Bob Colacello edited Andy Warhol's Interview magazine and was a close collaborator with Warhol for many years. Bob's biography of Warhol, Holy Terror, has been widely acclaimed as one of the greatest insights into the elusive and influential artist. Now Holy Terror is back in a revised, enhanced edition. @@77justluigi I wonder if she is still alive - did you see that doc about her? 12 or so years ago. It was more about her than Andy. She still smoked, and obsessed about getting cancer until her yearly chest X-ray, and when it comes back good, the first thing she does is light a cigarette. She was food=addicted but treating it. It was sad.. but I'm afraid to look if she is still alive....I loved her. She's a sweetheart.

This is priceless! PRICE-less war stories!! I just came from Amazon and it's a shame but ''Pie In The Sky'' is ''currently unavailable''. I saw ''Pie In The Sky'' on Hulu of all places 5-6 years ago(??). It's hard to believe but ''Pie In The Sky: The Brigid Berlin Story'' (2000) is TWENTY years old now!

Warhol and Corman have a number of things in common. Having worked with the latter, I see a lot of similarities. I also knew a few film people who had no idea how much they were like Warhol. It's as if, for a time, there was a kind of Warhol gene in the population (or what we now refer to as a Dawkins meme). After that, US culture increasingly became Warholian, the longest-lasting 15 minutes since social self-observations blossomed.

It's better to compare Banksy and Basquiat since Basquiat came from a street artist background. Although Banksy went far further as a street artist, it was Basquiat who first brought this kind of work into the realm of fine art@@frontbum420
