- I tested my sister's knowledge of the Sonic lore by giving her a mix of real and fake Sonic characters and seeing if she could tell which one's were real or fake. This video features Sonic OCs made by fans that were submitted to me in a contest! Thanks everyone for the help!

I think in the comics, Charmy is actually 16. Eggman did something to him that reverted his mental state to that of an eight year old.

When it comes to defending Saffron she was waiting for Charmy coming to age and Charmy was a teenager in the early comics, not to mention she was made by Ken Penders who often made characters just to ship with main characters...he wasn't a great writer.

There are other MUCH more explicitly pedo takes and moments written by Penders, Saffron and Charmy barely triggers the radar in comparison.
Also, when Penders learned that Charmy was 6, he decided to have him suffer head trauma so he ACTED like a 6-year-old. In the body of a 16-year-old bee.

13:41 because of a mistake in the american knuckles chaotix manual, charmy was thought to be 16, and thus was introduced to the comics as a 16 year old. it didn't take until later for them to realize he's actually 6, and then it took them longer to finally "retcon" it by...giving him severe brain damage so he acts like a 6 year old. yeah, that doesn't sit too well with me either

Yep, he's supposed to be the Anti-Sonic from an Anti-Universe where all of the characters are reversed. I have no idea why so many people bitch about him looking like Sonic when that's the god damn idea. At least there's an in-universe explanation with him, we will most likely never know why Classic Amy and Shadow look this much like Sonic or why Zooey looks like a vagina'd version of Tails. What else is Anti-Sonic even supposed to look like? Big the Cat with wings? But I guess people don't actually want to read up on these characters when they can just mock the "cringeyness" of Sonic characters right away while ignoring all the fantastic designs that were in the Archie Comics as well.

My brain honestly surprised me when they got to the lion (you could not pay me to remember his goddamn name.)
My initial answer was "fake" but then she said "sonic underground" and I was like: "Oh F***ING HELL! HE'S REAL!" I hated his design so much, as a child, that my brain literally blacked him out from my memory until now. Out of all the character designs in underground, I honestly feel his was one of the worst.

I was at an arcade a few weeks ago, and they had a Sega Sonic Arcade cabinet, with Sonic, Ray and Mighty so I can confirm that he is real and the game exists
You know, I honestly think this kind of challenge is more interesting to play at home than the Pokemon version. Since there's a LOT of weird characters from the comics/cartoons.... Hell, I got a few of these wrong. Saffron the Bee. I was SURE that was an OC.... Nope, it was all too real.
The Merhog was another one that tripped me up. My gut told me it was real.... But, I then was like "nah, it's fake".... And alas, I should have went with my gut feeling.
The funniest thing too is. You could totally do a sequel to this. Since there are more ludicrous characters you could pull from. (I won't say any here, since if you ever DO another one of these. It would kind of give away which ones are real.)

A side note: Scourge is Mirror Sonic. vbasicly during a time Ovi Kintobor wasnt turned evil, and sonic became evil.
Sinbad Naiver his super form lasts longer and is even more powerful, but unlike sonics boost on turning back scourge has the opposite.
