Step by step. Good luck with your recovery. Like to Fordy. A nice weekend for everyone.
Cellcom Full and Marathon today in Green Bay Wisconsin. Sad a little as they are not doing it anymore after this year. This will be my 8th with them! A lot of running friends I will know on the course. I'll be rocking the Hoka Mach 6. Keep mentally stay focused as you work your way back.
Thanks for the vids and inspiration!!!
Thank you
I was on #teambroken for about 3 months last year with a strained ligament in my knee. I was going crazy near the end. Pretty sure everyone around me was glad when I started running again.
To be clear, I am not saying I am glad you are injured (far from it), but I am really enjoying this content as a very injury-prone runner. Like my physio knows I'll be back every 3-4 months. And yes ADHD brain sucks, especially now that I am rationing the meds as there is a shortage since forever...
thanks I know what you mean
Great video! Calf injury sucks, but the pogos are going to be great for bringing the capacity of the calves back. It’s hard, but you have to remember, after the tear, you’ve had to grow new calf muscle fibers which need time to come back to near the strength of all the other muscle fibers which have had (enter age here) yrs of running and jumping to develop capacity and strength.
Fordy the body builder 💪🏾😎

Injury is the worst…started riding and gym stuff. I need proper running back soon!
wish you better
Feel your frustration. . I've got a hamstring tendon injury.. not fun. But you will get your strength back from muscle memory. Your calves have to be super strong, they take 6 to 8 times your body weight, so don't rush matey
thanks
How long have you had your hamstring injury? I've 2 1/2 months with the same injury
@markhill8590 has been the same for me , lots of glute isometrics, am upto a 4k easy run today, it's been a long slow return. Tendons take ages depending on how much damage. They love isometrics then slowly add load. Hope that helps. See a good sports physio for a plan :)
You will soon be out running again and your strength will come back.
the fordybuilder arc begins

@@FordyRuns I'm recovering from a grade 1 achilles strain currently, and just reintroducing my mileage back to around 50% of my peak week... not really at my desired level of fitness but getting back eventually
This is literally a video of my life with my own calf injury, except I have a Jess instead of a Sophie 😂 #yeahbutwhencanIrun
Sorry to hear this
@@FordyRuns it’s all good, it’s been the kick up the backside to tell me to return to regular S&C
What about swimming while injured?
