In 2008, a company named Capacity made various bumpers for Cartoon Network dubbed "Noods". These bumpers showed dummy like figurines playing with various colors and would transform into the many different characters from the Cartoon Network shows from the time. Over 40 minutes of bumpers were made for this era. The Noods branding was replaced in late May of 2010 with the Check-It rebrand. This video is a compilation of nearly every non promo bumper produced during this time period. So chill out, relax, and enjoy the 40 minutes of nostalgia. Cartoon Network may have not been the best during this time, but hey, the Noods were pretty neat.

I feel like if CN had these guys today, they would’ve been made into a series of collectible vinyl figures like funko pops.
That would be cool.
Well, the South American counterpart of the noods did
It would look like toonix
Guys...
Just get a normal D.I.Y. funko pop, and call it a nood.
Problem solved.
I mean look up Mighty Muggs, they were from the time and basically the same thing
A lot of people dislike the nood era but the bumpers were cute, fun, and still creative. The biggest issue was they technically replaced the city era and that era was so damn good.
Are there horrible Nicktoons Shows like Fanboy & Chum Chum or Pig Goat Banana Cricket?
Wrong era. That was the Fall era which replaced the City era.
@@kootunesscrewy technically the Yes era replaced the city era. But those two eras were so short lived that most people don't remember them well. I'm one of those people.
@@ajtstvandmusicarchivechann1585 Yes was actually the last era that at least had some classic feel for the network before the Fall era doomed it.
@@kootunesscrewy cartoon network was never doomed. It just went through a rough patch.
I honestly kind of wished Cartoon Network brought these back. I think it would be fun if they actually make real figures of the Noods and make them the Cartoon Network equivalent to Funko Pops.
Dude as a kid I used to think they were actual figures. Forgot how much I loved these as a kid
they brong it backin one of the check it bumpers
I thought I was the only one who noticed that little noody guy.
I think the noods were made in collaboration with Kidrobot or a brand similar to that. They were inspired by a set of already existing vinyl figurines that look similar iirc.
Which is actually the reason why Latin America and Southeast Asia (or apparently just the Philippines???) had the Toonix.
That was exactly what I was thinking!
while there were crappy shows that aired during this era, they did still air some good shows. i didn’t hate the noods i found then unique. i’m just lucky i grew up with the powerhouse and city eras.
what Bad Cartoons???? the only cartoons that i didnt like was the saturdays. and all tho squirell boy wasnt something alot of ppl like even if it had. the same voice actor for billy and zim from invader zim but ed edd n eddy and billy and mandy amd powerpuff girls amd dexter. yes we know there golden age cartoons. but camp lazlo and flapjack and Chowder were amazing cartoons i mean I dont really count gumball being a cool or popular cartoon it was just🗑 &Boreing my gym partners a monkey was a good decent cartoon and Robot Boy i mean anything after that besides Adventure time and Regular Show being. the last two. good cartoons. anything after like Ttg uncle grandpa and clarence were all🗑🔥💩
@@Nathan-Explosion Dang I liked Clarence and Uncle Grandpa, 🤷♂️
@@Dektoonics_inc. same, those 2 shows are goofy and funny and don't have a serious lore.
Does Johnny Test count as one of those crappy cartoons?
I liked Those Cartoon Network shows from the 2010s. However I never really watched Steven Universe that much. But TTG was insufferable.
Never thought that Scooby-Doo, Pikachu, Chris McLean and Barack Obama would be seen together

I remember these Cartoon Network bumpers of Noods when I was 8 to 10 years old. It's a nostalgic. What a great memories.
@Thegreatspencer Yes, I’m currently 24. I’ll be turned 25 this August.
Even though the Noods did brought in live action to replace their classic cartoons, this era actually helped the Ed, Edd n Eddy finale get successful ratings and saved Looney Tunes/Merrie Melodies and Pink Panther from being obscure. After that stuff did very well in their ratings, they've decided to go back to making cartoons, starting with Adventure Time. Even if those post-2010 shows were kinda my downfall for the network, at least the network was turning back to normal.
not sure looney tunes would be obscure even if they didn’t. that show is forever
Uh. The Looney Tunes shorts were removed from television in 2004, due to the failure of Back in Action.
@@kootunesscrewy Didn’t we just get a bugs bunny movie
That was after the marathon, dude.
A lot of shows premiered in 2010 on Cartoon Network than I remembered.
i miss the noods :( they made shows and holidays more fun the spooky vibe the christmas. jingle this was the best era
Watch the bumpers from the Powerhouse and CN City eras and compare them to this. I understand perfectly that you enjoyed this era because of the nostalgia ( as well as this being your first era to watch from Cartoon Network, right?). But trust me, many of us who saw Cartoon Network since it began in 1992 hated this era so much. If it wasn't for Adventure Time and Regular Show that saved the channel, Cartoon Network would have went bankrupt due to the low ratings. Look up the history of and the downfall of Cartoon Network if you don't believe me that Cartoon Network was going downhill from summer 2006-early 2010. Read the comments and you will see why many hated the "Yes" and "Nood" eras.
@@RockNRollSurf Trust me I remember the CN City era as well, I caught it towards the end with their CN City summer 2006 era. and yeah the weird "YES!" era with fred fredburger was so bad and a huge downgrade from CN City, and the fall 06 - summer 07 bumpers were lame too, but when they introduced the noods it was a breath of fresh air from shitty stock footage of their shows thrown together with lazy overlays (kinda like todays CN bumpers) to something pretty creative and the fact that there's almost 50 mins of this is impressive. CN Real was a bad look for them but they did have good shows from 07-09 the real problem was them canceling their ongoing shows. But honestly I would go through peak 2009 CN over current day CN any day at least the schedule had variety. Sucks that 90% of their cartoon cartoons shows got the boot from the schedule but some did paly from time to time, and I'd rather have 10 shows missing from the schedule rather than all of them like today
@@revomatic8520 Actually, the Yes era was kinda creative to me. Seeing characters dancing around on a red background actually influenced most RUclipsrs I've seen to make videos with their characters moving around on colored backgrounds. It also influenced me to use "Cooper Black" (the font that was used for the "Yes." slogan)
I respect your opinion on the Yes era. Also, Fred Fredburger was a great character in my opinion, considering that he was voiced by and (somewhat) created by C.H. Greenblatt (the creator of Chowder).
@@RockNRollSurf The channel was actually saved in late 2009 when they brought back Pink Panther and Looney Tunes and aired the finale of Ed, Edd n Eddy, which all three got alot of ratings. Without those successes, the network would've stayed stuck with live action.
I remembered the Halloween holiday bumpers when I was a id back then good vibes. 😔
After CN City, this was definitely the best era of Cartoon Network.

I can’t remember What age I see this version of CN But I Miss the Old Cartoon Network
You know, this may not have been as good as the City bumpers but I really do think this was a decent attempt at recreating the crossover aspect of those bumpers. I also love how they made custom bumpers for the lesser shows like Skunk Fu and Chop Socky Chooks as well as Camp Lazlo, a show that ended before this era began. I only wish it continued into the 2010s because I would've loved to see what they do with Adventure Time and Regular Show.
It continued until 2010, but starting on the first day of 2010, they slightly changed the bumpers…
I think Lazlo was airing a bit more at the time, compared to the others. Though, it would be tone down around early 2009.

as much as this era gets so much flack (I agree with most of the issues of this era) for its shoehorning of live action content, the death of toonami, and the cancellation of many beloved shows due to the 2008 economy being pretty bad, these bumps are things I liked about this era. The bumps, while definitely not as good as the city era, really ooze a lot of personality. Other than the 2012 anniversary bumps, CN’s bumps nowadays don’t have as much character ever since.
Plus, Cartoon Network *at least* did give Ed Edd and Eddy and Foster’s Home proper finales, make 4 new shows, feature some Canadian shows, as well as still letting a couple of cancelled shows air as reruns… so at least they weren’t *that* heartless to their shows… unlike the WB merger with Discovery. Obviously this doesn’t excuse the era’s shortcomings, though.
Also, Latin America did similar bumps (Toonix) during the early 2010s except they’re a bit better since the toonix models are more diverse and there’s more to work with.
