Skill is playing versus total bots, i have such a game maybe once for 100 battles, ppl most of the times play hulldown take best positions etc, in this video ppl or maybe bots encounter skill with the side of the tank, its laughable

Still impressive that for a tank that has pretty much an apartment block as a cupola the viewrange is only 380m.
While mighty bz 176 has just a slit but has equal viewrange.

I was guilty of that too, blame the monetisation model not the player. I mean, I went into WoT full free to play, I did every other mission with honours but I was always short on credits, so had to do arty missions as well. Just couldn't turn down couple of millions of credits, trained crew members, premium time, directives, consumables, garage slots, equipment etc. Do you know how long does it take to grind 1 million credits without any premium time? Even with a T8 premium tank it takes a lot of time, and when you don't have a lot of time to play the game to begin with you don't want to play the same tank over and over again. Not to mention that acquiring a T8 premium through a marathon most of the time is way too time consuming for someone who has a life besides WoT. F2P WoT economy is just brutal. Haven't played in a couple of years though, so maybe now it's better.
The gun is actually decent. Also alpha, penetration and ammo velocity values are totally fine. Armor is made out of cheese, you get some lucky bounces every now and then but you can't rely on it at all. Started playing with it yesterday and after 50 battles im at 59% winrate and 3 ace tankers, which is nice for me. My last 1k battles is 53% so i'm performing above my average. Got the 1st mark and 2nd mark should come without too much struggle. I was a bit afraid when starting because everyone always say this is the worst tank in the game but so far its been smooth sailing. I run hardening, rammer and stabs...
Everyone who tries deserves second chance, off the bled list for him, in my opinion!
Holy crap skill, the gun actually looks nice. Very good accuracy, acceptable gun handling, very very good DPM for a T8 400 alpha HT gun!

Idk,the 400 gun is actually very good on this tank. It just suffers a lot when you have to rely on the armour. As a support heavy I don't think it's that bad at all
I remember playing the AMX 65t back in the day (got Ace Tanker and 1 MoE on it...surprisingly) before any buff what so ever. I think it's could be compared to the Tiger 1 if that got pushed to tier 8 (though given a better version of the Tiger 2's gun...I say, and then that 3rd game happened. Oh well.). So, no armour to really speak of in relation to the kinds of pen values it runs up against, and little ability to angle the armour to try to maximize what little it has (or, had, I guess, though the pike-nose is always kind of meh). I exclusively used the 100mm gun, because you get less Alpha, but but gain better pen, better rate of fire, and better accuracy. That said, the 120mm gun now looks like very nice alternative. In conclusion, based on what I've seen in this video, I don't really see a reason to revise my assessment.
That poor T-34-2 in the second game though, using the 100mm gun... down right criminal what WG did to the Chinese mediums...
OK but still i prefer the standard turret. makes it very respectable hull down.
WG only gave it 15mm additional armor and still doesn’t equal the effective armor WG said it does.
FV 4502a was also supposed to get its front upper hull buffed to 260mm effective armor along with the turret but only got the turret. AT15 never even got it’s armor buff behind the gun mantlet either.
Yeah, I was expecting that buff on VK tier 8 but it never arrived. It has the same hull as Tiger 2 and it doesn't make sense, because Tiger 2 doesn't have 260mm of armor anywhere.
VK front 260 mm effective only meant to be applied at the connection of lower and upper plate.

Kind of. First turret has better overall armour and slightly smaller cupola, but the cupola is made of cardboard and can be penned by high caliber HE, and you can't mount the big gun on it. Second turret is overall softer, but cupolas, while bigger, are better armoured so it's better for bullying lower tier tanks, and you get the big gun.
I remember in one of your vids u were punishing some enemy playing Amx 65t and his username was WorkOfArt or something like that, i feel like he made that acc purely to play such "tanks"
You know some WG employee will see your title and the amx will get nerfed, because he won't watch the video.

Not everyone plays arty to be toxic. Some of us have troubles with driving tanks around for a couple of hours. Sorry but my arthritis prevents me from playing real tanks regularly. I still like to enjoy the game, so yes, I play a lot of arty. I would much rather have the skill and endurance to drive real tanks but arty keeps me in the game so to speak.
Been waiting for this 1, been grinding the 65t very slowly for a long time... Then after the buffs ive been enjoying this and only need the top gun now

Good job skilllll, now WG going to nerf it again 😂. Enjoyed it before the 2nd nerf, very challenging to make work but any game over 2k damage is a winner in this tank IMO. Never was a good tank but playable before the last nerf. Why WG doesn’t pick 2 CC’s from each server to recommend changes to the game (nerfs, buffs, maps, etc…) I’ll never know since they don’t have a clue about this game I’ll never know.

the biggest joke in this tank are ground resistances like it have worst in whole game while it have max 35/h and 0 armor
They buffed ground resistances a while back on test, but decided the AMX 65t being mobile was too OP and reverted them.
grinding this tank is almost unbearable for me atm, you cant peek because the cupola(s) show before your gun wether you are going over a ridgeline or around a corner, you cant sidescrape because of the pike nose and the gun is fine i guess but you cant snipe due to (?) poor viewrange, bad camo and mediocre accuracy and garbage premium ammo on both good guns (263 on the 100 and 252 on the 120). for context the tornvagn has 248 STANDARD pen. if wg makes the first turret the second one and gives it the better view range and dpm then is would be a fine tank, basically a liberte with a pike nose and it would be fine

I recently started playing this, because the ARL 44 just appeared in my tech tree and every tank after that until the AMX M4 54 were discounted by -48% and Tier IX and X at -28% exp.

Nothing good about this tank, but the gun depression and accuracy. The third engine doesn't make much of a difference, the second turret has no added armor on top of which your extremely penetrable cupola gets doubled in size and it even just looks ugly. It's big, it's slow, the armor is not worth shit, because your turret is so easy to penetrate so why give a shit about the 115mm pike nose ? Sidescraping sucks, too.
I converted 180,000exp and I've already gotten the tracks and the second gun with free experience and jesus christ, the urge to throw all my free exp to just get the AMX M4 51 for 110,741...

I like this tank, it's easy to play - gun is one of the best of 8 Tier Heavys; i have so much bigger problems with M-III-Y with 240 alpha gun (maybe much bigger alpha has so big meaning)?

You have to overcome, suffer and shake on it.
Having exchanged it for the IS 702 II (122) or any other HT you start to rejoice, relax and enjoy.
On a stationary AMX even with the gun fully aimed there is a 50% chance to hit.
On the IS without perks at full speed you can hit small LT from a turn at 400 meters - easily.

WG, just for information, if you are so into buffing French heavies, you should really think about BUFFING the Lorraine 50t also. If, we used are so hardly earned 18 tokens, at least give us a tank which is worth it. No big deal, just buff the DPM, the aim time and the premium penetration. At its current state, that tank is totally unplayable. Thank you!

I like heavies, I collect them. And do we really care about stats? We all know how stats are looking on paper, and how's it feels in the reality. Do not focus on stats, focus on the enjoyment of the gameplay. Lorraine has some good things, but unfortunately the bad ones are outweighing them, which effects the overall enjoyment. Luckily it can be refined and hopefully one day it will be. As we were discussing French heavies, I think Lorraine deserves also a bit from that attention.

his max speed is only 22 km/h, even the maus can do better on the mobility !!!
The upper plate is 100mm, so against tier 9 and especiallly tier X, the amx65 t is one of worst in armor.
How u can say this tank need a nerf, when u go at 18 km/h every time, and when tho ennemies shoot at your uppler plate like butter !!
