And even before it became its own channel, it used the same theme when it was part of CN. That's kind of boring. The only thing I don't like about the new Boomerang is the programming. They show Gumball, Teen Titans Go! and Garfield Show... Those shows aren't even from 2000-2010.
I appreciate how all the bumpers on boomerang embraced a more modern aesthetic for their time. They could’ve easily fallen back on old school style music and stuff to fit in with the shows they were airing, but instead they diverted to techno, punk, underground rap, and drum n Bass to appeal to a younger audience. It made watching old cartoons feel cool. I don’t know who was running Cartoon Network at the time but whoever they were, they knew exactly what they were doing making that channel as successful as it was.
Damn that's some catchy and nostalgic shit. This channel and cartoon network carved me into the cartoon loving person I am today. I wanna make my own animated series one day

The funny thing I find is about like a week or 2 before the relaunch, I was thinking about how the look has been around for so long when I was watching it for some reason, then like a week later I turned it on and saw the relaunch, so for all I know I may've saw it the day before the relaunch I don't know, now that I think about it more, I kinda wish they still had the old look.

I remember watching the network when every adult block would change. I also recall gumball being on the network at the time I also remembered it rebranding. It first showed a smurfs promo then a yogi bear bumper and a short. Then the boomerang rebrand officially happened. There was one time where they played the old bumper by mistake. And that last bumper was like the last charm of the old boomerang. 😢

that songs been stuck in my head for over a decade! i remember sometime in early 2001 Cartoon Network would use this theme after midnight to promote Boomerang with a few hours of old shows so everybody was aware of it and this was before Adult Swim became in the line up. sadly our cable company didn't pick up the channel in our package (i remember you had to pay extra to get it), so this theme is the only Nostalgia i have of it.
