I'm doing this next month and although i haven't done it yet, from my daily practices of meditation, i strongly relate to having blissful days followed by horrible depressing days. Glad to know i'm not the only one as i started to convince myself i might be going crazy and that rather than having profound realisations, i'm actually just having profound delusions. I guess it must be a normal part of the process when letting go of everything you've believed yourself to be. For me, it's usually that those blissful days are from the realisation that i don't need to live up to any labels to be lovable -- but then the depressing days are where my ego starts saying, "You DO need to be something to be lovable and now that you're letting go of what that something is, you will not be loved." Anyone relate to this too? Also thanks for the video!
Your experience was clearly a top-tenth-percentile (at least) success case in trialling the technique. I hope you go back again soon, or perhaps serve on a course - it will be a pleasure to hear your response after a second experience. I also humbly recommend you strongly consider two hours of meditation per day, or at least two half-hours; you might find that time constraints aren't as solid as they appear. Be happy!
thank you! I definitely will be going back for another course at some point. I have been doing half hour in the mornings, but you are right these time constraints are not as solid as I tend to believe
When I took that course I met one korean guy who kept taking 10 days course one after another in different places in Nepal. He was very much enlightened one. He could even see peoples halo. Unbelievable 😮
Amazing, so excited for you to keep learning. “I feel like a balanced life is coming into fruition” is progress but still a grasp-ful sentence. Don’t worry about “your” or “balance” or “fruit” (production). Just be.
Just to add: not every person responds the same way to the same kind of meditation. Even the Buddha knew this, as he often gave custom instructions tailored to a person. If you're curios, there's this Jeffery Martin guy who has done a quite extensive research project on this, which has helped me better understand what happened to me as I went on a retreat.
Yes important comment here. If a person has trauma they may need to practice trauma informed meditation. Otherwise they can reactivate the trauma and the practice becomes contraindicative.
Yes I read the comments. And it is true That there are many paths to Truth. And we are not made in a way so all will go on same path Though our goals are same and one . Well many years back I did this 10 days course. And it was great .initially tough but gradually we get habituated.I felt peace and calm But it wasn't my path .Now for almost 15years I am on a different path and am happy to follow it . Meditation is universal.and we all will reach that goal one day whichever path we travel Best wishes to all spiritual seekers .
I recognize and remember the body distortion sensations from when I was much younger ! Especially the 90 degree rotation in the face / vision .. very recognizable and inspiring video ! Thank you
he 8th and 9th day of the course are known as Maitri Day, which is dedicated to learning compassion and using the focus gained in the previous 7 days to promote world peace and generate compassion. Although we are all taught to have compassion, it is often not practiced. However, on the 8th and 9th day, you undergo a transformative experience. I still chant the prayer they sing, which doesn’t talk about any god or yourself. The sole focus is on other beings and their well-being. It’s the song of compassion.
I did a 10-day in 2011 at SCVC. After being introduced to the practice, it took 1 full year to take that final step. It was one of the top 10 events in my life- one I will never forget🙏 Namaste.
Wyeth, I am so impressed by you. What a wonderful, detailed and informative explanation of your experience. I tried a Vipassana retreat in 2019 and only made it until day four. I feel a great amount of regret and failure, and one day may attempt it again. Although, like you said, it's extremely difficult. I'm so happy you got to experience it and for the positive benefits it has given you. Thanks for this video.
Nice experience and very well described. I was interested in somebody other than me taking about Vipassana. Definitely one of the best experience I ever done in my life. Don't know if I would do it again tho, was very difficult to complete it. It opened new realities on my life, I know teach how to meditate to my clients. 10 days is very long in my opinion, 10 min a day would do the work 80% of the time... Good luck for your channel. Keep going!
I did a 10-day in Nepal. Life changing. I didn't keep it up. I tried but in the real world, not very sustainable. Years later, I'm meditating again. I want to do a 10-day again.
Thank you for the review ~ I found it profound and informative. I truly appreciate it. I have already been thinking of attending, when I came across your experience. Blessings ✨💫💓🌺🥰💞💗🙏🏻✨

Great content and video. Very thoroughly and chill. And yes, Vipassana is hard work, but uts totally worth it, imo. If I would win the lottery, I maybe would even start my own Vipassana centers. Because here in Germany, it takes so long to get a free place for a retreat.
Thank you for the excellent summary of your experience. I knew little about this type of retreat, so I'm very thankful for your honest insight. I'm very similar to you in that my mind jumps around a lot and I'm often reacting vs. acting! I'm definitely going to consider attending one of these retreats. 🙏
Thank you for sharing your experiences through this type of meditation. Concentration & discipline seems to be at first the hardest but once built up the momentum becomes advantage afterwards for deliverance and once you have tune in, you gain creativity productivity. I occasionally meditate I feel the beneficial aspects awareness and sensation parts and areas of my body meditation helps me to be grounded while harmonic sense love and peace and outside . I let go the worries thoughts and detached myself from distractions and judgment programing ego-mind modern world,🙏😊 God bless all and I wish all a wonderful life 💞🙏🙏🙏🌌
If you attain 4 forth Jhana to recall back past lives, you can see the truth how Karma work. Then if you study Abhidhamma, you can use that forth Jhana to see arising and vanishing trillion time per second form&mind moment. After that is the real insight meditation😊❤
i cannot believe the fact that a fucking distracted person like me watched the entire 25 mins long video , good luck to me going to vipassana 9-20 sept
I'm only 12 minutes in, and want to say how much I appreciate your insight and honesty. Also, the imagery, the music, and your voice make it enjoyable and relaxing. So thank you. Could you please tell me what this music is, who's it by, and what the name of this piece 🎶 Thanks again 😊
Thankyou for sharing your experience. It’s helpful for me as I look to deepen my own seeking inclinations. You exercised courage and strength to get there and I commend you!👏👏🙏🥰
Sounds like your on a good path now! This retreat is called a boot camp of meditation it’s not always been beneficial for people. They are researching the negative effects that can happen at Brown University. Cheetah house. Many come back with difficulty. Sounds like your on a good path now! You might not need this retreat. I was sorta talked into my first retreat and looking back I don’t recommend it to people. Don’t discount your own hard work to get where you are now. That’s awesome!! Good luck!
Why don't you recommend it to people? I mean, you can even google meditation and i've never ever heard of any bad side effects that can come from meditating....It just really makes no sense.

Seems you need another 10 but so do I 🙏
We never hear “outside” our selves. Vibration hits our ears and changes to electrical/ chemical sensations. This is then interpreted by our brain. thank you! I definitely will be going back for another course at some point. I have been doing half hour in the mornings, but you are right these time constraints are not as solid as I tend to believe
Thank you so much for such clear profound personal video of your experience. 🙏🏾
When I took that course I met one korean guy who kept taking 10 days course one after another in different places in Nepal. He was very much enlightened one. He could even see peoples halo. Unbelievable 😮
Could you please elaborate
Amazing, so excited for you to keep learning. “I feel like a balanced life is coming into fruition” is progress but still a grasp-ful sentence. Don’t worry about “your” or “balance” or “fruit” (production). Just be.
Thank you❤️
Totally appreciate your video and sharing your experience. Thank you 🙏🏾
Will attend a Vipassana next week in Perth Australia
I hope your course is beneficial!
I tried vipassana body scanning, i honestly couldnt focus. Now i do do nothing meditation and can finally reach a still mind no thots
And it was great .initially tough but gradually we get habituated.I felt peace and calm
But it wasn't my path .Now for almost 15years I am on a different path and am happy to follow it .
Meditation is universal.and we all will reach that goal one day whichever path we travel
Best wishes to all spiritual seekers .
Is there a video (what’s the name) regarding this research?
Yeah shiva created 118 methods
1:08 I love this. That's exactly what it's like. Also, great to see another Frank Yang enjoyer. We're all gonna make it brah
I did a 10-day in 2011 at SCVC. After being introduced to the practice, it took 1 full year to take that final step. It was one of the top 10 events in my life- one I will never forget🙏 Namaste.
Mind sharing your other 10 life events? I want to try more life changing activities
Thank you❤️
Wow, this information is thorough and I appreciate the images depicted too. Thanks for sharing as I'm contemplating going on one of these journeys.
This is just the beginning 🌱
I wish you get to do many more and explore new depth each time...😊
Nice experience and very well described.
Keep going!
10minutes? Come on man.
Very very very good video, my compliments!!
Thank you for sharing and communicating your experience.
I just completed a Vipassana service period today. It's awesome.
Very interesting, thanks for sharing your experience.
🥰😇🙏 thank you for your contribution
great review, I will have to try this
I did a 10-day in Nepal. Life changing. I didn't keep it up. I tried but in the real world, not very sustainable. Years later, I'm meditating again. I want to do a 10-day again.
Thanks for sharing your experience
I thoroughly enjoyed your video sharing. Thank you.
Interesting. I am gonna try to meditate more.

Excellent video! Thank you
❤️
Great video ; excellent summary ☺
Great content and video.
Very thoroughly and chill.
And yes, Vipassana is hard work, but uts totally worth it, imo.
If I would win the lottery, I maybe would even start my own Vipassana centers.
Because here in Germany, it takes so long to get a free place for a retreat.
Meditation, being profoundly "in the moment," you notice the flavors of the food at a much higher level of awareness.
Well articulated, buddy!
Very well articulated. You have taken very important first steps. Do practice min 1hr each day, this is the most important use of your time.
Thank you!
Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for the excellent summary of your experience. I knew little about this type of retreat, so I'm very thankful for your honest insight. I'm very similar to you in that my mind jumps around a lot and I'm often reacting vs. acting! I'm definitely going to consider attending one of these retreats. 🙏
Glad my video has been able to help! You won’t regret attending
Really interesting video mate .loved it 🤙
Thank you❤️
Thank you for sharing your experiences through this type of meditation.
I let go the worries thoughts and detached myself from distractions and judgment programing ego-mind modern world,🙏😊 God bless all and I wish all a wonderful life 💞🙏🙏🙏🌌
Keep it up! Godspeed
great video thx
Like this video. I do meditation since 2016 but this is the best experience. Thanks 🙏
Thank you for sharing this❤️
If you attain 4 forth Jhana to recall back past lives, you can see the truth how Karma work. Then if you study Abhidhamma, you can use that forth Jhana to see arising and vanishing trillion time per second form&mind moment. After that is the real insight meditation😊❤
Great video im currently in vinapasanna retreat and i need something to reassure me 😊 thanks
Thanks a lot!
i cannot believe the fact that a fucking distracted person like me watched the entire 25 mins long video , good luck to me going to vipassana 9-20 sept
Thats a good start🤣 good luck my friend
Did u go?
I'm only 12 minutes in, and want to say how much I appreciate your insight and honesty.
Also, the imagery, the music, and your voice make it enjoyable and relaxing. So thank you.
Could you please tell me what this music is, who's it by, and what the name of this piece 🎶
Thanks again 😊
This is a great video.
💮💮💮💮Thanks for sharing your wise insights, all the best with your spiritual journey - path to Nirvana! 🙏🙏🙏
Thank you!
Thankyou for this Video🙏🧡
Thank you so much.
I was truly inspired 😊🎉
❤️
They have these in the UK. I've been wanting to do one also for a while. 🙏
You should do it!
