With my cynical views as you kindly put it regarding my descriptive stance on all of these "Hallmark" Christmas Romance movies, I beg to differ and re-iterate! The very point somehow has been completely missed??? ( Which is: ) No doubt you have watched a good number of these "Hallmark" produced movies? It is such a shame that they are all so predictable! from start to finish! They all come across so SUGAR COATED! Filmed in, I re-iterate again! inside well to do Homesteads with well to do families/people! In reality! it just does not happen that way! The scripts are so similar with cringeworthy finales, only changed by location or actors! The False and Fake Cheesy lines with overbearing eyes and sighs, Cooch'y Coo romantic behaviour and comments one to another is rather childish and short lived like as if in fairy tale world! In a real life scenario, Adults would not really be wanting to be seen doing all that! that way??? It's not about chasing the American dream! It would be fair and reasonable to suggest that has somewhat fallen along by the wayside years ago? When you see one "Hallmark! movie! you've seen them all??? I would ask a small favour? would you be kind enough to explain to the uneducated as to WHY? so many actresses in these movies despite their age all seem to speak with such whiny, nasally and gravelly up and down tones in their voices with variations of speed and as if they have a rather sore throat??? Do they do that to make an impression false! or otherwise to make themselves look good ? or sound more attractive to the opposite sex??????? Brian Griffiths I've watched quite a lot of these movies but, in recent years I did start to wonder if the writers and producers never tire of saving yet another old house or Christmas tree farm etc. The stories are indeed all the same. So if you've seen one you've seen them all. Sadly the majority of the actors are mediocre. Having said all that I must add that sometimes the acting and directing are really good and then one can (somewhat) forget about the rehashing of the familiar themes and enjoy the movie. It's not quite December yet but Merry Christmas!

Love this movie. Watched it three times. Love the Hallmarks Christmas movies. My Mom ,sister and I watched them last year together. This year it is hard as she passed away this January. So now we watched them by our self or together when we can.

My American buddies invited me over and told me that they could offer me a rent-free place to stay in a suburb of San Diego, California, and in downtown Austin, Texas ... Being on a tight budget, I would be able to visit only one of those states ... Which of them do you think I should choose and why? My main interests are practicing my American English with native speakers, visiting natural wonders and meeting single women searching for a life partner. (I sure hope that American women are as nice and caring as they are portrayed in all those Hallmark movies). Also, my friends suggested that I learn to use some US slang or I won’t be able to communicate with the local residents on a proper level but I’m not sure if it’s worth the effort … Won’t Americans be trying to express their thoughts in plain English seeing that they are dealing with a foreigner?
