I swear to God, you are the biggest dork on RUclips and I absolutely love it. Thanks for being one of the last wholesome and humble Disneyland vloggers!
@bdajazzfan for real; it is as if I get to hang out with a very young version of my own father every time I watch his videos. It is a gift that I did not think I would ever get.
Respect. It’s always bothered me that none of the Disney RUclipsrs have ever mentioned the savings of buying single day tickets. We just went with a group of 18 and all used single day tickets. It was a slight pain but well worth it.
We just returned from our first trip to Disneyland, and I wanted to thank you for the time and effort you put into your videos. I found them tremendously valuable.
So many tips. Thank you, I need every one of them. I have a tip. Been doing this for a long time. Tax return money. If I don't need to use it. I put it in my savings and save it for Disneyland. Doesn't have to be the full amount. It works out great. That's only if it works for your needs and your family.
Oh yes! Absolutely. Wherever you get can get the money from. I don't often think about tax refund money these days. Ever since I adopted the mindset of if you are getting a refund, it means your deductions are too high on your paycheck and it's like giving the government an interest-free loan. Now I try very hard not have a refund. But I remember well the days we nearly paid off our WDW trips with a $3,000 refund. That's back when WDW only cost $3,000. 😂
Splitting meals not only saved us money, but let us try more things without getting too full. The last thing I wanted was to be uncomfortably full while doing everything at Disneyland!
I actually had a bit in there about "if you're still hungry, it's more opportunities to buy Disney snacks" but that both defeated the purpose of the tip (because you're still spending the money), and I was a little wordy about it. The video was 49 minutes before I started trimming, so some things had to go. But it's absolutely true all the same, splitting meals allows you to try more things.
This is super helpful! Actually accidently used the advanced method of buying single day tickets for my trip, AND booked them on the days you mentioned would be slower at the end of the month!🎉💪🏻 Always appreciate your insight ❤
Definitely #22 split meals!! I ate at Tiana’s this week and this was the 1st time my husband stayed home and I couldn’t even eat half the food. The plant based gumbo and half chicken will easily feed 3-4 people.
I went to Disneyland a few years ago and at one point while my party was split between those who wanted to go on the tower of terror and those who didn’t my little brother who was in a stroller had snacks for him to enjoy like cheerios and stuff. Well whilst the group was split he casually glanced around and made a decision, he wanted a small snack, so he raised his but like he was preparing a fart and instead of a fart he pulled out a single cheerio and ate it like he’d taken it from a ziplock bag. My grandparents who were part of the team outside the ride saw the whole thing and to this day we all laugh about how random the action was.
Such great tips! Thank you. I’m getting a Disney Premiere Visa card, will keep in mind the tip about 1-day passes and the Jamba Juice tip about ordering a large drink and asking for 2 small cups ( to name a few).
@34:40 Where is that refill water station that show you refiling our cup? I have been to Disneyland many times but I don't recognize that particular spot . Please , thank you
Love the videos Trevor. We're visiting again from Scotland in June and staying at the Cambria. We love it and would like the see what you guys think of it. We stayed 10 nights in 2023 and can't wait to go back soon! 🏴🇺🇲
Also maybe not a money saving tip but if you do have to rent a stroller we have used OC baby gear rentals they drop it off at the hotel and pick it up from the hotel the more days you rent the cheaper it gets. Last time we rented a double stroller for 4 days it was only $80. So cheaper then park strollers if you can’t bring your own
@@Tanyanicm I suppose that depends on how comfortable you feel doing that. Personally, I wouldn’t. I’d only use it while I’m dining there. But it’s not like the cast members are paying super close attention to the faces of every single person currently dining. So I imagine you could go back in there and they wouldn’t notice. However, it’s also good to remember that if too many people abuse a good thing that Disney could take it away if it goes viral on TikTok or something and suddenly everyone is doing it.
The only one I reliably remember is SwagBucks. Prolific seems to come highly recommended from a few searches. Survey Junkie seems fairly safe as well, without spending too much time diving into things.
Taking my daughters for the first time in a month , is it worth buying the autograph books online vs in person ? Also what other merch would you recommend for first timers thank you
@@alviedude2343 Definitely buy autograph books ahead of time. I couldn’t even find any recently. They probably have them somewhere. But they aren’t prominent anymore. Characters will still sign though.
I’m going to Disneyland in February. I have an autograph book saved in my amazon cart because my sis in law paid $30 for one at the park last November! I highly recommend reading reviews before purchasing though, some have really bad reviews.
To add onto the giftcard tip, Best buy too will have deals on disney gift cards (often a 10-15% discount). You can then compile all of those cards into one big physical card that you can use as a budget card so once it reaches zero, you are out of fun money.
That was one of my tips that I forgot!! Ugh. So, funny thing. Not funny really. But I had 31 tips planned, scripted, ready to go. And my file got deleted through a long sad tale I'll not bore you with. So I had to redo everything from scratch and only came up with 29 the second time. For the life of me I could not remember what the other two tips were. Well, kids meals is one of them! The waffles at Carnation are $10 for kids or like $18 for adults, and I think the kids meal portion is equal to the adults. I've never even ordered the adult waffle (I've seen it), but the kids one works great for both price and filling me up. Now I just need to figure out what tip #31 was. 😂
@ I really appreciate you! I love your videos and especially this one. So valuable. Keep up the good work ❤️. Sorry about the problem you had. Must have been frustrating 😟
does anyone know where the gift cards can/can’t be used at disneyland? can it be used for all of the mobile order, quick service, and sit in dining options too or just shops at disneyland?
@@Lu-bk1qq Everywhere owned and operated by Disney. So shops, restaurants, everything, with the exception of Starbucks and a bunch of the places in Downtown Disney.
How to save money in 2025? Don’t go to Disneyland.! lol! You’ll save a bundle! Jk well sort of! I mean, it’s true. It would save a bundle if you didn’t go to Disneyland, but we all love to go! I save money by buying those Disneyland gift cards if you get them at Sam’s Club you get like an extra 10$ when you purchase them. Also, if I go with two 2 meals three ways.
Tip for Disney gift cards: they are made of paper and NOT plastic. So if you rip into the packaging you might accidentally rip the card, and it won’t scan at the parks. 😢
I brought my family to Disneyland last year. I had seen a previous money saving video you did, and had all that advice in my back pocket. So I planned out my dream trip, and I was about $1000 over budget. So then I went through and figured out where I could apply these tips, and what was important to me to keep. I had a great vacation and came in with a budget I could live with.

18 tickets for multiple days would be A LOT to manage, but $100/person is huge with such a large group.

Do gift cards work on parking
