it was supposed to get a mobility buff that would've made it easily reach its top speed of 40 on even medium terrain, but they either forgot or pulled it last minute, so sad
i strongly recommend using stock turret on this and 100mm gun. You can actually peak and play hull down with that turret and you have very good standard pen and gun handling.

Don´t know if i´m the only one about this tank but i think its better with the small gun and the stock turret.. you have more gun depression, its way harder to pen and the small gun is more accurate ^^
I am new to AMX 65t. Fully upgraded. Except the gun, the survivability of this tank is horrible. Basically it can't really side scrap, hull down as proper as other tier 8 HT. It feels more like a sluggish paper Medium Tank with good guns.

Hey Skill your brain explodes with that low-roll of 330...mines already exploded and you can find bits on the other side of the world!! RNG has been worst and worst lately!! I feel you have 100k more luck than me in WoT! I feel most YTers have this crazy RNG luck with us common guys/girls don't have! So feel lucky....
This Amx was better, when WG add this tanak for first time at test server it has 311mm penetration on gold. Or maybe a little less but still could penetrate IS-3 in turret everywhere.
Skillman, In the hands of purple players playing bad tanks many will be convinced to play difficult tanks, be unnecessarily cremated, mortified and mocked by their mothers for being so stupid and not knowing the obvious: average weenies play like muppits and are the preferred food of the better players. I’ve learned my lessons. I will not ever play the AMX 65 toilet again.
I just ground through it, and it is still painful for a more average player like me. The best that can be said is that it is just tolerable enough that it can be ground, rather than free XP'd. But I'll never play it again.
Just to say I think they overbuffed accuracy on this craptank. Was facing one in T28 yesterday and he managed to snipe my cupolas without fail each shot.

I came back here to say I finally unlocked the AMX 65T and I absolutely hate it. Undoubtedly the worst tier 8 heavy I've ever played. It has no armor, no view range, no mobility, and the 120mm has really poor pen for 2022. You get hyperfocused because you're just an XP pinata and cannot defend yourself, and the enemy always seems to know it. currently sitting on about a 30% WR in this tank. For context, I'm a 52% overall player, so I'm not a _bad_ player

I bought it yesterday and played 15 games, only one game had T7's, IT was either all 8's or T9 and 10 matches. I was like wtf being stock.

use the first turret, the same as on amx m4 49
I prefer that one, too. Top turret is just a big HIT ME HERE target. 🎯

all they have to do now is to change the top turret to a better looking one, because the curent is making my eyes water 😩
Makes sense if it still sucks, makes you spend free XP or currency to get to tier 9 faster.
