@@JanRonandArthur I live in zone five and already started wearing my non-itch thin merino wool socks! In the garden I wear an old pair of waterproof leather bootees and that does the trick! ( Also I guess Laura is careful within her toes around heavy equipment! )
We are 6a here. Same as Laura but we are in a snow belt of the Lakes. We are wearing woollen socks already and wellies and are thinking of warm boots. I get concerned about her old age. She is conscientious about repetitive motions. I wish we could impress upon her when she is 60, she might wish she had worn more supportive shoes while gardening.
I truly appreciate the sacrifice you and Aaron put together to make your garden better and beautiful and sharing it with us.even through the rain. 🌧️ there’s that saying that goes, “If you wait for perfect conditions, you will never get anything done”. That’s true dedication . 💪 ❤ 🪴

May I just say that this video was amazingly filmed!!! I can't believe all the camera work that was done!!! The angles from earth to sky were amazing and made this almost documentary like and I absolutely love and appreciate it!!! And then with trees being my favorite thing ever this was one of my favorite videos!!! So thank you for all the work that went into this from conception to editing it was a treat to watch!!!

I agree with Aaron-the pinchers are a great idea. I would imagine that they would also be useful moving other heavy things around. In the years to come, they would save your back. :)

I remember crying the day the gravel was put in around the Hartley and it just keeps getting better with the pathways and brick linings and benches. Well this is my idea of a perfect date! I actually had butterflies in my stomach at the anticipation of what you'd bring home. The video sequences are EPIC, I'm still wondering how Aaron can drive the truck and piolot the drone at the same time. Truly, Aaron, your skills have reached new heights with this one! So nice to see you both in your element of planting a forest and recording it all simultaneously. Award winning video of the year, hands down!

Oh. My. Goodness!!.... I don't know about all of you out there in Garden Answer Fans land, but I have absolutely NOTHING like Jayker's anywhere near me. I would have been so thrilled to just have a look-see around the place, but that drone view with the music...that was just incredibly wonderful to watch (more than once...lol). Did anyone else feel a great sense of being welcomed along for the trip? Great filming!! It might be my new happy-place video for a while. PS--Laura....go back for that Hawthorne before it's too late!
Loved the drone footage. Y'all should get some large shade cloth to to cover trees in transport. It always helps to prevent excessive wind burn. You can order in custom lengths.

Wow! I hope you talk about the drone shots, how you got those perspectives. I just imagined this little lone drone following the two of you down the road. Those Hollywood junipers had such an unusual branch structure. I am sure I can find a place in my garden for some like that.😃 Though I think the Vanderwolf pines are my favorite. They have such a teddy bear appearance. I am so enjoying each new addition of large trees. You home will be glorious in the coming years.
