great tutorial but you really should use the extension clean up - merge faces and then delete stray edges to get rid of all those extra lines. much quicker :)
Apparently you have to get everything not from the sketchup extensions warehouse but the skectucation extensions warehouse, by installing the sketchucation plugin .
Hi Chipp, can you tell how you can use the multiview window? I just can´t seem to find the plug in to enable that option.I even joined a forum on the subject but no one seems to be able to do it. In Sketchup inference is king or queen but I was taught to model with a multiview in Maya and I miss that option. Thanks in advance
Hi Vitor, I'm sorry but I don't quite understand what exactly you mean by multiview. SketchUp can only show one view at a time. I have tabs at the top, representing SCENES which I've named Top, Front, Side, etc.. These are easily setup using the scene palette. HTH.

After you selected points and use Voronoi XY command, type on conic curve on face. It'll appear an image. Press CTRL+Z to delete this image. Press TAB and the define parameters box will appear.
One way I think might work would be to do the following: > Create a 2D polygon (whatever shape you like - a rectangle will keep things simple for you though) > Use the line tool and randomly/creatively create a number of intersecting lines across the face of the polygon (be sure that no line terminates all alone on the face - intersect everything) From here, there are a few different options that I'm aware of (and I'm new so there's probably even more) where you'd put a plugin to use... > Select the polygon and everything inside, then use the "Create Centerpoint" plugin to generate guide-points at the center of every line and face you created in step #2 > Select the polygon and everything inside, then use the "Create Guide-Point" from the FredoTools collection plugin If you're looking for a way to generate all the points randomly within an area with just one click or something like that, I'm sorry but I don't know how one might be able to do that..

You forgot to add thickness to the glass, so the refractions are crazy, but that got kinda hidden with the frost effect.

This tutorial was created in SketchUp 2015 the most current version of SketchUp as of right now--NOT SketchUp 8. Not sure if it works in SU8.
