I bet this controller won't work properly with Super Mario Sunshine (via Super Mario 3D All-Stars), because both A and B are to jump on a Switch controller normally, when B should be to dive and pick things up.
You're probably right. I've not played Sunshine all that much so didn't use it as a comparison.
