like the daredevil show, and the trailer seems to be more of what they like. On the other hand, a lot of people didn't care for the Falcon and the winter soldier show, and a few don't like Sam as Captain America, so it's obvious why there's less excitement for that
I’m hyped for daredevil, but still afraid because i just cannot see disney recreating netflix charming .. The show was perfect at every level Color grading, cinematoghraphy, action scenes, directing.
It's pretty simple, with Daredevil there were specific details about the show that were announced and have been confirmed to have changed (ex: certain characters being brought back) but with Captain America there's been like no specifics. "It wasn't working so we reworked the movie." doesn't tell us anything and the old & new trailers look basically the same to the point where it doesn't even feel like a rework happened. There is no obvious improvement or difference so why would people feel more hopeful for the movie? Personally I'm looking forward to Captain America 4 but none of that is from the confirmed reworks, I just like Sam as a character & want to see where his story goes...and also I'm still surprised they actually got Harrison Ford as Red Hulk. lol
It’s because Daredevil’s writers understood the problems and addressed them properly. Meanwhile, Brave New World, it’s failing on test screenings even after like eight reshoots or smth. Even Seth Rollins himself said he does not want his fans to waste their time with the movie. And if that’s the case, it’s could potentially go down as the worst Captain America ever.
One project had a stronger base to work off of than the other Many people love Daredevil while Sam Wilson as Captain America will always be a contentious topic
I am cautiously optimistic for Born Again. It's something I want to see and I hope it works once it is out. They stepped back, got the right people, and got to work. I am not watching Captain America 4. Sam, as Cap, or even still as Falcon, deserves better than the film being made for him with its premise, creative team, and so for. Same with Red Hulk and Leader who are here too late to care about. And I just do not trust Marvel to handle more blatant political thrillers or commentary after the last few times they did it, Sam included. They have taken my favorite trilogy in the MCU and lost my trust, and therefore my wallet.
I think with Captain America 4..... People can't see Anthony Mackie in that role he doesn't feel like captain America, even though he's perfectly good as Sam Wilson hes not Chris Evans as Cap and people can't get past it
The difference in excitement (from other people, I'm skeptical of both at this point) is the shows they came from. People loved the Netflix Daredevil show, so they want more of that. We already have a pretty good idea of what a successful Daredevil can look like. I'm still skeptical because I feel like Disney is going to go in a sillier direction with it (see Daredevil in She-Hulk or Fisk in Hawkeye) than I would like. Meanwhile, Cap4 is relying on Falcon and the Winter Soldier as it's only big point of comparison, and that show had a more mixed reception. Regardless of how you felt about it, it's pretty clear it at least wasn't the homerun that Daredevil was.
Cause there's a lot more riding on Daredevil and he's just more beloved than Sam's Captain America. If Daredevil succeeds we can probably expect to have the rest of the Netflix shows to get new projects
Both had issues but one was corrected by bringing in creators from the original universe, cast members from the original show and giving audiences what they wanted by connecting it to the original show. It felt like an overhaul actually trying to fix things. Cap 4 feels like an overhaul not done by creatives but by the studio, and recent marvel movies have shown this doesn’t work out, plus the creatives behind this project didn’t do great on their last MCU project
I think a factor is that Daredevil hasn’t been around since the Netflix show (besides his cameos) so he isn’t as strongly associated with the current negative state of the MCU to the same degree that Captain America BNW is
I honestly think people just can’t separate Sam/Falcon and the Captain America persona. Captain America 4 looks to be going in a very different direction from the Steve Rogers story while Daredevil looks like they are sticking close to the show, that and most people aren’t familiar enough with MCU Daredevil to complain as much as Captain America (who along with Iron Man are the two main leads).
I will say I am cautiosly optimistic for both, so I disagree eith the statement in the question, but my answer is simple: Daredevil was overhauled and reworked because *we* didnt like it. Captain America was reworked because it didnt work in the first time.
I’m *cautiously* excited for Daredevil, because while the creators haven’t let us down yet, Marvel (Disney really) has this incredible ability to take talented creators (E.g. Taika Waititi, Sam Raimi, Rian Johnson) and doing so many things outside of what the creator envisioned that it creates a muddled and lazy product. Meanwhile with Brave New World, Marvel has already fumbled with Falcon and the Winter Soldier and really none of the MCU movies that have set up this more spy-thriller aspect of the universe have been any noteworthy. The only things I even have hope for with Marvel are Daredevil and the Fantastic Four.

The online hate and negativity towards Brave New Word is absolutely sickening because no one is calling it out what it is which is people being racists not wanting to accept a black man as Captain America.
I feel like the problem with This movie is that basically it’s just grabbing a bunch of side characters and turning them into the main show. In this movie you don’t get a main character you get a secondary version of that main character. A new version of captain America, a new version of falcon, a new version of general Ross. While daredevil is the real thing no buts through and through you have the kingpin, the punisher, the bullseye, The Daredevil.

The test screenings cannot also be trusted either since quantumania test positive in all of them and then upon release it did really bad amongst many people.
