      @John Colombo Strength and muscle maturity peaks in early to mid 30s. Scientifically proven. You're at your strongest after 30 and before 40.
      Cardio may go down a bit, and injury prevention and healing might become more difficult, plus old injuries stack up (which is why most athletes retire). But if you train smart, you will be at your best after 30.

    Yeah, I would love to watch the entire thing, completely unedited, and then see some discussion with the guys at the end of the session. Total respect for both athletes. You could see that Ryan was toying with GSP, but it's still impressive that GSP trains with monsters five years after retiring.

      @@mikemacdude nope not really he's far superior than him om the ground just not BJJ, Ryans awareness, prowess, and grip his out of this world and is quite a lot better at BJJ than GSP, but when you add pankration and wrestling into the mixed GSP has mastered all of these and is still a black belt in bjj, so Ryan is unfortunately not better than him by any means on the ground, but just superior at bjj.

    Obviously Gordon will win if this was a pure grappling matchup. GSP always said he was not really an expert in any single particular martial art but has high level knowledge of they work together. With that being said, GSP is great at mixing things up.

    What’s crazy is Gordon was giving George his props, he did not want to dominate him, he actually let him out of several scenarios where he could have destroyed him. Props to Gordon for not making George feel like he was inadequate.

    Ryan always looks so patient, his movements so purposeful, no waisted movements. You can see that slick single George has, his wrestling thoroughbred. I was there for the glory days of GSP. So much dog in him. He was never the biggest, or the most naturally talented. But no one wanted it as much.

      @@cdb0816 I wouldn’t go that far, but mma is a different game to jujitsu completely, although he has a huge advantage on the ground, wrestling defense is top notch these days, who knows he might be a beast on feet, wouldn’t surprise me, if not he has the perfect mind to learn, also younger than most realize. Count him out of a fight at your own risk. ready for the champs I’m not so sure but would be a tough out for anyone especially in 5 round main events

    I had the pleasure of rolling once with GSP shortly after his first UFC loss to Matt Hughes... the man was chiseled out of granite, but a true gentleman, when rolling with someone a lot less experienced (me!) than him.

      It's not lol 🙄. MMA wrestling relies more on leg entries, even to get to the cage to use upper body takedowns etc. Gordon isn't an elite, explosive wrestler with doubles and singles. Try upper body clinching in the open with Ngannou or Gane etc and eventually you'll get knocked out. And the elite wrestlers in the division he isn't taking down.
