- The Supremacy has got a new and very big update, 224 new weapons, these are all its weapons and now it can get more damage. In fact all the ships will be a bit more resistant but the Super Star Destroyers will note the update more.

I have this mod quite a while now and I have to say, I really love it. I especially like the AT-AHT (the 6-legged AT-AT-ish walker) nice to see people are still sharing and still updating their mods on an over 10yr old game.

Fun to watch battle and the update makes the Supremacy a lot more movie like in terms of fire power.
Love the SSD updates, now they feel more like Capital Ships.
I feel that the wing shape of the Supremacy is much more effective for such a huge ship. it means you can bring all those weapons to bear in the forward arc, have much more engine banks compared to a standard SSD that is forced to close to broadside. this is much more an artillery ship than a brawler.
@@JeanLucCaptain Yeah but you also have a gigantic blind spot in the rear. If outflanked and unsupported this ship should be fairly easy to defeat.
@@oceanbytez847 like I said it's better at range which makes sense for such a monstrous ship anyways. And as it's a mobile city ship it's going to have PLENTY of escort.

Because they don't need to. That was a desperate, last-resort move. Here, they had a full fleet; the Viscount took care of it easily (a little too easily, I might add).
@@darthsolani No............ Using that Logic justifies having whole fleets. But using the Last Jedi Logic all you need is one ship and aim it right. Go to HyperSpace and you win.

@@romangeneral23 The Hyperspace assault was a suicide run, as you know. It makes NO sense to use it UNLESS your fleet has been destroyed, or if you have no other alternative (and in this video, there are a PLETHORA of alternative and more beneficial strategies to use).
You don't win in the Hyperspace Assault. You die. Strategically, It's the in-space version of kamikaze tactics, a complete waste of resources unless those resources have no other use (such as, what do you know, the Hyperspace Assault scene in TLJ!)
And as for that completely unrelated last bit, a quote from Harry Potter: "[Star Wars] will only be gone when those who are faithful are also gone."
It's ironic, really. TLJ is the most hated movie (nobody hates Star Wars more than a Star Wars fan!), but its scenes were the most ironclad in terms of loopholes and logic. Feel free to complain about anything from TLJ (ballistic trajectories in space, whine about Rey being a Mary Sue), I'll gladly debunk why TLJ is "bAd".

Let us get into this.
The Star Wars Galactic Economics can be defined as both a Micro and a Macro approach to organizing resources and meeting supply and demand. But depending on the era of the galaxy will honestly determine the type of economy. In reference to a “Kamikaze Run” with a single ship that can wipe out a whole fleet on its own. We have to understand the above economic concepts in order to make an accurate assessment on when to use this type of tactic.
The entire modern economic theory is based on a “Finite” amount of resources. Everything that this planet “Earth” has is measured in a finite amount. Nothing is infinite and we cannot just create things out of thin air (Like Star Treks Replicators can). But once you apply this theory to a galaxy wide source of resources it seems to break down a little.
At the “Micro” level of economics the supply and demand can virtually be met all the time since the size of the galaxy is so large that running out of resources to produce the items for the demand. But at the “Macro” level when viewing the economy as a whole, you can run into bottle necks or other issues. Distance is always a problem when it comes to economics and trade, and even with HyperSpace capable ships. It can take days or even weeks to cross the galaxy.
So, let us take the example of using the “HyperSpace” move to destroy a very large ship and the entire fleet as well.
If the Rebellion or even the New Republic has access to a near infinite supply of resources and manpower than the concept of “wasting” a resource is thrown out the window. Due to the fact that the tactic is so simple and stupid at the same time that wasting one ship to wipe out a whole enemy fleet becomes plausible. If the New Republic disbands their entire fleet and armies and any other auxiliary support. They can then dedicate all that unused resources to building just one or two or maybe even three large ships and use the “HypeSpace” tactic at every battle. In fact, there will be no casualties since you can just automate the ship to fly and jump to hyperspace and wipe out the enemy fleet.
So, by disbanding massive fleets and massive armies and just using this above tactic the whole concept of “War” also changes as none of the above resources are needed. So, what does one do with the surplus resources? Well, you can pump them back into your citizens small businesses, cut taxes, build social programs, create national parks, etc.
So, when using TLJ “HyperSpace” tactic on an enemy fleet, what you are not realizing is that not only does it not make sense in the immediate battle sense. It does not make sense at any level when it comes to economics or war.

It is fully normal at this game.
Great job. I can only imagine what nightmare it would be to have the enemy blow it up just after you finish building it in game. That happened so many times with my star destroyers. Then again, I'll admit I'm not a pro when it comes to these games. Regardless, definitely going to check this mod out.
Not only is the ship a nightmare itself, but its escort fleet, and the six Star Destroyers inside it, and it has the ability to create star destroyers inside it, along with armor, weapons, vehicles, the thing is literally a Shipyard with a hyperdrive
The supremacy is 3 times bigger 60 kilometers, would have had 8 resurgent class star destroyers, and over 3000 tie fighters.

You'd need a dreadnought to destroy the Supremacy. The MC 85 could only slice it in two due to its experimental shields.
@@stephenwitwick3926 you'd most definetely not need a dreadnought. The MC85 not only sliced it in half, but official sources state that the resulting wreckage was sufficient to take out 30 Imperial Star Destroyers behind the Supremacy like it was the shrapnel of a giant shotgun. The logistics of why would 30 ISDs be following in tight formation with the Supremacy in-between their firing arc in relation to the resistance, allowing for a loss of that magnitude, is a wonder in itself but beyond the point. The fact is that even a cruiser was overkill and a lesser vessel would be viable to slice through the Supremacy. The "experimental shields" and the "one in a million chance" were ad hoc explanations and bad ones at that, because the ending sequence in the next movie shows another first order vessel destroyed in very much the same way above the skies of Endor, so it's canonically a replicable move.
It was stupid......

If it was possible............but the maneuver was stupid, the creator from that thing should be killed...........because the maneuver kills all the needs from big fleets.
@@NomadaFirefox440 Yep, I think it was a shortsighted way to put a shocking scene... It looked great first time, but at the expense of the coherence of all the space battles of the Star Wars universe...
You are right, probably the director who name better do not remember was more interest in the effect than in how that scene killed all the previous battles. Today in fact I was thinking who was more stupid, the Episode VII or the VIII, and probably the VIII wins at several things starting by the use of fuel as if the ships were cars.....but if you want know my opinion, the biggest stupid thing from the Episode VII was the starkiller firing intelligent super lasers crossing the galaxy at very few time. I say intelligent because at Hosnian Prime they divide the laser at several shots as if it was a nuclear ICBM. Both directors can teach others about how destroy universes.....

dumb question but at 0:50 what kind of weapon in star wars can fire that fast?! I am talking about the weapon on the KDY Endurance. I don't think there is a single gun that can fire that fast.

Wait a minute, correct me if I am wrong but why do they have to get so close to each other if in space I imagine lasers and projectiles would travel indefinitely until they hit something? I mean I get if they are small targets and can maneuver out of the way but something as big as those capital ships?

Looking really good. Just a question about balance - in most mods even a star destroyer would just melt in seconds under such firepower. In here I see smaller ships surviving under the full barrage for like 20 seconds or more. Has the balance here been shifted towards weaker weapons overall so the battles are longer?
@@NomadaFirefox440 well, in my opinion a regular sized cruiser actually should NOT be able to survive more than a few seconds being focused by something like Supremacy, shields or not. That's the whole point - it has the firepower of a fleet. But to each his own of course.

@@alextrigger8199 i think the issue is that every single gun is firing on a hardpoint and doesn't change the target until many volleys have been fired making the very small ships seemingly able to tank them
@@jaggaaff5606 this is it. thats why good players micro so much with their SSDs and focus fire a new hardpoint every second manually

TBH i'm over the insane desnity of the battles in these mods, I preferred the tactical coordination of a few units, having 1000s on screen and massive ships dilutes the experience.
@@NomadaFirefox440 To a degree though, there are traditional RTS elements of Rock/Paper/Scisors. The rebel alliance in the base game with smaller ships but emphasis on superior fighters, the empire with firepower and numbers. Using bombers to take out capital ships, corvettes to take out fighters and capital ships to bring the heavy firepower. Zann Consortium relying on underhanded tactics, cloaking, or other exotic technology.
I get a nostalgic feel from the base game, as old as it is, and don't get me wrong, I love most of the mods too, It just usually wears off fast because Capital ship spam is a less cerebral experience for me, just an opinion.

The one thing that do look dumb in Empire at war is that the health of a larger ship is determined by the components of the ship, once the shield is gone, your ship will automatically concentrate fire on ONE SPECIFIC component of the enemy. The fight is supposed to be majestic with lasers flying around, right now it looks much more boring with all the lasers aiming at one point.
If you compare that with other games, you will see how in games without hardpoints, the target is mostly the center

This soup of projectiles and hardpoints that get two shot creates 2000% overkill.
Because there is not way where I can show you the exact amount of weapons, some ships add special abilities giving more power to the ship weapons.
@@NomadaFirefox440 you can just make some hardpoints untargetable.
@@admiralcasperr I do not see the point from that, at the end, it is more code. There are more of 200 hardpoints at that ship adding turrets with movement.
