Love this movie. Have watched many times & bought the DVD. A warm & touching story & movie. Does not matter what time of the season, this movie never gets old for me to watch. ❤❤😊😊
❤Already love it. Great start👍Christ back in Christmas: "God bless ye merry gentlemen let nothing you dismay. Remember Christ our Saviour was born on Christmas day, to save us all from satan's power when we were gone astray. O good tidings of comfort and joy!" Indeed! Yes. AMEN!!!!❤🙏✝️🛐 Thank you!!!! Can't wait for Christmas!😁God bless us all.🙏😇
I also love the fact that they set a great example of what family should be like .there is no swearing, church is so important, pure and simple no "F" word which has got to be the one of the most vulgar words ever created in our vocabulary.. The atmosphere is cherie, and the air is filled with laughter and kind words, and comlinentary towards everyone.😊
I love the way Ed Asner says Grace at the dinner table..he is so kind and loving to his family and guest through out the movie...he loves his family and Cody....the family is sooooo great and sweet!
This is Jeanette nail what I meant to say was I'm 70 yrs old and he was a verryvery nice looking man and awesome actor to I'm a local entertainer in ft worth,tx yes he was awesome,
I absolutely love this movie it's not just a great story its also great acting its one of the best christmas movie's ive seen for a long i can't stop watching it's a great thank you to all the veterans who fought for their country
Ed is so happy that Cody is here and especially after he sees the card his daughter sent him ... Wait until she finds out and I ..love that Ed says grace too. .
To the men and women who protect us I give a big thank you. I pray all are safe and to those away from their families come home soon. God Bless you all.
🌹😁Oh!!!! I knew it! I knew I'd love this movie. Thank you. Isn't this just one of the sweetest, most delightful, to-be-cherished-forever movies of all time?! Absolutely love it. Warms me right down to my toes!😊❤ Almost feel sorry for the other one, but 🤷♀️ he had his chances. Shared.😇🙏✝️
One of my favorite Christmas movies! I watch it every year. RIP Ed Asner and Lois Nettleton. Interesting fact: This was Lois Nettleton's last role before she passed in January 2008.
I love this movie.....even if it is not exactly Christmas on this warm June day. I would like respond to some of the replies implicating the lack of spontanuity regarding Cody. One should always leave things to the individual's imagination, be it in the writing as well as in the acting of the artists. Never forget that the most beautiful things are said in total silence, the eyes and the facial expressions tell more than words can ever convey. The real art in writing.....and acting.....is, what's not said or shown. We are creatures with emotions.....we feel. From B.C. Canada
I have watched for days .. I can not think of a more down to earth movie compared to all the Hallmark movies...having church in a movie makes it more American and Christian....we need GOD IN OUR LIVES INCLIUDING IN THE HALLMARK MOVIES!!!!!!!
I enjoyed this movie soooooo much ❤❤❤...its my favorite Hallmark movie....i wish they will make 2nd part the continuation???? 🙏💞💞💞👍👍👍🌟✨⭐😅😅😅😊😊😊😊havevgoid Saturday everyone and bless one 🙏✝️🛐🕊️🕊️🌺🌺🌺🌺be safe y'all 😂😂😂❤❤😅😅😅
What a lovely movie. Great actors too. There is another logging /mill movie like this, I kept thinking this was it, but if I remember correctly, it had more mill scenes in it and some drama about the mill going under...but the girl and guy got together and worked it, to carry on the family legacy.
I absolutely love how Luke makes his sardonic little grins and grunts at appropriate moments! Even in the movie Hearts On Fire, which I've watched a thousand times!
My all time go to movie, the messages taught in this movie was remarkable. This is true Christmas movie for all to watch and take forth the lessons that are taught.
I couldn’t agree more, many life lessons are taught in this 90min gem. If only more people would watch movies like this one, instead of the garbage at the movie theaters. Excellent comments.
Love this movie, full of love for others, making a difference in people’s lives. The smallest of gift of help is a blessing. We sometimes don’t realise we need the help till it’s offered.🇬🇧🙏
Love this movie. Just finished watching again. Cody & Faith belong together. Paul was not the right guy for Faith. So happy Cody & Faith fell in love & ended up as a couple. Luke & Rosie are great parents & the cast members did a great job. Wish there had been a sequel to "The Christmas Card" with the cast members now as family. Will be watching again & again. ❤❤😊😊
OMG, thank you so much for posting! I believe it was 2006/7 and this is the Christmas movie that put me on the train, of binge watching yearly Hallmark movies (even my wife gets annoyed at my affinity for Hallmark Christmas movie binging). It holds a special place in my heart for several reasons, one of the most important being that it renewed the spirit of Christmas, in my heart and in my soul. Wishing you all a very merry, blessed, happy and healthy Christmas. ✝️ 🎄🎁 🎅🏼🧑🏼🎄
These are the sort of parents I wished I would have had. Loving and caring for others. A stable loving home. Parents who love each other bring up their children with love and a stable home life. My mum did her best bless her. But this movie makes me happy that there is love and light out there. Yes it’s a movie but just think if everyone loved and cared like this how wonderful life could be. Much love to you all for all the months of the year.🌹🙏🇬🇧
I have loved this movie for years! I have a friend - anther Adria believe it or not - who lives in Nevada City and remembers the filming. this is written well, acted well, and leaves one with a happy feeling of hope for good things prevailing over bad things. It is worth watching over again. I only wish the male lead did more movies but evidently he gave up acting for something else. Our loss.
I look for this movie every Christmas. Sometimes, I find it as a free movie, sometimes not. I hope this is available in 6 months. Thank you for uploading it.
Thank you, Mr. Loew for sharing this. I enjoyed watching the gift you gave to all of us who watches this. Peace and love be with you always. ~Sherrie in South Carolina
Love this movie, I’ve been to Nevada City and seen the Cafe, the hotel, the Church, the lumber yard, and the bridge and steps, oh and the covered bridge, surreal to see all of that!
This is my new favorite Christmas movie The Christmas Card. Every one of the principal actors played their roles to perfection. Emotional and evocative performances by the young leads. Sterling, solid and nuanced performances by Ed Asner and Lois Nettleton. Would like to have read the names of the cast. Excellent movie - one that has attained classic status.
I like to read the credits of a good movie too and several of these movies don’t run them so I Google those. Yesterday I watched Annie’s Point (excellent movie) with Betty White and Richard Thomas and it didn’t give the title or the plot so I googled their names and it popped right up!! 🤓
It's been years since RUclips didn't get in this glorious Christmas movie and put tons of loud offensive ads but this morning during my early Saturday breakfast and dealing with some😥issues in my life I got lucky, not 1 ad a💓💓💓 complete film plus crystal clear on the video💓and no zooming in and out! Old? 2006 is not old at all.
A boyfriend for christmas also from 2000s....very good one.
Yes the “old” Hallmark movies were best.
THANK YOU TO ALL OUR VETERANS, THANKFUL FOR YOU.
Thecutest part in this movie is when Faith and Cody order the same food from the darling restaurant in town.
That is also my favorite part I have always loved that Canteen design is so cozy and has so much light
I absolutely love this movie. Thanks for uploading, love a happy ending 😊❤
🌹😁Oh!!!! I knew it! I knew I'd love this movie. Thank you.

It is amazing how Cody loves her and does not tell her, but that is what makes up the story..
Such a wonderful film makes me cry every time and laugh a lot too Thank you for sharing

I love Ed Asner in this movie...he really shows the love for his family and friend§ and more importantly the church...his wife is sooooo nice too.
“Paul” was in a commercial for gas-ex. Funny as hell. So now I refer to him as fart guy 🤣👌
My favorite Christmas movie. I watch it every season and in between. Everything about it is great.
