      You'll need you upgrade the subframe, Prop-shaft, suspension and other important parts @Mike DriveTribe
      Also your tyres are the limiting factor with bigger BHP!!

      @@raycyst8037 it's only a six, but the Ford Barra 4L is a massive motor, some one in Australia put one of those in with a massive turbo. Admittedly not much standard MX5 front suspension or sub frame left but it's in and works. Definitely not a street car.

      Yeah, that's what l thought. It looks twice the size and even though it's only 2 litres, 260 HP from the supercharged version seems a bit low, but it all comes down to weight. I'd like to see a kg comparison between the 2 motors.

    My first rear wheel drive car was an ex-South Wales electricity board Morris Marina 10cwt van. It was rock, much tougher than the 7cwt version, back axle, gearbox, suspension etc.. Brilliant workhorse.

    The original Connaught V-10 was supercharged and made 300hp and 274 lb/ft torque. It was supposed to be mated to a hybrid system in a tiny sports car.

    Hehe 13B is 1.3L and makes the same horsepower NA or Turbo. But seriously, what an amazing project! There is a guy who installed a Toyota V12 into a Miata. That V12 Miata Guy is his channel. It would be amazing to have both miatas one day comparing on video!

    It's a unique build, but a V10 that only makes 200bhp...I'm not sure that the extra weight in the front is worth it for such a small power gain.

      What is the purpose of having this engine with only 200hp (other than sound)?
      You make V10 bc You can rev higher and make powah. This engine should be capable of not less than 350hp.

      Came to see if someone else was thinking the same thing. It'll sound cool, and be unique, but a Honda K, LS, or decent V6 would give more power for less.

      That's exactly the point. To do something no one else has done. The weight is the same as that Cosworth 4 cylinder block.

    My current favorite Miata swap is a Naturally Aspirated Volvo 5-cylinder with individual throttle bodies in a NA Miata.

    I love this engine, it looks perfect to install in almost any rear wheel drive car
    and it is naturally aspirated with 200HP not too weak and not an overkill and it sounds amazing when I heard it from the other video
    I wish I could buy something like this and install it on any small car I want

    Genuinely cool idea. The MX-5 is obviously quite a mundane car but also a great starting point for projects like this. An everyday car fitted with a super exotic engine is very interesting.

      There’s been people who put V12’s in a Miata and usually they put the firewall back to make room. This gives some extra room and with two cilinders less than the v12’s, I reckon they’ll be fine

    Now thanks to Drivetribe and thanks to the internet the guy who made the engine will get more attention and more people to order his engine since it's a 2.0L V10 and possibly fuel efficient engine with a unique sound but with less weight.

    Mazda made a 1.6 litre V6 in the 90s,never understood why the never put it in the mx5. It was in the mx3 and was really smooth.

    I personally built 3 Monster Miatas in Chicago. Won a fee trophies and had a blast. Sold my Monster a long time ago. It was very fun. Everyone loved the setup.

      Anyone can get caught out by sudden oil flow from the sump, especially if the oil is really warm.
